Evening all,
Bit of a odd request here, but I figured I'd ask and see what I could come up with. I'm required to write a paper on 4G versus 3G speeds, prices, etc, etc...however I have a problem. I don't actually have a 4G phone, and thus can not run the tests myself. If people would be interested in helping a guy out, I would appreciate the following statistics.
1. Speedtest Screenshots 3G/4G
2. Timed downloads for a identical APK from the PlayStore on both 3G and 4G. (I don't care which just so long as it is download both times and uninstall between the to obviously.
3. A timed download for a external file outside of the play store on both 4G and 3G.
Thanks will be handed out for results, and it would be much appreciated!

I've been testing my Speeds with the Speedtest.net App found in Android Market.. I've noticed lately my Ping has been between 97-1500ms.. It's never been like that. I'm not sure if I should be worried? I live near Boston so I do use the Boston server to ping. Another thing is if i go to the speedtest.net website on my phone and do the speedtest there it says I'm in Wilson, NC? not sure about this but I've attached a photo of the proof.. I've done a lot of tests.. Odd thing is my speed is great. On some of the tests It does show that I'm getting 8-10Mbps. (The list is so long you cant see it)

It does the same thing with me, I have traced it to my APN settings, depending which one I choose I will either get high ping and great speeds or low ping and decent speeds.
Yeah I don't get it. At all.

Had my galaxy nexus for a couple weeks now and the wifi (download speeds notably) has just never been strong for me at all, even when sitting right next to my router.
I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus LTE 4.0.2 unrooted.
I get good 4g speeds, but my wifi speeds are just terrible.
Here's what I get on 4g:

This is what I get right next to my router:
My upload speeds aren't bad but the download is just terrible. And its weird because the ping is so low.
My wifi isn't great in general. It used to be faster but here's what I get on my computer now:
I know there's a radio fix for GSM phones with xxkk6 but I don't think there's one for LTE. Is anyone else having this issue with download speeds or know a fix? Thanks in advance.
hello everyone,
So i still had an htc touch pro 2 until a couple days ago and they upgraded me to an evo 4g through their replacement program. Anyway this phone is a refurb and I noticed something strange.
Here are my initial download speeds at home when I first got the phone.

Ok so then i did a power cycle and the speeds dropped the following
So my question is whether I have a bad radio, or if it is something that is wrong with every phone.
In order to fix the issue I have to update the prl then do a update profile twice. then go into the ##3282# and do the profile update from there so that it goes through the hands free activation.
I appreciate your help
Thank you
**I searched all around but it seems most people just experience the issue all the time and don't get it fixed until the device is replaced**

When I open the llama app, the recent tab does not show any cell sites. It only shows no signal/unknown or :-1:-1:-1 which I think is just the default for when setting up a new phone. I even clicked on the areas tab for home or work and start learning area for 4 hours or so. The only time when I can actually catch cell sites is when I turn off lte and only use 3g data. I'm not sure why the LTE data mode would not be able to capture any cell sites. My phone is rooted with stump root and I have made a few tweaks with G3 Tweaksbox. Other than that not sure why the sites aren't captured.
Can someone else test this on their Sprint LG G3?
Thank you
I can't get Llama to learn any of my locations.
Hi!
I've had Zooper since my Galaxy S2. So it's been a while and I'm about up on my Nexus5 so the better half of four years has gone by.
Sad to say Zooper still cannot tell me what my cell signal strength is. The ASU is always 99 and dBm is always 85. It never change changes. It's odd to think I have app called Network Signal Pro that gets this information at the ready. I've attached a screenshot of a simple Zooper widget and a widget from the fore mentioned app.

Hate to kick the dust up but it's not fair that the GSM network devices people have get this info and those on a CDMA network do not. I paid for my app way back when and it'd be nice to see this work. I really can't create anything that has a cell signal in it for myself or anybody since I can't tell if it works.
I hope somebody has some insight into this matter!
Thanks for lending me your ear!
