Hello everyone!
I explain my situation:
I broke the screen of my phone (Xperia Arc S LT18i). So I used a tutorial to change my screen ->
During reassembly, I had two problems:
- The main micro phone does not work anymore (so I ordered the circuit 3 buttons at the bottom of the phone where the mic on ebay, I think it can necessarily come here, because no groundwater is damaged ).
- I can no longer activate the WiFi (I tried to reboot lots of times, but no results). When I go to Settings, WiFi menu is grayed out so I did not hand over the activation of WiFi and when I go into the WiFi menu, it stays on "Turning on WiFi." (same as the micro, no groundwater is damaged!)
I wanted to know where could this possibly be, and whether there is a complete nomenclature of the phone to find out where the module WiFi Hardware level.
Thank you for your answers

Hi Guys,
Ive got a few BT niggles which im sure are easy enough to get round when someone starts getting some custom roms out but i cant seem to find a way around them at the minute, issues are:
- When phone is in standby (aka screen off) and you try and make a call via bluetooth car kit it turns phone and on says please unlock before making a call, if i turn the screen on before making the call it goes through.
- When you disconnect from car kit aka turn the car off etc it comes up with a notification and says its been disconnected and to hold the phone to your ear, this doesnt go away until you press dismiss.
None of these problems are show stoppers by any means but they are annoying when you just want to get in / out the car and making calls etc, aka i cant just get in the car and make a call, i have to turn the screen on first, and i cant get out the car and carry on as ive got to press dismiss on the screen as it keeps the phone switched on (screen on) until you press dismiss so i could accidentally press buttons etc plus will wear battery down.
If anyones managed to work these problems out then please let me know!
Cheers
Jas
Voice Command V1.6
Hi Guys,
I also have a problem with bluetooth... well voice command.
I had the TYTN 2 with WM6.1 working perfectly with VC 1.6 and so naturally assumed that TP2 would be the same, sadly I was wrong :-(
It doesnt even try to use the software, bluetooth connects perfectly but I cannot initiate VC with the usual hardware button.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problems - in an Audi A6 for what it's worth. On my TP2 had both a PIN device lock and the option to show owners info when switched on.
Disabled both of these, and it now works perfectly in the car. Not quite sure which was causing the problem and may reinstate PIN followed by Show Owners Info to try to isolate.
TP2 Brilliant phone - have been using a TyTn2 for the last 18 months or so which I also thought was exceptional.
desperately seeking BT DUN
Hi all,
I am missing to be able to connect my TP2 via Bluetooth to my Nokia mobiles (N73, 5800) which do not provide PAN or NAP profiles but only DUN.
I need to use the SIM-card in the Nokia for the data-only connection whilst using the SIM-card in TP2 for phone-only connection.
I tried all the tricks in this and other forums. Unfortunately the most promising approach ("New installation file for Bluesoleil drivers! " - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=251995) doesn't let me download the file.
Who got it to work? Who knows how to enable in the TP2?
thank you, Franky
Hey , I have had my desire a few weeks now. I have a problem with it.
Every time i make a phone call or accept a phone call the phone will switch to speaker phone. This happens before i put the phone up to my ear so it is not my face that is turning on speaker phone. If i hold the phone in my hand and dial a number and press call, it goes to speaker phone. If the phone rings and i answer it, it will always go straight to speak phone.
Has anyone had this problem?
My guess: somehow your phone thinks it's charging/docking. Check your connector for dirt.
If nothing else helps you could try this app (actually a widget) in the Market:
Car Mode
With this you can turn the speaker phone mode on/off. Unless your phone has a hardware problem that forces it to be always on...

The connection seems fine to me. I will put a can of compressed air to it tomorrow. Cheers

I tried the app.. Unfortunately it didn't work. I may have to send the phone back to htc.

