Hello Xoomers,
Here, I am going to provide you with MODs for XOOM sounds (alarms, notifications, ringtones, ui) taken from different devices I own/had access to.
Yeah, I now own Galaxy NOTE II
Pre-requisites [for any ROM / any XOOM device type]:
Unlocked bootloader
Rooted Device (XOOM)
Custome Recovery (TWRP Recommended)
Important Requirement:
You must have free space in System ROM (at least 10mb)
Needed System ROM space may vary from Mod to another from the download section depending on the size. For example, for SGS3 MOD, around 10 mb are needed while for Nexus7 Mod, only 2 MB are needed.
How to free up space in System ROM?
Since default system ROM free space of the XOOM is very low,
Some Apps to convert from system app to user app thru titanium backup pro are: (long press on a system app and choose convert to user app)
Black hole
Bubbles
Calculator
Calendar
com.android.wallpaper.holospiral
Email
Exchange services
Magic smoke wallpapers
Music virtualization wallpapers,
MusicFX
Phase beam
News and weather
Street view.
File manager, the default one that comes with this ROM.
Etc... if you know what else to convert.
Important note, do not convert "contacts" to user app due to permission consistency needed by mms.apk as system app.
This way, you will gain some space in your System ROM.

Hey mate, thx for the nice words, I am speechless and also grateful
I am nothing compared to others man , just building myself up, lol.
Return to stock zip is the Xoom mod, it includes the Xoom stock sounds and videos But this mod also includes the bootanimiation I snapedshot.
If you want to keep your current boot animation, just delete the bootanimation.zip from the mod and flash it. That way, it will not be overwritten by the boot animation in zip
I've thanked you so much today that they're telling me that (I'm) limited to 8 thanks per day!!! Don't worry, I'll come back tomorrow and thank you!!
Appreciate the upload...

TouchWiz Stock Clock app
New Holo Themed version from Gyebro
To anyone interested, Gyebro has put together a Holo themed version of my clock package, he has put a lot of work into it too, there are a lot of visual fixes and it looks and runs great on 4.1.2.
Check out his thread
[PORTED][APP][HOLO] Holo themed TouchWiz ClockPackage
And a bunch of screenshots here
If you like it, head over to his page and hit thanks
***New Update 22th September 2012***
This is a ported touchwiz clock from the Samsung stock roms. It is tested and working on ICS roms and most Jelly Bean roms. This app has been tested in 240dpi (as it is designed for) and 210dpi, tested in English and French. Any graphical problems you might experience are a direct result to changing the dpi, I will not be accepting requests to change the visual layout of the app because as it is it is completely stock and working perfectly for 240dpi (the intended dpi for this phone)
This app is fully functional except for;
1. the map for the world clock (the world clock is working thought)
2. the popup notification notification that tells you your alarm will go off in X hours and X minutes
3. the color of what you have selected in the snooze options (you will be able to see what is selected in the main alarm screen
apart from these minor details everything else is working. Please do not post to tell me about these things, I already know.
I have added languages from all app versions that I could get my hands on. All the usual languages are included, I have recently included Hebrew and Arabic? as requested. If your language is not supported please tell me, and if possible send me a clockpackage.apk from a stock rom with your language (one that you are sure your language is included in)
This clock app is SGS3 themed where possible. See screenshots below.
I have also included a v2.4 +extras zip, this includes the Samsung digital clock widget (SGS3 themed), the Samsung Accuweather widget with transparent background, the Samsung memo app, and ThinkFree Office app.
If you dont want these extras please use the other zip - v2.4
If I have helped you at all, please hit the thanks button
or feel free to buy me a beer / donate
Please test it before you use it!
I will not be held responsible for people who wake up late and lose their job, or miss a flight, etc.
I wont be held responsible for people bricking their phones by doing dumb stuff, just follow the instructions.
Instructions
Copy to zip file to phone SDcard, reboot into CWM and flash, reboot, enjoy
If you are using a previous version of this clock apk please --> backup and delete the old file (HybridTWClock******.apk) from your /system/app folder and then install the new zip in CWM
If you are using CM9 or CM10 or a rom that already has a clock app (deskclock.apk), please note that you do not need to delete the existing clock app for this one to work, - but if you do delete the existing deskclock.apk this one will still work as a stand alone clock

