Works on CM7 vo-1 flawlessly, I just wanted to see a list of paid apps that aren't installed like there where on older versions.
Thanks, installed without the need to push it to system app on my nexus 7.
Thanks. As said, you can now view the details of an app in My Apps and return to the list without it leaping to the top. I still miss being able to see a list of purchased apps though.

I found that but still can't order the list to show paid apps together. I also wish you could order uninstalled apps alphabetically.

... which kinda doesn't make sense, since this was a feature a few versions ago. Someone even "ported" old market version to workaround that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809215. I hope this will also be useful to others like it was useful to me

it works! thanks a lot!
Just installed it as normal apk, without renaming it, works perfect!
Cheers!
Tried to copy paste or install...it worked, but when i reboot play store comes back in the old version.
In my system/app the playstore is named phonesky.apk, not vending.apk (using s'perience rom). What should i do?

New port. It's the LiveWallpapers.apk from Nexus S, the ORIGINAL. Very smooth and zero problems. Had to decompile and fix some lines.
Back up and Delete your original LiveWallpapers.apk Then Push to /system/app with the usual permissions. Enjoy.

thanks for this...can you make an update.zip for flashing it through CWM?
Thanks dude.
I made a standalone apk for the Nexus LWP alone.

One thing though - would it be possible to make a flashable .zip-file for CWM?

Its renamed to com.android.nexuss, install and get only the Nexus LWP, the others are equal to stock.
working perfectly, thanks a lot! been looking for this so much!
Dumb question - I have to be deodexed and rooted for this, right?
hello, I need a clarification: I have to rename the file from NexusS.apk to com.android.nexuss.apk before installing it? I also noticed that the animation does not start where I touch the screen, but a little to the right.

Phone model-ROM?
Here it goes.
I have a G2 running Android 2.2.1 with CM 6.1.1
Vending.apk was originally 2.2.6 so I updated it to 2.2.7
Check version by going to Menu/Setting/Application/Manage applications/...
Look under Downloaded if not check under Running for Market. Click on it and check Market version (your version)
I tooked the Vending.apk file from Vending-2.2.7-signed-testkeys.update.zip and replaced it with the Vending.apk from Black_market_3.zip.
You can use 7zip,Winrar or any program that will access these files.
system/app/Vending.apk <- change this file.
Run BlackVending-2.2.7-signed-testkeys.update.zip on ROM Manager
Let you phone reboot check your market and let me know.
Over six themes have been tested and work.
I would like to Thank all developers and everyone that has made this possible. Thank you.
screen shots?
I recommend an explainer for blackmarket in the op. Most are unaware of it, imo. From us who do... nice work!
Wait a minute... if this blackmarket or the new market themed black, lol?
Nevermind... its just a themed market apk, oh well. Blackmarket is a warez related app so I better not bring it up nor would it be posted here. My bad...

I think he was just giving you an option for a themed one and regular 2.2.7... why there is a 3rd file is a mystery to me. In other words there are two black market apks that are the same version, lol! They are all 2.2.7... there is no need to flash one and then the other... very redundant...

There is no need to flash all three files.
BlackVending-2.2.7-signed-testkeys.update.zip is a working update with a black theme.
Vending-2.2.7-signed-testkeys.update.zip is just a normal udpate to 2.2.7
Black_market_3.zip is a update to a black theme market but, for some reason this file doesn't work for many.
Taking the Vending.apk file from Black_market_3.zip and copying/replacing the Vending.apk file from Vending-2.2.7-signed-testkeys.update.zip
I made a working BlackVending-2.2.7-signed-testkeys.update.zip files and others as well check the files below:
I want to remove pre-installed apps I don't need/want on my phone.
And I want to know if there is a way to see what apks another apk needs to run.
and if there is a way to find what apk file an app in my app list is.
And another thing. if I deodex stuff, is it only /system/app and /system/framework I need to deodex? or is there any apk's in other places too?

The problem here is that an apk is usually a standalone package but the app may call other apps during runtime, so hard to know what's going on during runtime..

Just use Super Manager and launch APK Manager; you'll have a list showing the installed apps, click on one of them, you'll get a lot of info including apk name and package name

Yes, you need to deodex system apps and framework stuff, nothing else.
Hey, i deleted some system apps, which i will never need again.
First you need Titanium Backup. You find it in the Market.
So you´re able to save your apps and then unistall it. But dont uninstall everything...some apps are very important!
I only uninstalled apps, which are not to use on the flipout but uses disk space.
Files you can delete:
ESMusica
HipHopOfficial
Kodak Perfect Touch
QuickOffice (i have QuickOffice Pro installed)
RevolverTV
SIM Toolkit 2.1 update 1
TrueCountry 2.0.0012
Youtube (i replaced it with the android2.3 youtube)
There are a lot more apps to delete but some apps need a similar app to replace e.g. blur launcher...the phone won´t start if there is no similar launcher added before..
have fun
Thanks, can anyone post some more disposable applications here?

Here are the names I found on mine:
hiphopofficial.apk
esmusica.apk
revolver.apk
YouTube.apk
KPT.apk (kodak stuff)
Quickoffice_BasicViewer_2_0_26_NSTL_Signed_2010-05-04_19-41-13.apk truecountry.apk
Stk.apk (sim toolkit, i think)
Added to your list:
ArcVideoEditorLite.apk
@Schallstoerer
can you post your upgraded youtube apk ?
no problem!
you have to rename it in youtube.apk!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817528
1. download the apk
2. delete old youtube.apk from /system/app/youtube.apk with root explorer
3. restart the phone
4. uninstall com.google.android.youtube (it appears after the restart in your settings - manage apps...
5. move the new youtube.apk to the system/app folder
6. install it!
maybe you have to restart..dont know!
Having problems with your youtube app.
To make the vid start i have to click on HQ as soon as the vid opens otherwise it returns 'sorry can't play...'.
Sent from my MotoMB511 using XDA App
Some more apps I'd remove:
newswidget
socialshare
statuswidget
universalinbox
weatherwidget
blur-services [very uncertain about this, is this system necessary ?]
blurcontactssync [very uncertain about this too]
do you think it's safe removing them ?
One more question: I made a backup of previously removed apps but apks only, not the odex files. If I try putting the apk back to /system/app the app works again although I read that odexed apps usually need both apk and odex to start again.
sooo lets try!
i dont have the problems with the youtube.apk like you! do you have uninstalled the com.google.android.youtube after restart?
maybe you have to set the permissions in root explorer to
"rw-r--r--"
i hope it will help!
there are a lot of lists which system apps can be deleted and whats their function!

this is the best list i found but only in german!

You have tested this on 4.2.2? I flashed it but there is no browser in the app drawer anymore. If you try to install the apk from system/app then it says the package cannot be parsed. Reverted back to the old one for now.

You dont need root, only you have to flash a custom recovery with fastboot... For that you have to unlock bootloader

I have installed SuperSU 1.45 to get root.
put the 4.3 browser.apk in system/app folder, change permissions to rw-r-r .
rename browserproviderproxy.apk to browserproviderproxy.apk.bak and browserproviderproxy.odex.apk to browserproviderproxy.odex .apk.bak .
then reboot .
if u want the browser to sync bookmarks with chrome copy ChromeBookmarksSync.apk into system/app folder and change permissions to rw-r-r
To enable sync go to system/settings/google turn on bookmark sync.
