Every time I do a search through my browser (dolphin) I get a pop up that asks me if I want to enter game mode. Does anyone know what this is and how to permanently disable/remove it?
Thanks.
Yeah what is it???
And what did u type???
--------------------------------------------------
If I have helped you.... hit that sexy thanks button. ^_^
Yes, I am also really looking forward to hearing what this GAME MODE is. I really don't know.
I think that maybe it has sth to do with the new Jetpack add-on, but unfortunately when I choose this game mode thing,
everything loads really fast, but there is no more address bar, no back button, nothing. You can just use it on Google.
Would be really cool if somebody could clarify this "ENTER GAME MODE" thing.
Thanks in advance.
Btw: I am using Dolphin HD on Samsung Galaxy S3 with stock rom, no root.
Anytime I use the search bar in Dolphin when the results load I get that popup.
I've uninstalled jet pack and it doesn't do it anymore. I guess Dolphin jet pack thinks the search result site is a game site so it is offering up game mode. That's my guess.
I haven't really noticed any speed improvement with jetpack installed so it's staying uninstalled for now.
I recently started to get this as well.
Just like you I don't see angry value in jetpack either so I will uninstall now and try .....

It's definitely jetpack. It wouldn't be so bad if it only asked you once but every time I go to an HTML 5 site.
I'll try again after an update. For now I find jetpack unusable.
Perhaps it's a mode that allows to legally say "GAME ON!" while browsing through sites.
loljk
Game mode actually is a feature that puts the web page into full screen mode. So if there was a game on the webpage, you wouldn't be scrolling around everywhere when trying to play.
But why is it coming when I open the Browser with Google as my start page?
Gesendet von meinem GT-I9300 mit Tapatalk 2
Perhaps cause you're searching for games?
No, definitely not. It is directly after I open the Browser, I haven't even typed in any word for searching.

Removed jetpack and problem gone. In fact jetpack only slowed my surfing. And no this had nothing to do with gaming.
Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 2
I will also uninstall it as I see no reason or no improvement with jetpack so far.

Looks very nice. Like the sidebars when sliding in a site to the left or right to get the tabs and settings. Zooming in and moving in a site is quite fast but the text isnt rendered very well. Looks it needs a kind of antia-aliasing.

Very buggy. Crashes, becomes unresponsive and has to be killed with a task manager.
Not ready for anything except bug finding and crash testing, imho.
Quite slow especially when zooming everything becomes pixelated for ages.

Works slowishly ok on sites with no Flash. Sites with any flash content go gray immediately. Then the browser crashes.
Running on the euro version, rooted 2.1.
It's a bit slow tho. Standart browser is faster.

I've tried a few different browsers Opera, Dolphin HD, Skyfire & this Firefox beta, they all have there pros & cons it's what works for you.
Saying that I'm back on the stock browser running DXJP1 froyo test build & it plays flash sites really well, I can watch tv from catchuptv.com & play videos from other sites & play flash games.
I've just tried.
What a heap of ****e...
Slow as hell, doesn't even load a page. Couldn't quit from the application it was so slow!! Had to close it with task manager for me as well.
My Samsung I9000 Pda Jpk ,,,I was www.DailyMoton.com..But The video is slow and I can't hear nothing ..Any help About That? Thank
it's a praiseworthy attempt! let's hope it'll be as good as it is on the desktops.

anybody knows when will it be on the market?
Just a shameless plug.
If you (like me) don't want to put up with the bugs in FF4-Android-Beta2
(like not starting with the link that started the browser, taking forever to load,
no double-tap to zoom, forgetting it's sync-settings,..) but LOVE Firefox Sync,
then I recomment to try
FF Sync for DolphinHD.
http://sites.google.com/site/firefoxsyncfordolphinhd/
or:
http://www.androidpit.com/en/androi...hinhd.firefoxsyncplugin/FF-Sync-for-DolphinHD
I'd love some feedback on the new version 1.6 via email or the website.
BTW, you can get the daily builds of Firefox 4 Android at: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/nightly/latest-mozilla-central-android-r7/
I've noticed a couple of issues with my One X while browsing the internet.
1) on a couple of forums I use (Scienceforums.net being the main one) when I go to post a reply my keyboard won't use lowercase letters, and the site lags. Also the "auto correct" seems to work only when it feels like it.
I've tried downloading other keyboard like "hackers keyboard" and "swiftkey" but this makes the auto correct is even worse!
2) unlike the iPhone 4 I've prevy upgraded from when viewing websites in 'desktop' (my preferred view as I can access everything on the site) the One X can never seem to work out how to display the site correctly.
It's always got terrible justification, and often lags or glitches should i attempt to zoom in/out or try and line up the website manually on the screen so I can see all the content.
What causes this? And is there anthing I can do/upgrade/patch I can download?
Thanks
Cant say I've had any of those issues tbh, especially with the browser. Have you tried Tapatalk for the forums? That works great

I'll check that out, thanks. I've downloaded opera mini as well so.I'm.gonna see it browses better in that. because this is making me regret getting this phone to be honest.
And I don't want to do that as its such a good phone in other areas.
Had to share about this web browser to my fellow Nexus brotherns.
It incorporates all the different main highlighted features of other big named browsers into one and its simply awesome and to top it off..its free and fast.
Check it out in the Play Store, its called Next Browser and its from the Go Launcher Dev Team.

