Bad piggies keeps freezing - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed Bad piggies on my Arc S (stock .587 with root and xperia S lockscreen + keyboard, tho i dunno how that could be related),
and the game keeps freezing, not FCing, but buttons become unresponsive, sometimes for up to a minute. But the music keeps playing and animations are still playing (the waves and pigs). It's really annoying, coz sometimes timing is crucial and all.
Sometimes it works for 5 minutes straight, then it lags a little, then works again, but other times its unplayable.
I tried moving the game in internal memory, but that doesnt resolve the issue. Restarting the phone doesn't either.
Anyone else has this issue? I tried searching, but it doesnt seem to happen to others as I cannot find existing themes with the same issue (at least not for Arc S). What to do, what to try?
Thanks!

Please ask your questions in Q & A next time. This is not the forum for questions.
Yes I experience this problem as well. Might be because of our dated hardware but when it works it works fine. Don't let it bother you too much. ICS isn't the greatest platform for gaming on the arc anyway.

Clear your dalvik cache with app2sd, otherwise you dont have enough ram/internal memory to play the game
Indeed wrong topic mate, but further i play it a long time now and no probs with it
Best Regards

Sorry, the topic has been moved, Ill pay more attention next time.
I cleared dalvik cache with link2sd (it offered to clean 3 entries, not the whole thing). Is that okay? Or do i need to wipe the whole thing in recovery, as its still freezing.
How did you guys get it to play?
thanks!

i reckon cleaning 3 entries should be fine.

[Q] Android Revolution HD 2.0.11(no sense) no Performance AT ALL?

Hey there,
I just wanted to ask if someone experienced the same Problem as me. Did a complet wipe, installed RevoHD and directly after that RevoHD_no sense.
At first start I already experienced lots of laggs, while scrolling in the menu, well i don't want to call it scrolling because I wipe my finger, wait 1-3 seconds and then the menu moves, and not even smoothly. same with starting apps etc..
My fault, known bug?!?
Thanks for Answers!
After reinstall everything works fine for me... Still weird!
There will always be hickups that only get solved by doing it all again
Good 2 hear u got it working tho
dont worry. sometimes it happen when the cleanup is interrupt halfway. after wipe again, then you'll be fine

Is anyone else finding their Arc starting to lag?

I have had my Arc since it first came out in the UK but have noticed on occasions of late that it seems to have developed a lag, especially on things like accessing the gallery & messaging. Has anyone else noted this?
Nope. However I do use a cache cleaner every few weeks.
Sent from my LT15i using XDA App
Yup, after about 2 weeks mine started to lag every once in a while. I just assumed it was because of some faulty app. So I did a clean install, and 2 weeks later it was the same again. (didn't install too many apps this time)
Mine is still great.
try an app called fast reboot....I find it speeds things up
No lag at all here, 2 months in.
Had the Arc (UK) about 2 months and in the last two weeks things have really started to lag. Have had to resort to rebooting and cleaning the cache regularly but it only takes a day to start lagging again. Wondering whether there is a CPU/ memory hog there in my app suite or a widget but haven't been able to identify anything yet. Once the phone goes below 40-50MB free it is all over and I have to reboot.
This may sound weird but my phone lags during the day and it runs super fast at night lol

I have this lags, too. But I had not to reboot the system, yet...
Any more ideas?
Cheers!

After update on Android 2.3.3 i don't hve any lag. Before that I had lag but nothing to worry about. I think it was Android 2.3.2 that cousses lag.

Same here after about 1 to 2 days the phone memory goes to about 25MB and is practically not useable and need to reboot. I am on 2.3.3
I went through my apps & by trial & error ended up removing a particular app & that seems to have sped things up a bit. Also downloaded a history cleaner & used that & that has improved things a bit as well. But in certain areas it definitely still seems to lag. Have to wonder now if it is something to do with the Arc's hardware?
ok guys after using SeePU+++ i think i found the process that uses the most cpu power and lags down our Arc is "ndroid.process.acore"
not sure what it does but i believe it is the culprit for random slow downs and lag on our phone...
does anyone know what it does? can anyone confirm my findings?
P.s. I am on global generic 2.3.3 firmwre 145
This problem may be caused by a bug in the Google Contacts Sync , just as seen in this bug:
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=2377
In other devices like HTC Evo this problem persist
http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-sup...ore-why-sucking-up-so-much-battery-power.html
http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-sup...andom-reboots-magic-bullet-facebook-sync.html
I don't have the Google Sync activated and i don't feel my Arc Laggy
This phone is incredibly laggy. Many FCs or lags when I open the messaging app or other apps... Very sad and frustrating.
One of the major causes of lag on the HTC hero was having too many text messages stored on the phone. Ever since then i tend to not let the numbers build up too much, and i havent noticed any lag problems on the arc (maybe it's a general android problem).

[Q] ShadowGun loading issues

So I was loading up a round of ShadowGun and everytime I go to load my game or start a new one it leiter bumps back to the homescreen or reboots my phone. I even went as far as redownloading it from the market and wiping the games cache but still the same result. Is anyone else having the same issue? I have tried to play it every day for 3 days with the same issue every time. Getting annoyed as I love this game....

