[Q] Sprint Epic 4G Touch (NY,USA) Baseband - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My rooting went horribly wrong.
I admit, I rushed it, was sleep deprived, and inpatient.
Right now, my phone looks very much like stock BUT
My issue is: I have no provider set on my phone. In other words, its as if my phone is unable to connect to Sprint's network.

When I try to update the PRL from system updates, below is the result...
I used some combination of the following files:
SuperOneClickv2.1.1-ShortFuse
S2Root_1.4.3_Release
Litening_Rom_v6-1.rar
acs-eb30-clockwork-epic-touch-4g-sep-20-4-00-pm.tar
EG30-Stock-OdexV2.zip
Stock-EG30.tar
At this point, what would be the fastest way to get my phone into a state in which it is once again recognized by Sprint

Phone is dropping signal every minute or so since the 4.0.4 update

Guys, I'm really frustrated right now. Since the update my phone has been like this:
I've already tried 3 basebands and none of them seemed to fix the problem. Any idea what the problem might be?
I have a strong signal where I am, so I don't believe it's the radio on the new firmware.
However, maybe try a reflash of the firmware or a factory reset?
Beyond that, maybe there was some sort of service glitch/outage with your actual provider?

I've been on the Cdma 4.0.4 leak for a few months. Here is what my signal looks like... GSM may looks different, but you can try to get a better picture using Real Signal.
Yes, it's my app, but I'm not trying to advertise, just trying to offer a useful tool. (=

[Q] Sprint 3g Speed question.

hello everyone,
So i still had an htc touch pro 2 until a couple days ago and they upgraded me to an evo 4g through their replacement program. Anyway this phone is a refurb and I noticed something strange.
Here are my initial download speeds at home when I first got the phone.

Ok so then i did a power cycle and the speeds dropped the following
So my question is whether I have a bad radio, or if it is something that is wrong with every phone.
In order to fix the issue I have to update the prl then do a update profile twice. then go into the ##3282# and do the profile update from there so that it goes through the hands free activation.
I appreciate your help
Thank you
**I searched all around but it seems most people just experience the issue all the time and don't get it fixed until the device is replaced**

Bricked your GS3? Post how here so others can avoid this.

This forum is a list of DO-NOTS for rooters.
In my case, I actually tried to unroot, but I forgot to clear my cache and dalvik. Bad new bears. Don't do that! What did you do, and did you get a replacement? Post below!

Yes, yes, I know. But in my defense, it was my first attempt at rooting. And I basically googled the whole process instead of finding someone who actually knew what they were doing. But I guess this qualifies my n00b status. XD

[Q] Can I flash a modem if Im flashed to PagePLus?

Hi, just flashed the note 2 to page plus and was wondering if ill be ok If I update my modem to mc2 or will I have to re flash the page plus data? thank you
Im sorry I dont know specifically the answer but I can direct you to the right area. I believe garwynn wrote a detailed description of the partition data locations over in the Android development threads.
My guess, yes you can do it and it wont change that as the place that holds your provider data is on a different partition.
But before you do anything just check out his thread. Ive flashed phones to another carrier before I know what a pain it can be...I'd hate to miss direct you in any way

Might have to do some digging. I remember there was modem flashing cross carriers, but I don't remember if there was any tweaks done to it. This was with the S3.

As in Gingerbread? Why do you want that? This device has official 4.1 Jelly Bean (GB27)
