Is there a root for 4.1.1 galaxy s3 t999? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Been trying to find, but can't seem to find an answer for this question. Can someone help? If there is, would greatly appreciate if you cld point me to the right link for rooting. Tks!

4.1.1. Isnt available for the t mobile galaxy s3 yet and the answer is no root cause 4.1.1 hasnt even came out yet so if u have 4.1.1 then u are rooted and on a custom rom

Root process is the same, regardless of firmware version.

If your talking about the tmobile touchwiz 4.1.1 leak... Then yea it can be rooted.. Even cm10 can be rooted too

All custom firmwares have root.........

Nahhh. That's just a rumor started by Apple!

His sig says he has a 9250 (GSM) version. Just revert to stock via the stickies and you'll be good. It's scary out there with all the hackery going on, but we're here to hold your hands... I think:angel:

i tried. and failed. couldnt get the cmd prompt to recognize fastboot.
OK.
Is it rooted?
Does it have any missing apps?
What ROM are you running?
The more details the better. If you are missing apps well that is your problem. Flash a stock ROM and boom. Then update.

[Q] Am I N7105 or N7100?

Hi
I have search the forum for this and google. I am a bit stumped
I have attached 2 images, one a screenshot of my Note 2 device info and the other of the Samsung Galaxy note 2 toolkit 2.3.1 (donation activated).
Basically Im confused on what my phone is. According to the device info its a GT-N7100 Build N7100XXALIJ but the baseband is N7100XXALIH
When I look on the toolkit to chose what my phone model and build are it says that the N7100XXALIJ build is model GT-N7100.
I am assuming that as I am on o2 UK that I am a GSM model and not a LTE but what option should I select.
Im not currently interested in stock roms, I do plan later to but I am worried about my flash counter, I am primarily looking just for root.
I thank you for reading this.
all of the version, baseband, etc... shows begin with "7100"
why would u ever doubt yr phone is 7105?
because in the device info it says model n7100
also I didnt think o2 woukd be lte ?

stikk doesnt help me with finding out which option to select when if I sekect the buukd for my phone its for a n7105 and alk the n7100 are different builds. im new to andriod I just wanted clarificatiion on what may seem a stupid question. were not all born with answers as you
I don't understand where the confusion is coming from. All signs point to you having an n7100. No where in your screenshots is there any indication that it could be an n7105.
That is why people are getting annoyed.
So to answer your question in case you are still unsure, and you have an n7100. Don't flash anything for the n7105

Thank you very much. I did search the toolkit before for XXALIJ but it didn't come back with any results.
I really appreciate that you found that for me. I will be donating for your work in helping me!

Okay. I see what the OP was trying to get at. His N7100 had the LIJ build installed and was trying to use his phone with the Note II toolkit. And when the toolkit asked him what phone and build he was using, the option for an N7100 with LIJ wasn't there. However, the option for an N7105 with LIJ was there.... hense, confusion.
So, for future reference OP, if another device has a build of Android with the same number as yours, that doesn't mean it's the same build as yours or that you actually have that device instead of what you originally thought you had. You do in fact have an N7100 with LIJ. Welcome to the Android community and sorry for the "FAIL". Enjoy your Note II!

How do I update TWRP on my n900t?

Hello. I've been reading threads for hours trying to figure out how to update TWRP on my n900t and getting mixed answers. Right now I have version 2.3.6.1 and I want to update it do to a bad bootlooping experience I had today. Can anyone help a guy out on this fine Thanksgiving day?
I just don't know if I just use Odin to install a newer version over the older one or if theres more to it then that. I usually just go with my gut but after being stuck in a bootloop for most of the day until someone helped me on here (thanks again!) I really want to be sure. Might be a "noob" question but at least I'll be a noob with a working note 3 and that's cool with me! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, can anyone tell me where to find the latest version of twrp for the n900t? Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving...
Thanks..…...

I have the sm-900t , and I've been hard bricked for a month, because of twrp and I followed the site instructions. If you like your phone, unroot and go stock, an enjoy the phone as/is until all unbrick/etc methods are posted and confirmed. You've been warned....
For others who want to know a different method, install Goomanager from play store and you can install the latest version for your device from there.

[Q] Challenge for you smart kids- How to fix my bricked s3?

So I am a huge noob and am not sure what the difference between hard and soft bricked is. But My s3 i747m (rogers) is definetly one of those. Basically I tried to downgrade via odin to android 4.1.2 stock rooted rom since I was having all sorts of problems with 4.3 rooted (knox wouldn't leave superuser alone) And Now I am stuck at the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen. The one where theres a phone connected to a yellow triangle, which is connected to a computer. Is there any way in hell I can fix this? I really need my phone for a work trip tomorrow and have no idea what to do. many thanks to anyone who reads this or can offer a solution. I will happily donate!

[Q] stock 4.3 knox root help

Im running a completely stock sprint gs3, it has 4.3 with knox. I want to root so I can then install a new rom. Probably cyanogen mod...but I'm open to suggestions. I know there can be issues with rooting when knox is on the phone. I have searched and found too many conflicting answers and bricking my phone isnt an option. Any help and guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