Stock rom heavily modified and debloated, root and DoomKernel. I am going to wuipe cache in recovery and see if that resolves the issue, will report back
Hmm, I had the issue with Fifa 12. I wanted to play it but it forced closed the app everytime i´ve wanted to play a match. So i´ve replaced the SD-Files from a earlier backup and it worked. Maybe you´ll have to redownload the SD Files because some games maybe don´t delete them when you deinstall the app and they are damaged by faulty SD Card and the game doesn´t recognise it.
I have redownloaded the sd files a few times already and same thing, I even completely uninstalled and reinstalled redownloaded sd files and same result
Can you guys help me with my issues too? I'm having the same. for me, NOVA 3, mass effect infiltrator and shadowgun. But what I encountered is SUPER LAG. It's like, my phone just hangs or doesn't respond. Tried v6 and/or ram manager. But my reboot is kinda weird. Usually if you reboot you can see the doomskernel logo, then only Sony Ericsson right? What I see is only the Sony Ericsson logo only. And can i ask what is nitro lag nullifier from v6?(or is it spelled like that?

[Q] Gin2JB 2.5.2 huge problem with Force Closes.

Hey guys, I've just updated this fantastic ROM to the latest version, which seems like a huge mistake...
The problem is I keep getting spammed with force closes. Random apps that run in the background get abruptly closed and I get the message about it. It's quite often.
What's worse is that some apps just straight up refuse to run and force close. Game Guides, Dolphin, Titanium Backup, Ebay, FPSe, Opera, just to name a few...
As I'm sure you can imagine this is a pretty BIG problem. Any help figuring this out would be awesome.
I'm using a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play r800i
Update: I use Link2SD and I figured that maybe that had something to do with it. I un-linked a couple of apps, one at a time, and found that after a restart of the device they'd work again. I still get FCs every now and then on the same apps, but it's progress I suppose and a sign of what the problem could be.
Update 2: I think I figured out the problem. In my haste I didn't think about the Dalvik Cache... Cleared it up and now it seems to run smoother and I haven't seen a FC yet (15 minutes in). Apologies for potentially wasting someone's time.

Nexus 7 2013 Becoming Slow.

Hey,
I got my N7, 16GB WiFi, 1½ month(s) ago, and it was amazing. I was playing games, like Modern Combat 4, at a super smooth frame rate, I was browsing the web at amazings FPS's, just the general UI was so fluid.
The day I got it, I unlocked, flashed a recovery and rooted. I play the game I mentioned above, MC4, a lot and am quite good at it. I though that it would be a good idea to record what I was doing and show the world! (www.youtube.com/user/StealthGamingAndroid if you want to see)
The game was smooth before, just playing, and was still smooth after. What impressed me was that even while recording, it felt like I still had amazing frames.
About a week or so ago, that stopped. I was getting lag, the game was jittery and making the whole thing unplayable, even when not recording. But it wasn't just the game. The whole UI felt, even though it wasn't terrible, sluggish.
I didn't/haven't changed my setup, regarding ROM, Kernel or Processor Speeds since the day I got it. It is running the version of 4.3 it came with out of the box. (My choosing to keep it on that and not update)
The only things I have done regarding root have been using SCR Pro, the recording software, and using Xposed and Gravitybox.
I do not know what is causing this sudden lag, and how I can fix it. A brief search on Google didn't turn up anything that I could relate to. So I present to you my question.
How do I fix this lag?
I do not mind if it means using root, flashing a new ROM or even a new kernel. (Never flashed a different kernel on all 4 of my devices) Over clocking I also haven't done, but if it means removing the lag, I will consider it.
I am extremely grateful for what ever solutions or suggestions you give me, and will happily look into them.
Thank you for your time reading this, and for helping a confused user out.
Faithfully,
-R
Boot into recovery, clear you caches, boot normally, see if that fixed it, if not...boot into safe mode and see if the problem persists, if that fixed it, it's one or more of your apps, you'll have to either flash to stock and reinstall one at a time, when it starts lagging again you've found the app, or remove one at a time and see when it stops, if the problem still occurs in safe mode, backup and flash back to stock and see if it persist, if it does, maybe it's hardware.

That has fixed some of it, but it still feels choppy. (The wiping of the caches, I mean)

I use an app called Clean Maste. You can get it in the Play Store. It's basically like CC Cleaner on the computer (if you don't have it, get it!). Just clear all the stuff in the junk option EXCEPT obsolete APKs. If you know what you're doing, cleaning in Junk Advanced can help too.
Also, be sure to delete all the apps you don't need, and clear your multitasking often.
For a big performance boost. you can overclock your tablet. First, tell us if the other things work above. If not, PM me and I'll be glad to teach you to overclock

Did you try uninstalling Xposed?
When my tablet lags a little, I usually turn it completely off for a couple minutes. This helps me quite a bit.
This may sound dumb or crazy but you got to remember that it's a computer and turning it off once or twice a week will clear the cobwebs.
