Hi,
i just received my note II yesterday and started to use it normally but after around 2 hours using it the screen got frozen and the device was not responding, tried to press the power bottom but with no luck, removed the battery and tried again it worked, i thought it might be a little hang, so i went to sleep but when i woke up i faced the same issue again but now phone do not want to start up now
i tried everything: starting in recovery mode, removing the SIM card and memory, nothing changed.
note:
- last night i charged the phone with my Note I charger.
- when i woke up i found the LED is lighting green.
- when i press the power key i got a red blinking LED beside the front camera.
- the shop i bought the phone from cut me the SIM card to be USIM.
Appreciate your URGENT support
Hum just use the warranty cause if you didn't root it and it does that chance are that you've got a bad phone...

Wait a sec did I read it rite... why would you charge the note 2 with 1amp used for the note when sammy boy changed the adapter to 2amp and also red blinking indicates low battery hmm have you tried using a another battery like i don't know to a center and try it out

I charge my note 2 with 1amp charger at work. The 2amp is at home.
Never had any problems.

Of course have warranty! When you get a new phone, it comes with a warranty. That's not something that you must buy separately from the shop.

Shouldn't be too hard taking the phone back and getting it replaced assuming you actually bought it from a shop!

Hi everyone !
Yesterday I was using my phone, and after a few minutes without using it, when I tried to wake it up, nothing happened ! The screen stays black all the time, and the charging LED light doesn't turn on too.
I don't understand, nothing happened to the phone (no fall or anything). And now it just seems ... dead !!!
Could someone help me ?
Thanks !
The phone is rooted with S-Off and a custom ROM ...
If you pull out the battery and place it back does it boot then?
Try pulling the battery and then replace it while holding both volume buttons and the power button.

If pulling the battery doesn't do it, it's probably really dead. I also once had a dead Desire, stopped working from one moment to the other. If there's warranty left, send it in.

Yeah clearly I think my phone is dead. I'll try to repair it and sell it.
Anyway, I bought a Galaxy S I9000, I hope it will last a bit longer !
I had two problems with my DHD. But to keep history short, I'll tell only the second:
My seemed bricked. It didn't power on and when I plugged the charger, the LED didn't turn on.
As I work with electronics, I measured the phone's battery and it had 0.0V. So, I took an adjustable power supply and charged the battery for 2 minutes with 3.7V.
I put the battery back in the phone, plugged the charger and the LED turned orange!
Perhaps you could try the same procedure...
And tomorrow I'll try to fix the 1st problem.
My Galaxy Note 2 just started acting very strange recently.
When I try turning it on, it shows a battery with a circle in the middle then turns off and keeps trying to turn back on showing the battery with the circle. I'm assuming this is low battery but its not because just a few minutes earlier it was working and had 85% battery.
I can use Vol+home and get into twrp recovery without a problem and it shows 85% battery but I don't want to reset my phone right now? Does anyone know of a solution?
Also strangely yesterday I was having trouble trying to get it to charge it took a couple of attempts at inserting the charger for it to work.
I have a SGH-I317M running Cleanrom if that matters...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried to turn it on without battery? Just pull it out then connect the mobile to a charger (or PC). If it will open up, then suspect from your battery. Otherwise, might be something different causing this. (Because battery or electricity malfunctions screwing electronic devices and set them to act bizarre, I saw that before)
I just tried that and no response whatsoever are you sure it can turn on even without the battery and just from an outlet?
I had the same problem with my Galaxy S2. I had 3 batteries and have bought 2 more....all 5 do the same thing. USB OTG stopped working at the same time, though it still connects to a PC. Also my yellow triangle disappeared at the same time when the metal connectors seperated from a USB cable and got stuck in the port. I suspect that it fried something.
I tried different ROMs before I gave up last week and bought a GN2 instead.

So my only option is to get it replaced for another one :/
Could this be the sudden death syndrome? What does that look like?
What about the exynos error?

I just tried that, I even gave up and did a factory reset. Same result it keeps trying to turn on and then shows empty batter then turns back off and repeats that.
I also left it in the charge until it reached 100% still same problem.
Do you have a second battery? Try it with a 2nd one. If not working than return and claim warranty.

I don't have a second battery, I'm going to have a little issue if I return it because its rooted with a custom rom... Will they be able to figure that out?

It is advised not to try anything and return it to service center.

Hi

So now i am stucked, and the problem is that i don't live in the us, so i can't go in a service center because there are not service centers in my country. But i noticed something, i tried to use usb jig tag and the phone went on download mode but it keeps flashing the android image and when i remove the usb it riturns in samsung logo, keeps boot loping.
Is there any help, please?

It happened to yesterday and even after trying countless times factory reset/wiped data and flashing Rom I still got stuck in a bootloop. So I went into recovery cwm and formatted system, data, etc and then refreshed the Rom and it worked. However my imei number was then changed to a generic one and I had to restore efs. Lucky I had a backup of it on my pc at all times.
Sent from the rabbit hole.
I bought the phone on Craigslist, knowing the button was broken. The phone itself was on, and worked fine while on CM10.1 (When you lose power, if you plug in to USB it will turn on automatically). Well I wanted to go back to stock so I did via recovery, and then afterwards realized that on stock, you have to press power button to turn the phone on.
So, I ordered a replacement button circuit, which cost about $4 shipped. Came in to day, popped it on, and... still not working.
Like I said I know the phone works, and this part SHOULD work since I just ordered it... When I plug the phone in it goes to the battery charging screen (Battery should be just about full anyway) and the power button does not get it to boot.
Might want to double check that ribbon cable that you had to plug in. When you replaced it! That's the only possible problem I could see it could be. Sometimes we rush to do things not realizing, we actually made a mistake!

The ribbon cable is a snap-in type, and I double checked/un/replugged it twice...
The only thing it could be is the circuit on the board I guess, but the rest of the board is fine...

I don't suppose there is any other crazy way I can at least turn the phone on? Any way at all? That doesn't require power button? I know with CM 10.1 you just have to plug it in with battery out and it starts boot up automatically but such is not the case with stock Samsung.

I just figured... I could use a jig to kick it in to ODIN mode then just cancel ODIN mode and it would boot in to OS.
I guess if nothing else I can sell it on Craigslist as such - power button doesn't work, as-is..
Sorry. ...
Bad luck for sure. ..
But a new power button assembly should do the trick. .
They are of course different between models. ..and you may have been sold the wrong one ..
Likely a pin out connection problem. ..

Send it back then, your device is dead. Considering you just got it, I'm surprised you had one with the faulty chip. Must have been old stock.
I'd take it back, in fact I'd walk into the shop I got it from and walk out with a new one.
However if I were say on holiday, I'd also try removing the battery and leaving it out for 24+ hours occasionally holding the power button down. But that's an old trick for old phones.