Don't bother before you flash to stock ROM/do a full wipe (factory reset). If none of those work, it's likely borked
Hi all !
I have been stuck for 2 weeks on this issue.
I have tried all those things :
- Switch off and then switch on the phone
- Remove and reinsert the battery
- Remove and reinsert the SIM Card
- Clean up the USB connector (and there were lots of dusts inside)
- Hard reset to the factory settings
Nothing has solved the problem.
BUT I have found a SOLUTION and also a process to see if you have the same problem as me :
1) Create a shortcut on your home screen and add this shortcut : Shortcut -> Parameter -> Car dock (the icon is a padlock)
2) Click on this shortcut and enable Auto start feature
3) A little car icon will appear in the status bar if there is a short circuit at that moment
4) Take your mini usb cable and plug it into the phone usb connector (without connecting the cable to an electrical outlet nor your PC, we don't want to charge the phone, in fact it doesn't matter but I advice you to not charge it during the process)
5) Now track if the car icon is present, if it is, just move up and down and left and right the cable to check if it's not a hardware short circuit like it is for me (!!). If the car icon appears and disappears during the process while you are moving the cable, then it's a hardware short circuit problem (nothing to do with some kind of software bug as mentioned by some people).
To fix the problem permanently you have 2 choices :
5.1) Take your phone back to the shop
5.2) My solution if you are a lazy man like I am : use the cable to twist correctly the male connector (the one inside the phone) to the correct position. For me the correct position was : lay down your phone on a table, screen upwards, you must twist the connector upwards too. The direction to twist the connector is from the bottom (the table) to the up (the screen) = If you take your phone in front of you and you are looking at the screen, twist the connector towards yourself.
I have fixed the problem this way.
I hope you will be able to fix it too.
Jérémy.
I ve got HDH and I ve instaled 'all call recorder' since then everithing was okay...but after 1-2 weeks this issue was happening speaker always on on recieving call or making a call.so my oppinion uninstal(if you have) call recorder app.it will fix this issue.cheers!
Hey guys, I've got two problems with my unrooted stock HOX , which both are touchscreen related
1. When I push a little harder on the upper right corner of the touchscreen while in lockscreen, the diplay recognizes 3 other inputs on the left side of the screen (all of them about 2cm apart from one another, sometimes there are even more inputs randomly placed) which are slightly shaking but always appear in the same places. When this occurs, the display doesn't recognize any other inputs for about 4-5 seconds, then the 3 faulty inputs disappear and touchscreen works again. Okay, this could be of the harder pressure but the thing is, that when I'm doing the same in my homescreen or somewhere else, it doesn't happen. The problem with this occurrence is, that I often can't unlock my phone immediately and it also appears when I get an incoming call, so I am unable to answer it the green circle won't react on my input. But the fact, that it only occurs in lockscreen makes me wonder if it could be a simple software error and not hardware.
2. Sometimes (usually in combination with problem number 1) a part of the diplay doesn't react to any input whatsoever, but the rest of the screen does. I usually recognized that while typing messages and the area affected is an about 1cm high horizontal strip which is located in the height of the letter A in the portrait keyboard and goes all over to the letter L (I hope you understand what I mean ). I made it visible via a painting programm and it's a perfectly straight area. But when I now turn the display off and on, everything is fine again, so this makes me think (and hope) that this is a software error too.
I tried factory resetting but this wouldn't work out, at least the first problem still occurs (did the reset yesterday, so I can't rule out, that the second one still exists). I don't want to send my HOX in again, because this one is apart from that very nice and has no other faults.
So the main question is: soft or hardware and what could I do against this?
Hope you guys can help!
Hey, I've looked in many places. My Dad has my old UK HTC M8 phone. Prior to giving it to him I updated to the final update 6.12.401.4 (Android 6.0).
We can't seem to pull down the quick menu from the top of the screen.
When the back - home and switch shortcuts are at the top of the screen they don't work.
In settings like Wifi or Bluetooth Settings I cannot toggle it on/off in there.
The strange part is that the top of the screen or those areas of the screen respond to certain actions. Swipes to change page. Pressing to open the clock. Pressing the Search icon in settings.
When using diagnostics there's about 1cm at the top of the screen I can't paint.
I'd just really like some advice as to what I can do about this, and whether there's any option available to resolve this. It hasn't been dropped or fried.
I had the exact same problem 1 week ago - well althoug I was not very comfortable with it, I bought a new screen on Amazon and replaced the old one (additionally replaced battery).
Problem has been resolved now, and screen works just fine. (50$ screen)
I do not know about your device but try entering the recovery and see if the touchscreen works there - if it works, you just have to do a factory reset instead of doing a full screen replacement.
I initially followed the iFixIt guide but I could not remove the headphone jack, therefore a executed a full disassembly (search on youtube, cannot post links yet; video is 19:30 min long and from Fixez.com) - just keep in mind to not throw the protective tape away and use A LOT of adhesive tape / glue when fixing the new screen.
Hope this helps! Have a nice day!
What a difference a day makes. Yesterday my rad new Xtrons Android headunit was working almost* fine and today, after following conventional wisdom and letting my 15yo nephew pimp it, it's in all sorts of...well fckd.
Keen on some help from the collective wisdom. Before anyone helpfully suggests a factory reset... well, that's been done, sooo many times. When your nephew CHANGES the factory settings, it becomes a cycle of hell.
Unit is an Xtrons PB86MTVP. 8" HD, Android 6.0' Octa-Core 64bit 32GB.
Current main problem is that the touch screen inputs are reverse and diagonally opposed. What the hell do I mean by that? If I want to type on the qwerty keyboard or simply tap an icon, I have to use my cunning and hit an area or button diagonal and opposite for it to work. If I can get past this issue then maybe I can move to the next one which is that the unit doesnt power on/off with the ignition.
To be clear, things tried (multiple times in some cases) include
Reset via reset button
reset via software app section
undoing car battery
pulling unit back out and disconnecting
turning on and off again
swearing
So, who can help? got a silver bullet?
TIA
Joe
You could go to settings start right down the line set your home screen back and you should have a setting there for different keyboards also that should get yoy back to normal

thanks for the reply djkeylenux. I've got the right keyboard though, thats not the problem. the problem is the touch input on the screen, no matter which screen I'm on.
Well beside calibrate witch I thing you tried you could also go to developer options take a kook at running process see if there's something running causing the problem,
I think you lost the MCU settings.
Go to settings and then into Factory Settings menu. Password is 126.
Then in keys tab re-calibrate the screen. During calibration you will first see a "+1" in one of the corners. Tap it with your finger. Then in opposite corner "+2" will appear. Tap it too. Then accept and apply ypir settings and the unit will reboot. The touchscreen will work correctly then
In the same screen you can also re-configure the touch buttons and physical buttons of yoir device.
It looks like someone potentially did an MCU upgrade/flash. If there was no backup of the settings then you lost it all. Which also means you might have lost bluetooth connectivity as the bt module type on first page of factory setting might be wrong too. Also canbus and other things might be affected. I recpmmend to check out the discussion threads on MTCD devices here. Someone with the same unit might tell you the right settings.
Hint: If you have trouble tapping the icons with non-calibrated screen. Try connecting a standard USB mouse to any of the USB ports.
