hello everyone,
So i still had an htc touch pro 2 until a couple days ago and they upgraded me to an evo 4g through their replacement program. Anyway this phone is a refurb and I noticed something strange.
Here are my initial download speeds at home when I first got the phone.

Ok so then i did a power cycle and the speeds dropped the following
So my question is whether I have a bad radio, or if it is something that is wrong with every phone.
In order to fix the issue I have to update the prl then do a update profile twice. then go into the ##3282# and do the profile update from there so that it goes through the hands free activation.
I appreciate your help
Thank you
**I searched all around but it seems most people just experience the issue all the time and don't get it fixed until the device is replaced**

My rooting went horribly wrong.
I admit, I rushed it, was sleep deprived, and inpatient.
Right now, my phone looks very much like stock BUT
My issue is: I have no provider set on my phone. In other words, its as if my phone is unable to connect to Sprint's network.

When I try to update the PRL from system updates, below is the result...
I used some combination of the following files:
SuperOneClickv2.1.1-ShortFuse
S2Root_1.4.3_Release
Litening_Rom_v6-1.rar
acs-eb30-clockwork-epic-touch-4g-sep-20-4-00-pm.tar
EG30-Stock-OdexV2.zip
Stock-EG30.tar
At this point, what would be the fastest way to get my phone into a state in which it is once again recognized by Sprint
GET OUT. THERE'S AN EPIC TOUCH FORUM. Lol sorry but this is like the 11,00th and 2 post I've seen about the epic touch...you have your own forums
sent from my miui-ified epic
thread posted on correct forum, sorry about that and thank you for pointing this out to me.
I've been having some pretty crappy battery life. I don't know if this is due to the fact that it's on LTE/CDMA or what. I've been using Android since April 2009 when I got my Droid Incredible. I generally keep most settings on and can get a full days worth of use.
WiFi - usually always on, unless it nags me about new networks. I always keep the setting to 'always on' too.
GPS - always set on.
Email - 15 minute sync time.
Anyway, you get the picture. I'm gonna try setting it CDMA only to see if that helps.
Post your thoughts, is this a 4G issue? I don't get 4G at my house so... I dunno if it's searching for it or what. In the picture I have about 6 hours of sleep or so factored in.

Guys, I'm really frustrated right now. Since the update my phone has been like this:
I've already tried 3 basebands and none of them seemed to fix the problem. Any idea what the problem might be?
I have a strong signal where I am, so I don't believe it's the radio on the new firmware.
However, maybe try a reflash of the firmware or a factory reset?
Beyond that, maybe there was some sort of service glitch/outage with your actual provider?

I've been on the Cdma 4.0.4 leak for a few months. Here is what my signal looks like... GSM may looks different, but you can try to get a better picture using Real Signal.
Yes, it's my app, but I'm not trying to advertise, just trying to offer a useful tool. (=

I just flashed a new ROM on my Sprint Galaxy Nexus when the ROM booted it asked me to do the hands free activation. Well I did and it said Error 601, so my phone was not connecting. Then I restored my previous ROM to be greeted with the Hands free activation thingy again. And this time I cannot send messages. I only have 3G. It says my number is 0000035621
I already tried the *#*#72786#*#* thing. And whenever my phone boots I am prompted with Hands Free Activations. J cannot make calls, cannot text, I can only use 4G and 3G.
The error code I get upon trying to "activate" my device is 601.
I switched from Maddoggins JB to Black Bean. Then after seeing that it wouldn't work I did a Nandroid back to Maddoggins.
Can anyone please help me?
Anyone?...

So after a few hours of flashing tons of crazy **** to my phone last night, and ending with the jb leak I think. I booted up to see no service and a circle with a slash though it as my bars. Now ive seen this plenty of times before and helped plenty of people fix it so I went about running through the list of fixes for it. Did every thing Ive ever done in the past multiple times but it was being a ***** and didn't want to budge. So as a last ditch effort I did the ##72786# reset for the 2nd or third time and it was cool. However after going into the rtn menu via the dialer code I saw everything was reset. Now I know some stuff should but I don't remember the whole list doing it. Especially the life timers. Anybody know how I did this?
