I just had this problem today. My HOX screen is not responsive on the middle part of the lcd. The part where the blue line not connected is where the problem is. I've found that the left side of the screen has a really tiny crack. I suppose I have to replace the screen. But I don't know if I have to replace the digitizer only or replace the whole lcd itself. Has anyone ever encounter this problem.

I had a similar problem but at the bottom of the screen. Got it repaired by HTC under warranty. As yours is cracked they probably won't honour the warranty. Afaik you'll have to replace the whole LCD/digitizer assembly as the digitizer can't be replaced seperately

Dear God looks like a dog got hold of it. Anyways you can get replacement housing's on ebay but for a screen you need to send it away I believe. GL

If anyone can help me with this problem I'm having, I would greatly appreciate it. So ever since I bought my E4GT in August of 2012, the menu button has not functioned correctly. Part of it is covered. Whenever my phones been used heavily it starts acting up. Part of it is covered (it was like that out of the box). If the screen gets hot, the menu will start showing options. The only way to stop it is to lock-n- unlock. Is it my phone when it heats up it thinks it's being touched? Do I need a new digitizer, cause this is getting on my nerves now. And of I do have to replace the digitizer, should I have sprint replace the digitizer or is there one online I could get for under $50 that I could do myself. I have pictures of it.

[Q] Screen glitch?

Hi guys, today i noticed something while scrolling on my tablet. A reddish smudge on the screen, even when i rotate the screen it's in the same spot, but only it seems that that part of the screen has started showing black as red. Do you have any experience with this?

Thats a permanent damage to the backlight plate. No fix for it sorry.
Use your warranty before it expires. That's exactly what mine did, except it was 4 pink dots. Warrantied and got a brand new one, without the touchscreen problems that the previous one had.
I have same problem but I bought in MELBOURNE last September therefore no chance for replacement. ⊙▽⊙

[Q] HTC One VX repair

I found this phone on the street, face down. The lcd and touchscreen were completely smashed in and destroyed.

It did charge and power on. I heard the startup chime and the volume rocker made sounds that indicated that the volume was changing. I removed the removed the touchscreen and lcd, cause glass was falling out.
I am considering repairing the phone, but now with the screen removed, it has ceased to power on. The most it will do is flash green then 2 seconds later flash green again. Is it a goner, or could I still repair it? Do phones refuse to start without the screen/touch screen?

Odd display issue

I just came across this very odd display issue after sending my phone to replace the glass broke. They used OCA as they said.

Click to collapse
That has had pressure applied to it in those areas
Also, how many left hands do you have?
What snoozer said, it's what happens to mostly OLEDs when they crack, the liquid crystal oozes out... The panel is broken and needs to be replaced... It happened to my brother's Galaxy S5 after he accidentally dropped it