Cheers, will give it a whirl to see if it works on newer M5 AOKP builds
EDIT: My god, i love you, it works perfect on Hydra 1.0.3 based on AOKP M5.... this was exactly what i was looking for
Nice one It works. But is it possible to fix the popup indicator?
I love ics but missed the TW clock/alarm/timer - thank you.
Just letting you know that so far it has worked well with Task's AOKP ROM on my Galaxy S2
Fantastic made. Working like a charm on Aokp Roms!!
But could you do it. Also multi dpi usable? Would be soooooooo nice!

Works like a charm on Stock ROM too!!
This saved my day cuz it fixed the "accidentally-restored-from-GB" Issue (FC on setting new alarm).
Bonus, it's themed like i like it ;-) Great job!!
Swyped from my GT-I9100 using XDA App.
Well, it's working on ParanoidAndroid too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580070
A big thanks for this one!
but one minute i thought it was the original clock (alarm) from the galaxy SII (latest ics stock roms) but it isn't
but hey, it's better than the aopk version....
maybe you can also find a way to do the very same with the galaxy sII clock? that's realy a beauty
Edit: I saw your other tread about this, and i hope you will manage to port the touchwizz calendar also! Great job!
Thanks, this seems to work well on my Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) running CM9.
I run my Note in tablet mode so the usual DPI incompatibility as with most TW apps is there. But I like the functionality so don't care to much about these layout distortions.

There is a thread for TouchWiz Calculator & Clock Apps for Galaxy Nexus from XanSama here
I think the screen layout should be the right size for galaxy note, and from what I've read its fully functional too, I'm not sure about the calendar though

Would this allow svoice to properly set alarms or do we need an entire framework?

This alarm is working with Svoice on my galaxy SII (paranoiddroid)
yes, it is working for me too with s-voice on the i9000 with this clock app
Fantastic! That is the only thing svoice wasn't doing for me....
Do I need to delete the old clock.apk from /system/app first?
EDIT: Clearly not Can I if I want to on CM9 without causing problems though?
Also - any easy way for me to resize this for 182dpi?
Yeah, you don't need to delete the old deskclock app, but you can if you want to, it will still work.
Changing the size... I'm not so sure, but there is another thread here with the screen size setup for the galaxy nexus / galaxy note. I'm not sure what that will give you if you change your dpi, it might work out though.
Just to clarify, I do still get a force close when setting the alarm with s-voice, but the alarm does still sound at the right time.

Ah I had this setting the alarm before but force closing. I was hoping that this would actually open - guess we need the framework for that then.
Thanks dude worked like a charm. Only slight cropping problem at the bottom? Glad someone attempted this port. Looking forward to anything else up develop.

In /system/app I don't have clock.apk, but deskclock.apk. Even if I delete/rename the deskclock.apk or not, installing clockpckage zip in cwm doesn't do any difference, the new clock is not there.
LE: I installed this app the hard way. I installed system\app\HybridTWClockBastardv2.1_signed.apk, then I copied I copied alams and ui tones to \system\media\audio\.
OK, so I am planning to release some icons for the Nexus (or any real 720p device) but I am stuck.
I used to theme for the iPhone jailbreak community, and I had been commented on how good my work is so Photoshop is a breeze for me, I just have a few questions..
1- What is the default length and width of an app, especially since it is over 300ppi? I need a base to start icons on.
2- for launchers, is there a specific way to package up all the icons and make it change the drawer icons too?
3- how can I test my icons on my own device without permanently changing the icon? (I am ROOTED)
4- If there is a tutorial on android theming, please feel free to link me?
Theming for iPhone and winterboard was easy. Package it up, name the folder, select it and it changes the icons. I am wondering if there is also a similar way.
Thanks for your time, please leave your comments on where I can get started.

Take a look at this:
http://developers.janrain.com/docum.../introduction-to-android-theme-customization/
Beamed via Nexus 4
I don't think that's what you're after since you don't seem to be looking for themeing instructions for your own app but rather for the OS. You should take a look at the Theme chooser in cyanogenmod and maybe a tutorial on how to do those themes. Otherwise you will find many aren't cross compatible between launchers so find the launcher you like the best and develop for that one specifically.