Just downloaded. Looks pretty nice... similar to the new Google scheme. I usually use Dolphin, but this looks very promising so far. Love that I can exit without hitting back twice.

Is not a bad browser , is fast and smooth but has way too many overwhelming features that are getting in your way...

I thought it was okay but couldnt really get excited so went back to Chrome. Glad you're liking it though

Just curious as to what? Only thing that's kinda annoying to me is when scrolling side to side on a site the extensions bar opens up I don't use extensions so being able to disable that window would be nice.

Rss feed news reader is totally unnecessary in a browser, useless extensions, tab switching is inconsistent , slide from left only and not from right, could be better like chrome, start up time is little slower ...no tablet support, no desktop and tablet sync... and ui could be little better-different ...

The news reader only opens if you swipe over to it and its built into one window..
A lot of people use extensions so that's why its there..but I myself don't use them and like I said above it would be nice to be able to disable the plugin window from opening up.
Not sure what you mean tab switching is bad seems pretty easy to me? Start up time seems fast to me? Can't comment on your other responses as I only have my Nexus.
This browser just did come out not long ago so I expect them to refine it more in future versions.

I still believe is very good browser ... but the only thing that i prefer from this browser over chrome for example is the smoothness of it and not the features that's trying to sell

It's not bad.
The extensions thing is annoying and wastes the right side swipe.
Tab switching is a little clunky. Chrome is better and smoother.
No full screen.
No tab sync
Nothing that improves chrome but a few things that are worse.
Oh and it FC when I press home button on one site I visit. Same as xscope. I think that site does something odd because it's the only one, however chrome has no issues with it.
... Uninstalled

Chrome is so much better than every other browser is not funny.
Some other browsers have one or two things that are cool though.

So the author of "chrome is garbage" is refuting my post for being subjective?
Of course it's subjective... I wrote it, is unlikely to be someone else's opinion.
There is only two things I can think of that chrome doesn't have.
Flash support. This is worthless to me but some people want it I guess.
Some sort of decent word wrap or page fit on resize. Not major but would be nice.
Tab, bookmark and history sync. Tab switching. Full screen. These me than make up for formatting for me.
If I wanted flash for some reason I would use aosp or this I guess. But I don't.
chrome eats a lot of memory though
it heats up the phone wtih constantly using
it LAGGS
there are many other browser, like mozilla(or many other),that are faster
don't believe me?just check the user reviews under the app in playstore
I personally use Opera. It's fast and I love it. With the new update they made, they literally remade the whole browser! Looks and feels better! =)

i think I'm the only one who finds the new opera mobile browser is garbage.i take chrome over that one..
i just stick with the old version opera mobile browser..12.1.4..better performance.dont understand why they change the layout & looks of it.. the old opera just works & well organized..
I have a new P605 tablet, and I am seeing problems running the Angry Birds games (Angry Birds, Angry Birds Friends, Star Wars II). The games seem to have problems when pulling back on the slingshot, almost like it's missing some notifications (slingshot seems to hang, re-touching the screen brings it back to life). Or sometimes it seems to get a release while aiming.
I don't think it's the multi-touch issues, as I've tried that test app, and I don't see anything (jittering, extra hits, etc).
Playing by the stylus seems perfect.(and, in fact, it seems a little easier that way, as it's more accurate for aiming).
Just wondering if anyone else has seen anything like it.
Thanks in advance!
Have The same issue but in the webbrowser, when i get a lag when scrolling The touch screen stop working and i need to lift my finger from the screen and re touch it, extreamly annoying.... Chrome and original browser... Testet touch apps för the screen but there it works flawless...?

I've seen that too, mainly on the Mazda forum I read (Chrome), but I don't see it reading this forum. Probably something to do with CPU load running scripts in the browser...
Yes it seems like some glitch from software and not hardware. ? I use tapatalk so i have no issue then, but when i use the Web browser i get it,

Hi, so this is a bit of an indirect question but coming here as an ex 5x owner. So on android 7.1 onwards, I think, in facebook web, not the app. if there was a video posted on the page in chrome, I could long press on the video and get the download option. I would then be able to download the video. I now have a htc u11 life running 8.0 android one, very stock. I cant download the videos on the facebook web page in chrome as i dont get the download option. Any ideas ? surely this cant be a nexus only option ? I may be missing something ?
Many thanks.

I know what you mean. I used it earlier too but then really suddenly the option was gone. I even don't know if i changed rom or Android Version. It was just gone somedays as i tried to download a video.
