current phone specs:
rooted r800i on stock 2.3.4 build .42
Been trying to run NOVA 3 since forever
I just get stuck on the loading screen then it brings me back to the xplay interface
I want to stay on stock rom (I guess until a fully functional ICS rom comes to light =p) unless there is a rom out there that really does the job for gaming. Or a workaround for a stock rom could help as well.
Anyhows the roms I've tried are icecream pureness on doom's v3 kernel and unofficial stock ICSv4 on doom's v3, and lupus linaro. Unfortunately these roms "doesn't like to play games that much"
Thanks in advance guys!
Have you tried using RAM manager? If not, then auto memory manager which lets you set your min frees?

I'm already on an unlocked bootloader and I want to OC mine as well. I'd try that rom but will I have no issues if I restore my data from titanium backup?

Yeah, I'm gonna do that now.
Will now go back to stock ICS w/ doomV3 temporarily because of the new Adreno drivers.
I just hope It doesn't mess up my other games when I do a data restore on Titanium backup
Thanks again guys! I'll report back if something happens! :good:

VitoM, your best bet is to read through the ROM threads, and you will get a good feel for which ones are good and aren't quite as popular. While I appreciate you're trying to get other user input, it is not going to do much for you. You need to remember that each ROM may act a little bit differently for each person/device depending on who you flashed/what apps you have installed.
I'm running CM9.1 in slot 1 on Turbo Kernel R16
You know the games that came preloaded on the R800x?
Crash, Asphalt, Tetris, Star Battallion, Madden, Bruce Leroy, and the SIMS?
I restored them using Titanium Backup and now they just force close when I try to run them. Am I just out of luck because I'm no longer on the stock Rom?

I was using a stock 2.3.4 rom and backed up Sims and Bruce lee. When I switched to NXT LE, I restored both and copied the data to the relevant directory and guess what? I even continued from where I left off on 2.3.4. So my restoration was successful:good:

Is there any way to get ICS stock on r800x? I saw a lot of stock based ROMs but they were all only gsm. I don't care if service works just want a booting ROM. I know r800x didn't get ICS beta but are there any that work or have been ported. Thanks

You can already install ics. You just need to flash Doom's ics beta kernel then flash rom via CWM. The install process is the same as installing any custom roms into your device. You wont get phone service btw.

Try using whatever kernel you want, what is very important is that flash the correct FTF. Try using an R800x FTF and flash any kernel and ROM. Also you can try using a CDMA Neo L ICS Firmware (If there's any) and flashing it without the kernel, just flash an ICS Xperia Play kernel...
sadly there is no cdma version of neo l i think because i couldnt find one. Thanks anyway. (already used my 8 for today but ill thank you tomorrow. its free so why not )

Strange. I changed to Lupus kernel, data seems ok, when I reboot phone, network is there everytime. But, it is not as smooth as doomkernel. I do get some lag in homescreen, menu. I'll have to try Advanced Stock Kernel then (for Increase Internal Memory script), I hope it will work with that script.
