stock swype is just unthemed swype, how is the kernel involved

how about the samsung email application?

Same here with the calendar, nothing changed.
Just asking, is stock video player giving you any problem or is just that you don't like it?
I always had the un-proved feeling that using stock apps should be better for battery reasons and things like that. Could I be wrong?

I prefer Samsung's Player No battery reasons etc, just preference. Not really a huge fan of all of the stock Android apps, i like a few but not all.
Not sure about how they impact battery as such, but maybe someone else can shed some light on that

Hi webstar1,
i got the stock phone/mms/calender/contacts etc installed over your ROM, but now the videoplayer won't work anymore... get force close when i try to open a video...
the rest is working though, very good job and awesome work
Edit: for anyone who also has this error: just copied Gallery3D back from the original Ultimate ROM and it works again.. the only thing i can't get to work is a stock videoplayer....

Hello, I have a problem, I reinstalled the Samsung Music Player, except that when I try to start a song I have a forced closure and the program has gone to see the video ...
Please help me because this rom is fantastic and I'm not going to change it, thanks

The stock music player and videoplayer wont work.. you need the music.apk and the galary3d.apk from the webstar ultimate file...

i was searching all over the xda forums and finally i found them.....
here it is.. the stock ics gallery....it's so smooth and fast....i tried it myself with my XXLPQ ics.......
feel free to download and enjoy.......the credit goes to the member "nagnrik" from the droid razr forums........

No...it just adds the ics gallery....the old 3d gallery will stay.......

I have installed the two file but it's the same gallery (ICS Samsung Stock ROM LPQ) :/

No, you have to get a new "Gallery" icon, with a more pink-ish icon. It's a nice found, but QuickPic still seems to be snappier

Nice find, thanks for posting this. My only gripe is that .gif images don't work properly and there are a few graphical glitches.... Other than that, its much faster than samsung's outdated app in rendering of images as well as overall scrolling and speed.
Why are there 2 files though? I installed the second file you posted "gallery 2", hope that was the better working one.
edit: Ok never mind. I installed it, didn't realise it was a live wallpaper.

It works perfectly, it's smoother than the Samsung one (which is less smooth than it used to be on Gingerbread by the way... ).
Besides we get the terrific galery widget along with the apk !

Just tried the Gallery2.apk on LPQ seems to work well. Much nicer and faster than stock. Settings page is empty though, not sure what should be there.
Ah one problem.. doesn't seem to pull thumbnails for many of my videos, resulting in a whole page of black thumbnails... on a black background

The thumbnails are ok with me..no black....try reboot or something like that...or maybe redo the media scan....

On all types of videos?
MP4 videos display fine, any other type (i.e. ones not natively supported by Android) do not show thumbnails.
Will have another look tomorrow, just in the very slow process or starting over with a new rom..

The old 3d gallery displays also albums from Picasa Web Albums, and this one doesn't, only photos and videos existing on the phone ;/
And when I'm trying to enter settings, there's only a black background and nothing more

I actually prefer the latest Quickpic over ICS gallery. Better option list too.

QuickPic is still the fastest and the best imo..

Its A Very Simple Request I Guess
While Browsing Sony Mobiles On GSMArena I Found
1>Lockscreen (On Xperia J,Neo L, Miro) [Where Album Art Can Be Seen On It; Well It'll Be Easy To See Whats Playing,And Not To Mention Its Cool]
2>Radio (On Xperia J) [Different Looking; Might Wanna Try, Well I Still Don't Know Whether Its Been Released Or Not]

Hi since i used to own a sony xperia phone i got used to the ui sony provided and i im not a big fan of the sense ui.
Is there some way to put the sony ui ont the One V.Any ui will do!

a little request

hi all
i have a little requset
can someone make lockscreen music widget + 3 way reboot and that silent and airplane mod for stock rom?
i tried too much to do it my self but i didnt find guides for fully working everything
im now using files form other roms but im getting a different style because of them i need stock felling with these futures
anyone can help?

Music widget lockscreen uses Xperia Go framework, that means that you will have a feel of NXT 2012 xperia's. So if you want the stock look, you will need to port the lockscreen music files to our stock framework. That means a lot of work

but we have them in many roms
i ported it using xperia go framework with a guide on xda but its had some bugs

i found a fully working nxt lockscreen for play (or maybe its like others. i dont know)

In theory, it should work in every GB rom that have NXT framework (so uxpnxtlockscreen.apk can be replaced). I know only that KrisDee's Xperia NXT2 r1 have it, but don't know about others...

i replaced it but this lockscreen didnt work on play
