[Q] I'm stuck. Have tried everything. - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi all,
I'm on Rogers GS3 (i747m)
I've searched and searched. I cannot find a fix to my problem.
Last night I downloaded the AOKP 10.16 update and was trying to flash it above my 10.03.
It gave me an error while flashing, but then the phone would boot and stay stuck at the glowing samsung logo.
I downloaded the stock rogers rom and tried to flash it using oding. Same thing would happen, glowing samsung logo.
I was finally able to flash a recovery image but now it won't recognize my internal sd and keeps telling me that there was an error mounting external sd. I can't format /data because of that.
When I try to flash another recovery through Odin 3.07, it keeps telling me "Odin downloader has stopper working." With Odin 1.85, it says "Odin communicator has stopped working."
I'm about to give up. Will keep searching. But I'm losing hope at this point.

have you tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1828152

Try this toolkit. It may help you. You can also try to flash twrp recovery. And do you have a nandroid backup?

any solution
hello, has anyone found a solution to this "odin has stopped working"? i have a gnex that has bad "volume down" and "power" buttons. so if my phone dies i usually charge it and then flash a recovery via odin to boot it back up without having to redo my whole phone. now everytime i try to use any version odin, the program crashes. i've seen a lot of people with this issue lately but since i do not have working buttons, odin is the only way i can boot my phone. please help ps. i know i don not have a s3 but i am going through the same issue and i need the odin to work so i can fix a s3 as well.

Whenever I get stuck at the Samsung logo boot animation, I reboot into recovery, factory reset, reboot into download mode and flash again with Odin. Works every time.

[Help] Hanging on Samsung Logo upon Boot

Hey Guys,
I was on a custom rom before but decided to go back to stock. So I decided to follow another post under this forum about using Samsung Kies to get me back to stock, According to KIES everything went well but now when my phone tries to boot, it just hangs on the samsung Logo.
Im waiting on hotfile to download my stock Rogers Image and use Odin to flash the image but is there anything else I can do? am I on the right track?
or did I just brick my phone some how.
Thanks

How long phone hangs on samsung logo, did you try to restart in stock 3e recovery and clear data, did you try to remove sim and sd cards and try to restore again ???
Hey, Im doing the steps you stated in the other thread, I installed the troubleshooting connection driver, removed SD Card and Sim card and now its doing its recovery through Kies.
When I did this last, it was about 5 minutes it was hanging for but I will see how long it hangs for now.
and no didnt think of restarting in stock recovery and clear data, will try that too.
guess I should of tried those too. sorry just panicked I might of messed up my phone lol
omg thank you so much!!!! i had to go to stock recovery and clear data and then it looks like its fine now. Im at the welcome page.

[Q] Can boot into Recovery, can't flash rom

So my note 2 had been working very well, but just the other night it turned off and then was stuck at the Samsung logo screen. I attempted to boot into recovery, but it would freeze at the TWRP logo screen. I decided to Odin a new recovery and put the latest version of TWRP on there. I can now boot into recovery, but it asks for a password. I assumed I had just used a bad version, so I tried several others which resulted in the same outcome. Pressing cancel lets me get into TWRP, and it seems as though I can browse files, but trying to perform any other action gives an error message saying that TWRP cannot find the partition for data, system, and a few others.
Is the phone dead? Or is there something I can do to bring it back to life?

Try to flash a stock rom with Odin.
If this does not work you are facing a compareable problem to mine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2440687 .
Maybe you find a way to get it work in this link.
Sounds like SDS

I really hope it isn't SDS. I can odin a recovery onto the phone, but so far other odin-able images just fail. I'm downloading a pure factory image currently and will check to see how that works,

n7100 stuck on boot screen, nothing seems to help!

So my phone was working perfectly fine until two days ago it rebooted itself with no apparent reason. After that the phone stayed stuck on boot screen (Where it says "samsung galaxy note II GT-N7100).
I can't get into recovery mode, but can get into download mode.
I tried about anything to fix this but nothing seemed to help and I'm starting to lose hope. I really wish you guys can help me fix this, because I'm having trouble facing the fact that my phone can just die on me and i have nothing to do about it (I have no insurance on the device).
Thanks in advance to anyone who wishes to help!

