IMEI is 0, Can't connect to my Carrier

So, I installed CM10 on my Galaxy S3 on Bell, and I was having trouble connecting to the network, so I did a full restore back to the stock rom, and still I wasn't able to connect to my network (Bell). So I checked the Status, and it's saying: Network- Unkown. and IMEI - 0 (IMEI- 01)
So, how can I get my IMEI number back and connect to my network.

Can you get in download mode
If you can doit again restore orginal
Jb or ics see what happens

Yeah I can get to Download mode, I'm going to Restore Back to ICS w/ LALH1 firmware for Bell (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874982&highlight=imei)

Ok good if that works out for you and you have everything going you should do this as you would not be in this situation

I just did the restore and it wasn't sucessful, I am still getting IMEI as 0.

You need to inject your imei and use this guys tool to fix things.

Its also easier to do it using stock ROM.

imei says 0 on s3 i747m

I've tried NV-Generator to create a .txt file for my imei and use NV-reader-writer to inject it in my phone but it always says, "Failed.. Phone does not answer". I even tried the QPST RF NV Manager to put my imei back and it says phones not connected. I have searched everywhere on this forum and tried everything and nothing is working. And yes I do have samsung drivers installed that's how I rooted my phone in the first place. As of now my phone is like an ipod running android I can't use any phone featuers.

What Android version are you on? Can you go to your phone settings and let's see what you have under ... Baseband Version, Android Version and Build Number?

Just simple thing and I was also having the problem and there was no solution. but I found a solution on my own. I just flashed custom ROM and wprkrled great. Please try it and tell me, because it worked for me

Need Help ASAP. No Service on S3

So I have a Telus I747M (Canadian) and I used ROM Manager to get CWM 6 on my phone. The thing is that I chose the Metro PCs version and I installed it. Now I have no signal at all. I flashed the firmware back to the stock telus one via USB and Odin. Still no service, anything to do now?

are you sure you flashed the right stock rom? Stupid question but it's always best to check. And did you get your phone from Metro or did you unlock it?

go to about setting ->status, does it say Metro PCs(if you're on metro pcs) under Network?

Try flashing any rom (like Cyanogenmod) and then use any of the many methods to re-unlock your phone to Metro and see if that helps.

If your IMEI shows 0, no amount of flashing will help you. You must restore you IMEI to have data working again. If you backed up your IMEI or EFS folder your set, just restore it.

Hi, Thanks for helping me. I have not backed up the IMEI and do not have EFS. I have tried those instructions and I have one problem. I cannot find my phone in the "COM" Ports. There's simply nothing there related to my phone.

You need the Samsung keis drivers. You can get them by installing Samsung Keis.

Did you make sure you put your phone into RMNET +DM + MODEM mode before trying to find your phone in the COMs?

I got my IMEI number into my phone now. The IMEI SV is 01 still. No signal now still. What do I do?

Fixed the problem, followed exactly this post and got it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32974433#post32974433

The data is slow now even after showing 4g connections. Sometimes the data shows its on but there's no connection at all. Any help? The speeds show 1mbps download and .2 for upload on 4g.

Great reply, but yeah, I'm left with the same problem of slow connectivity. Same problem as linked post, and followed his process to the letter. Oh well, spent most of my Sunday trying to fix this. As long as I can make calls and transceive texts, that'll have to do.

Well if you have problems still and the imei is back, I don't see why there's anything wrong with taking it to the store to get it checked out.

I am in the same boat. Slow connection, rarely actually works. Had lost my imei, but restored it with the NV whatever.. Saved my QCN using QPST, then tried to use QCN restorer app, and am getting an error occurred blah blah.
I brought it in to AT&T yesterday, had a full restore completed and new sim card installed... no luck. guess i will keep trying stuff until its either bricked or back to normal haha

So my brother rooted his Galaxy s 2 and in every 4.2.2 ROM the phone wont send messages or phone calls and it like loses signal and on the top by the signal bar it says DC. How do you fix it? If any of you guys can help that would be nice. Thanks

what does your baseband says (in about phone)?
you might need to flash a modem/radio file

assuming your phone wasnt on a 4.2.2 rom
1- check your APN settings
2- reboot
you might need to flash a newer radio (T989UVMC6)

[Q] SGH-I737M - modem issues

Hi all,
I have a Bell Canada Samsung Galaxy S3 that I can't get the modem to work on. I have Philz recovery on it and have tried a few modem files but neither the wireless or the mobile carrier works.
I have tried putting cyanogenmod on it but am back on a stock ROM at this point. I am at a bit of a loss as to what to do.
The phone boots fine, looks all normal but I just can't get on the mobile network(tried multiple SIM's).
I am really hoping you can help!

It does, it shows my IMEI with a /5 at the end.
At this point, I am running I747MVLUEMK5_I747MOYCEMK5_BMC
I also do show cellular signal but can't seem to connect. When I scan wireless networks, I pick nothing up.
Any ideas?

Is the phone blacklisted?

I don't think so, how can I verify that? I did buy it used just over a year ago and it only broke about a month ago?

You've had the phone for a while so I didn't think it would be blacklisted.
Since you have the 4.3 bootloader, you need to have a compatible modem and, from my experience, only the mk5 modem will work.
Did you use Odin to flash back to stock?

Yes, that is how I put the current stock firmware on it. I had cyanogenmod on it at one point...

Hello i hope i can help i have to ran into this problem before and here is what i did to fix it.
Flash the modem using the dl from this forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2745607
also once you are done you will need the nv writer and the i747 dl froim teh same forum that will get you all fixed up i promise. Just follow the steps and ready the whole thing first. I looked for three days and finally resolved it with Larrys help

After i install the rom , my MeiD is unknown.. i no longer get data 3G.
i love the rom i dont want to go back to my old rom... any solution to fix MEID and Data or how to enable Usb Modem/Diag Mode so i can use Cdma Tools

What carrier do you have? Do you have a backup? Do a clean flash of ROM and gapps.

i'm use indonesian carrier..
I found a trick to solve the problem of 3G data, just copy the files they share in the forum to to 'system/etc/ppp' and my 3G data is back :angel:
for MEID is unknown, I think it's not important.
because my phone works well with MEID unknown