The first thing you're going to need to do is download the android SDK and apktool. You'll need an XML editor as well. Theming for android is a lot more complicated than it is for the iPhone

I'm in the same boat coming from 4 years of iPhone themeing.
I used MyHome launcher when i had a gs3 for 4 days and it was pretty easy to theme. Hoping to get MiUi rom for nexus 4 when my phone geTs delivered tomorrow.
Well if you want to mod some apps, you'll need: (not to make it from 0)
- APKtool (to "extract&build" apps) its on xda...
- Some basic knowledge, as:
· Be careful with those images with an extension like ".9.png" , you'll have to download sdk and its a lil more complex .... (sometime its ok, but others it looks weird :silly: , so you can try but always have a copy of original ) :victory:
· If you want just make icons start doin at 96x96 (xhdpi default) :highfive:
So what's the trick yo get the action name for apps to out in the XML? I found a web page that you an search and I added hulu plus icon to a theme (apktool to unpack, nodded files, repacked and then resigned with a script I found for Mac) but how do I get the right string to change the camera app that's built into cm10 ROM and none of the themes I've downloaded have changed.

Features
HD Icons
Over 350 Custom Hi DefIcons
Icon mask support to theme all icons in your drawer
XXHDPI Tablet support
Nova/Nova Prime/Apex/Apex Pro/ADW/ADW ex/Holo HD/ SS Launcher / Action Launcher / Next launcher
Multiple App-drawer icons with ’iconpicker’ support (Nova and Apex only)
These are collections of 450+ custom HD icons with support up to xxhdpi resolution (so should look great on tablets too). The aim of these packs is very much Quality over Quantity, I noticed that a lot of app icons have really poor resolution which looks bad on modern screens and set about creating an icon pack to improve this. I have used higher res images for all these icons and also tweaked the contrast, brightness and shadowing before creating the desired effect on the icon. These icons look vivid on amoled screens and really pop out!
The APK's all support icon masking so will theme ALL of your icons in your App Drawer, it also uses an iconshader xml which will modify the contrast and brightness of the masked icons - the end result is a masked icon which is not far off the quality of the fully customised icons.
Requests
I will happily take requests for icons to receive the ‘HD’ treatment with the aim being for these packs to grow over time in number and quality.
If you wish to request an icon or ten you are welcome to email me:

Or just post in this thread.....
Please include the app’s name and also an activity name if possible. ‘QuickShortcutMaker’ is a great free app on the play store to get this
Any problems you have can also be discussed via email or here and I will be glad to help you in any way I can...

Hi, I'm the designer of this icon pack. I'm not a millionaire app dev looking to make loads of cash, I want to use my skills to make something that people enjoy and improve the look of your phones. The design of this took roughly 30 hours of work and selling it on the playstore allows me some sort of return on the time I have invested, the money I make from my apps are used to buy a few extra things for my 18 month old son as I don't have a lot of money to buy him anything like as much stuff as I would like to.....
I think the price I have set is not very much compared to other packs and would it really harm you to spend that amount ??
√ Please don't add mirror in my releases,Thanks. - So you don't want people taking the credit for YOUR release ??!!
√ Support developers. - How ??!! - your offering MY app for free ??!!
√ Enjoy mobilism. - Enjoy being a thieving bas***d Scumf**k
√ Press Thanks Button if you like my Releases. - Thanks for denying my son a candy bar today.......
I understand the urge to rip off million dollar companies I really do, but please download my app from the playstore if you like it....
Thanks.