This just happened to my GT-N7105 too....
....for the second time! lol.
First time i solved it by using Odin, flashed CWM then checking to see if CWM could mount my SDcard, i loaded up a ROM in it and reboot into CWM and installed the rom from there. SIMPLE!
This time, my CWM works but it can't mount my SD-CARD... :crying:
So, i'm just gonna flash in another rom with Ordin and see what happens! lol.
If you need help using Odin, try this guide:
galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-note-2-tutorials/how-to-unrootunbrick-galaxy-note-2-with-stock-firmware/
Granted it's a bit old, but it might still work (im using this guide too!) Only difference is that you'll have to flash in CWM instead of a ROM and we should use latest ordin 3.7.
So good luck to you and me! :good::laugh:

have you check all the setting in your Odin is it correct?

yeah, this just happened to my moms note 2,
we were outside and she was using her phone normally until it suddenly started to reboot repeatedly.
i knew it's not her firmware nor her kernel cause they're all the official ones,
luckily my father has a note 1 which uses a battery of the same size, so i tried it's battery and it worked, so i put back the original battery and wala,
worked like a charm
have you tried to install custom recovery? CWM or TWRP or Philz and then install a custom rom from the recovery?
If someone can't go to download mode there is a micro usb callesd usb jig(you find it on ebay) that helps you go into download mode.
Oh my God!!! I inserted the spare battery that i had into my "bricked" note 2... And it got a life.. I can't understand the logic behind this.. Its a topic worth research!!
BTW, thanks to rZZ87

[Q] I've messed up terribly. Galaxy S4 Odin firmware flash went wrong.

Okay, so I rooted my phone back in December and had no problems at all with firmware 4.3. I had this app called "Clean Master" I think, so it analyzed my device to clean up "unnecessary" files and such. I go ahead a clean whatever it had "cleaned" and then I noticed that when I went into settings that it started freezing for about a minute or so and had to force close the settings. It also started to restart randomly at times and it got to the point where I just got fed up and looked to the internet. I decided to use Odin to Unroot my phone because at the time that's what I thought was causing the problem. This is where I think (I know) I screwed up. Instead of flashing the stock firmware for the T-Mobile Galaxy s4 I flashed this "GT-I9500-XSE-I9500XXUAME1-ROOTED_MAY4". I think I used this file for rooting but I downloaded so many files to get the rooting to work that I don't remember. This file is neither an .md5 file nor a .tar file. I don't know what I was thinking and I regret the decision. I started the transfer of whatever file that was to my phone using the Custom ROM download screen, and it only took about 4 seconds and said it passed. It reboots but ever since has been stuck on the Samsung Galaxy s4 screen. Recently it now says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. I've tried connecting the device via Kies but IT DOES NOT CONNECT. I'm beginning to think that I've just completely destroyed the phone and will be needing to by another. Any help would be much appreciated. I've tried everything I know. I've wiped the cache, wiped the data and factory reset the phone, but it won't reboot correctly. I'm stuck people. What can I do?

#1: Find the Odin flash rom/firmware for your phone and load Odin with it.
#2: Put the phone into download mode.
#3: plug usb cable into phone and computer.
#4: after you see [COM:xx] light up click START in Odin.
#5: when it gets done flashing let it reboot, have patience.
Forget all about these cleaning utilities, you can do all the cleaning
you want once the phone works properly and once it's rooted.
Only use CF-Autoroot to root the phone for best and trouble free results.
Here is the direct download link for CF-AutoRoot:
http://download.chainfire.eu/328/CF-Root1/CF-Auto-Root-jfltetmo-jfltetmo-sghm919.zip?retrieve_file=1
Good luck!
Misterjunky gives good instruction, if you can get into download mode your phone can be resurrected. In my early days of flashing, I thought I had created an expensive paperweight but the guys on here saved me. One thing, you may have to do a factory reset in stock recovery to get your phone to boot. Happened to me a couple of times.
Good luck.
Flash until you brick!
Ok, so I'm pretty sure I have the right Odin flash firmware, but it all goes really fast and after "aboot.mdn" it stops and it says FAIL. Ok so I tried the md5 file that came with the download and it went through fine, but It's still stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S4 screen. Do I need to restart the system now and try the firmware file?

Flash this TWRP custom recovery in ODIN then go into recovery mode and
do a full wipe, data, system, dalvik cache, cache and do a Factory Reset.
Here is the direct download link for the Odin flash TWRP recovery:
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/jfltetmo/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.1-jfltetmo.tar
Once that's done go into download mode and flash the
stock official M919 4.2.2 firmware (tar/md5) file.
Good luck!
SO I went into recovery mode, but it stays on the "teamwin" screen.
Pull the battery out of the phone, then put it back in and try to boot into recovery again. Sometimes, the recovery will hang like you described. You might have to repeat this process again and again until you get into the main menu of the recovery.
Okay, so I'm sure I'm doing everything right. I flashed the twrp recovery it restarts my phone. I held the power key, home key, and up key on the phone and released the power button when it shows the text on the top left showing that it is going to start recovery. It goes to a "teamwin" screen but freezes there. Truthfully, do you think I will be able to recover my phone, or will I need to send it in to samsung and pay 70 dollars plus the damages?

