what? translate with s-pen - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Guides, News, & Discussion

i never noticed this before.
or maybe after i installed Google translate.
you can translate with s-pen, just point the pen where you want translate

This is a function that exists since the note 7, you can select single word or entire sentences, very useful

Installing Google Translate and then clicking Spen button will bring up Spen menu that contains Google Translate option.
Just came to know this feature. Very useful and only something the note can do.
The old fashioned way would be to select the text and then share it to Google Translate.

Yes it is very unique to note series and very useful, no hassle fast translation everywhere tjanks to OCR

[Q] Translate function in Internet Explorer

Guys, I love my Surface RT but the only thing that's missing for me is, well Google chrome of course, but since we can't get that (yet) I wonder if there is a translate function within IE just like Google chrome? Or is there a plugin available which I can install by jailbreaking my device?
I know that I can translate a website via Google translate website but its not working correctly for me.
Desktop-mode only, but IE has a feature called "accelerators" that let you highlight some text, then click a button (or press-and-hold or right-click on the text) and translate it, search it, map it, whatever. It's had this for about as long as Google Chrome has even existed, in fact! By default it uses the Bing services, but that's fully customizable. Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Accelerators -> Find More Accelerators... will let you get to the Google ones, for example

Amazing both of them works better than via Google translate. Still waiting on a function like Google Chrome that translates it automatically but for now this option with the bookmark is the best!
Fingers crossed for a browser choice in win8.1

Remove "s" from Stock Dictionary

I am using the stock google gesture keyboard and the stock google dictionary. I frequently mistype the letter "a" as the letter "s". The android dictionary seems to think that "s" is a word, though I have no idea why. I would like to remove this work from teh stock dictionary. It is not in my user dictionary, and there are plenty of instructions for how to remove words there. While a better solution would be for me to press key smore accurately, that is a topic for another day. Does anyone know how to remove erroneous words from the default android dictionary? Does any one else get the s/a problem?

Why do you have to stick to stock keyboard? Get your Swiftkey on!

I've tried swype and swiftkey. Swpe for the longest, even bought the paid version recently, but Swype always ended up getting laggy and i always had delays on the keyboard. Back to my original question though...is there something about Swiftkey that allows you to edit the stock dictionary? I thought the updated version of the android keyboard offered all the advantages of gesture typing. What is the stock android gesture typing keyboard missing that swiftkey has?
Swiftkey now has cloud storage for your user dictionary which I think is pretty nice which syncs across all of you're android devices. I just live the setup of Swiftkey and the options it gives you. All I can say is download it and try it out. And you can edit your dictionary through Swiftkey, don't know if it's the stock dictionary or their version.

That's the whole problem is that the "s" is in the stock dictionary, not the user dictionary.

How do you guys/gals use S-Note? (if you even use it at all)

Hey all,
I've been loving the Note 3 and getting into the S features much more than I ever did on my Note 1. I often find uses for the scrapbook feature and the action memo handwriting recognition is ridiculous. I can't seem to find a use for S-Note however. For drawing I'll just use SketchBook pro and for quick memos I'll use Google Keep or google tasks.
I'm curious, do any of you use S Note for anything useful, and if so could you share your experience.
on my note 2 it for quotes when I went to bid out a job. No I cant sync it with Google so rarely use it.

Keyboard and Personal Dictionary

Hi All,
I recently changed from a Nexus 5 to OnePlus 3. One of the things that i am most troubled by is the personal dictionary issue. I am a Bengali and have saved quite a few Bengali words (>2000 saved) and swipes in my 3 years of using Nexus 5 with the Google Keyboard. I used User Dictionary Manager to take a backup of those words in a .txt file and was hoping to import them into the OP3. But UDM is disabled and the Google Keyboard Sync option is very unreliable. Some words have been synced but some others haven't.
Suggest what i can do to port my personal dictionary to the OP3 or for that matter in any device. What's the point of giving keyboard sync as an option if it doesn't work. Please let me know.
regards,
Shuvo

Question No real time translation in Google lens

Hi. Wondering if it is just me doing something wrong, of if it is a general thing on the 9Pro:
In google lens (both when launched from camera and from the stand alone app) i need to take a picture of text before it will translate it. On my 8T (and in the google translate app) it will be "real time", meaning that the text is translated just while "looking" at it real time with the camera.... Am i missing a setting, or is it phone related? *edit*: I also see i am missing the option to download languages for offline translations (in lens again.... it works in the google translate app... and no i prefer to use the integration in the camera app as it is faster to launch )
Works now. Guess some behind the scenes update happened