CSC FEATURE EDITS!
CSC Features are cool because you can enable little features that are for whatever reason turned off by Samsung. Here are some that I have found across the internet.
A.) PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE MESSING WITH THIS!! Either make a backup in recovery, or make a backup of your feature.xml by copying the original/unedited to your SD Card.
B.) Download a root browser and grant it root permission.
C.) Go to system/csc/feature.xml
D.) Find the lines that you wanna change, and change it to what I have underlined/bolded. OR some are not in there and you can just add those lines right in (lines that are not in that can just be added will be highlighted in blue). Make sure the new lines are between <FeatureSet> </FeatureSet> . Now it's time for the features that can be enabled:
1. Enable call duration in call log: <CscFeature_Contact_DisableCallDuration>false</ (thanks to @eyecon82)
2. Enable camera shutter sound on/off menu: <CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
3. Add an exit menu to the stock web browser: <CscFeature_Web_AddOptionToTerminate>true</CscFeature_Web_AddOptionToTerminate>
4. Enable infinite scrolling in home screen and app drawer: <CscFeature_Launcher_DisablePageRotation>false</CscFeature_Launcher_DisablePageRotation>
5. Enable scheduled message: <CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMessage>true</CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMessage>
<CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMsgBox>true</CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMsgBox>
6. Enable prompt to select recording mode: <CscFeature_Camera_CamcorderEnablePromptPopupToSelectRecMode></CscFeature_Camera_CamcorderEnablePromptPopupToSelectRecMode>
7. Enables Rotation control icon in Gallery: <CscFeature_Gallery_AddAutoRotationIcon>true</CscFeature_Gallery_AddAutoRotationIcon>
8. Stock browser requests Desktop site by default: <CscFeature_Web_EnableDesktopSiteAsDefault>true</CscFeature_Web_EnableDesktopSiteAsDefault>
E.) When done make sure you save the changes, and reboot.
F.) ENJOY!
Let me know of any requests of what to add/take out and also if you have any problems I will try and help you out!

Hi OP
Please remove my work from your AROMA package.
It says clearly in my OP
Important:
ROM Cooks: Please feel free to include these in your ROM. Just shoot me a mention somewhere.
Others: Please do not create mirrors or repackage these apks (unless you modify them yourself and work on them). Direct people here instead.

Thank you for the consideration and credit, but I'd prefer to keep my work in a single thread If you create a full ROM package yourself then feel free to include it then

@Joe0113 Hey, any good recommendations for a way to increase Media Volume thru a headset? Got a pretty nice pair of Sony MDC-10r headphones but I'd like things to be a big louder.
Soundalive and Music FX doesn't seem to do it for me. Unless I'm doing something wrong
Any thoughts, id appreciate it very much.

Hello all,
As with pretty much all my devices I've always modded them from the box, only device I didn't was my corporate iPhone (although not through lack of trying : ) )
Anyway, i thought i'd make a thread showcasing my Rom set up and the mods i've chosen, no matter what device I have I always grab most of these mods if available and try to perfect the look I've had for years gone by, as I'm sure many of you do also.
Please feel free to share your home screen and the mods you have installed.
Here is my little lot, video below.
ROM
Venom Rom (Currently version 3.5.0 @ j to the 4n
Mods and Launcher
Launcher - Pixel Launcher with Dark elements and transparency, flashable zip - Link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5GXDOETwYGySm5vRjBDcGtjZkk
Xposed Mods
Screen off animation - Several choices, also allows screen on animations
XUI MOD - Complete control of all animations - One in video is wave left.
Unique controls - This is essentially Halo from Paranoid android, superb floating heads up display and floating window.
Flat Style Bar Indicators - Allows total control of the status bar and positions as well as a tonne of icons, animations and rules.
Greenify - I think we all know this one
The theme i'm using is directly out of Venom's theme pot, @Basil3 it's very very well done and little to nothing isn't themed, has a huge choice of colours.
For xposed installation I have another thread here guiding you through.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/walkthrough-screen-off-animation-using-t3384651
Here is the video to the venom rom with all the mods i've picked https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgfD0p8RXQI&t=2s
*Note, lastly, these are not my mods, nor my Rom, they're simply the ones I choose to use for my daily driver, I can't thank them enough for delivering these so big thanks to them, they also play nice with the battery and overall, with 2 emails syncing and wifi running I only lose 1 - 2% overnight.
Any questions let me know and i'll do what I can to answer

The one that I've listed is yes. Reason being is because it's themed.

You can obtain the pixel launcher, for it to work right with "Ok google" etc and google now with cards, the zip is best, i got it from Team Black out.