Are you sure some other people have tried this file on a t-mobile variant? because GT-I9500 is indeed for a galaxy s4, but it's for the octa chipset, which is completely different from the t-mobile variant of the s4 since the t-mobile version is similar to GT-I9505, which is a quad core instead of a octa core
Just to give you guys a heads-up, I fixed my phone, but not by the ways you guys suggested. Not that I'm ungrateful, I am very happy you all took the time to help me out and I appreciate the suggestions. Thank you so much.
Oh and I fixed it by going into kies, clicking on "tools", "firmware upgrade and initialisation", and proceeded to follow the steps and type in my Model name and Serial Number.Fortunately they had the ability for my phone to return it COMPLETELY stock.
Thank you!

Bootloops After ODIN back to Stock Firmware

Hi guys,
I have the t-mobile s6 edge
After messing around with my device last night and this morning, I decided to go back to stock for a bit.
I have ODIN 3.10.6. I went into download mode on my phone. extracted the stock firmware from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/sm-g925f-s6-firmware-thread-t3078841
loaded the "G925TUVU1AOCG_G925TTMB1AOCG_G925TUVU1AOCG_HOME.tar.md5" file into the ap box for odin
connected my phone to computer, odin recognized it. hit start. ran successfully. rebooted, android guy came up briefly and said installing system update, then it changed to "Erasing..." then it rebooted again
now it's just bootloops forever after the tmobile screen. I can boot to recovery and it says installing system update each time I boot to recovery, but selecting reboot system there shows a no command error. force the phone to power off... power on again to bootloops.
tried to go into download mode again and reflash everything through odin, same issue!
I started last night by rooting using chainfire, then installing TWRPv2, then I flashed the 5.1.1 ROM available from @eousphoros (sorry for the tag, just thought you might want to be apprised of the issues in getting back to stock after using the 5.1.1 ROM).
with 5.1.1 loaded, smart switch didn't recognize the phone for a reset so I decided to go with the ODIN method and now i'm in bootloop city
any help would be greatly appreciated

In the future you should make a full backup before installing a rom

Hi guys,
I have the t-mobile s6 edge

AHH!! Sorry to have made this post... here's what I did to get it actually boot:
reflahed the stock firmware through odin again, tried to reboot, it failed, obviously. rebooted to recovery, factory reset in recovery, power down option in recovery, then turned the phone on again and it magically worked!
hopefully this post will help someone who encountered the same issue

I had the same excat same thing happen when flashing this via Odin. I didnt need to Odin stock twice though . I just booted stock recovery and did a factory reset. After that I went ahead an powered down and rebooted . All good now
How long did you have to wait in the stock recovery to get past the "installing system update" screen? Mine just sits there and I'm unable to view other options in recovery.
EDIT for noobs (like me): wait 30 seconds on the "installing system update" screen.
I'm still stuck in boot loop
Im in the same exact situation , but I'm still stuck in boot loop. I followed your restore instructions and nothing. Please help.

Looks here, may apply to your case. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=63226466
Pp.
I initially used odin to flash OI1 update, after a rom I was using caused problems and I got bootloop. It changed bootloader value to b:3 and I'm unable to downgrade now so I used smart switch which didn't recognize device so used emergency recovery and still bootloop. I have factory reset and wipe cache multiple times along with adb side load and individual flashes of bootloader, modem, kernel, flashed custom kernel and twrp to access fix permissions and to mount partitions with advanced wipe etc and still wont boot past logo. Also during one fix attempt phone said can't mount system.. Idk I'm not understanding where the problem is .everything says successful but I'm still in bootloop. Please help. I've spent hours everyday for the past week searching & trying different things that seem might help so open to any suggestions.
Problem with Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9195
Hi everyone
I'm new to the whole ROM flashing and using Odin. I had a bootloop problem and recovery mode showed all the options but has a green android man laying down with red icon above him and No Command below the android man. Tried the factory wipe and cache wipe but it gives some red writing with the word failed in the coding and the word error under the android man. Tried to flash a stock ROM from sammobile using Odin. Odin gives a pass but the same problems persist. Can someone please help?
any solution, i have this problem to? only bootloop, nothing else. Updatet bootloader with 4up
