I'm Online for Facebook - new application on Android Market

Hi,
I uploaded my first application to Android Market: I'm Online for Facebook.
I'm Online for Facebook lets you select friends to be notified on whenever they connect to Facebook chat, and see their chat availability history, while not changing your availability.
- Select friends to be notified when connected to Facebook chat
- Does not change your Facebook chat availability
- See all available friends images directly in your notification bar
- Easily select friends - filter as you type
- Select notifications behavior and sound
- See availability status history for each selected friend
- Open Facebook chat or friend profile directly from friend's context menu
- Available translations: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Hebrew, Bulgarian, French, Czech, Finnish, German and Russian
- DOES NOT DRAIN BATTERY!!
I'm Online for Facebook is fully functional for 30 days.
To download I'm Online for Facebook, goto: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.pixeltech.imonline.
For users who the app stopped updating friends availability since last week - this was a facebook issue which affected many apps.
I changed the app to not be affected by this issue and as since from today app is functioning OK as before. Regardless, facebook will issue a fix soon for this issue. Sorry for the inconvenience and many thanks for your patience!

And also, if you enjoy it - please take a minute to rate it at Android Market...
Many thanks!

App was updated (version 1.5) - Fixed FC issue in some scenarios where slow / non-responding internet connection causes application to not respond

Nice app i will try
Hey dude. Nice app though I have one question.
When I'm using packet data does it go through the official facebook servers (whatever?)
I'm on a limited plan due to money issues and I get 100mb of packet data a month and unlimited social networking data. I know some Face Book apps the data dosn't count as "social networking" aside from the official FB app itself. So does it?
Thanks

Hi,
All access to Facebook data is through Facebook's official SDK for Android.
I don't know how exactly is your data usage calculated, but if it is based on URLs than this should be OK.
please also consider that my app also authenticates through my server. however, this is on a one-time-per-day basis and with a very little query-response size, so this should not consume more than a few KB per month.
Hope this helps...
App was updated (version 1.6) with the following features:
- Grouping of selected friends by online / offline state
- Friends lists are now sorted alphabetically
looks great, any feedbacks about battery , and privacy ?

Hi, thanks.
Regarding battery I made special effort to make the app battery friendly, regarding privacy I don't store, forward or use in anyway any of your facebook and phone information outside your phone - besides your account name which I use for app licensing calculations only.
App was updated (v1.7) and now includes:
- Added translations to Russian and French
- Added language selection option for the application interface (independent of system locale)
- minor bug fixes
Added Italian translation, many thanks to Krishath!
Added Translations, currently available translations are: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Hebrew, Bulgarian, French and Russian
Added Czech and Finnish translations
Added German translation (thanks to r00t4ev3r)
Added Indonesian translation (thanks to djocqer)
Added Danish translation (Thanks to Neefy)

Any manual,
I want to type something.
Say.....
This is a great App? :good:
Not sure how to do this,
I go to the wedge that has a "t", now if the word list shows "This" I select it ? Not sure how to pick the word.
If "this" is not detected, enter a "h"
Seems like all words testing it come out capitalized first letter, want one the first word capitalized.
Sure playing I will figure it out but a manual be nice.

I agree. I'm also trying to figure out how to get they keyboard active within the apps, Hangouts in particular. I can get the practice mode up, but that's it.

+1 this is important for my Hangouts & others! Could it be enabled as the default IME?
If you read the OP, native apps do not have keyboard support. You have to use a 3rd party app that supports the input IME. The Apps are listed in the OP to substitute for Hangouts and GMail.
You have to use the 3rd party apps as substitutes to get Keyboard IME support. The apps to use are in the OP
Thanks, I didn't find that to be very clear. I've uninstalled it as it actually killed my battery.

Trying to change Google Assistant language

I saw that Google Assistant is avaliable in polish language on my father's galaxy s8 (of course it works!). I have rooted Pixel 2 XL and I'm thinking how could I enable assistant in my foreign language. Any ideas? Where can I found google app folder directory in root/?

what? translate with s-pen

i never noticed this before.
or maybe after i installed Google translate.
you can translate with s-pen, just point the pen where you want translate
This is a function that exists since the note 7, you can select single word or entire sentences, very useful
Installing Google Translate and then clicking Spen button will bring up Spen menu that contains Google Translate option.
Just came to know this feature. Very useful and only something the note can do.
The old fashioned way would be to select the text and then share it to Google Translate.
Yes it is very unique to note series and very useful, no hassle fast translation everywhere tjanks to OCR

Question No real time translation in Google lens

Hi. Wondering if it is just me doing something wrong, of if it is a general thing on the 9Pro:
In google lens (both when launched from camera and from the stand alone app) i need to take a picture of text before it will translate it. On my 8T (and in the google translate app) it will be "real time", meaning that the text is translated just while "looking" at it real time with the camera.... Am i missing a setting, or is it phone related? *edit*: I also see i am missing the option to download languages for offline translations (in lens again.... it works in the google translate app... and no i prefer to use the integration in the camera app as it is faster to launch )
Works now. Guess some behind the scenes update happened
