I have been using the JB leak in the android development section, and I have recieved absolutely insane benchmark scores. I had no overclock. And multiple other apps running in the background and I got 5918 on a quadrant. Good god.

Too bad those scores don't accurately reflect the phones performance. Scrolling is laggy as hell when browsing.
CM10 has much much lower scores but is so much faster and smoother than the leaks. I'm hoping the final build of TW makes the gs3 fly just as well...

I agree. On my device, the TW rom out-performs CM10 (M2) in almost every way. Especially with Google Now, voice search, and battery life. I love CM10, but I have to give credit to Samsung on this one. Maybe its because they hired Steve Kondick.
I'm sure once they release their JB source, that will help a lot with custom ROMs.

Shouts out to slick_rick. This ROM is by far the best Jelly Bean ROM I have flashed to date. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1881046
It is very customize-able and is less buggy than previous versions of JB that I have flashed. I haven't ran into any bugs actually. Battery life is good everything works:
3G
4G
Wifi
SMS
MMS
Speakerphone (This wasn't working on the previous JB Cynagenmod 10 ROM)
Everything is smooth as butter
Swagger ( how cool is it to have this toggle on your phone, trust me SWAG always impresses the ladies)
GPS (This is Flawless, I got a lock on a stock ROM, then flashed first this might have helped)
Google Now (What is a Siri anyway?)
Apple Emojis (There is no app for it anything, but I can see android versions of the apple emojis on Instagram an messaging)
Well I hope I have helped, I am using this as my daily driver and loving it.

So my friend and I were comparing our phones he has an iPhone, and my phone would do everything faster his phone just did everything smoother, mostly we checked how games ran, his phone in game options ex: scrolling through options and upgrades was way more smooth and responsive while mine had hiccups, gameplay was the same though, but I'm curious why the iPhone is smoother scrolling even outside of its ui into games while my Hercules beats it in specs?

Its not only hardware that determines how smooth it scrolls but also the software
In my opinion the reason I think it scrolls better has to do with apples memory management because it manages ram more smoothly so that's probably why
Also did you install custom kernel on your device?
Because if you did there would be no way you would lose

the only thing that i could recommend is for you to try lightning zap rom
also overclock to the fullest and put in performance mode!!!!!

Lightening zap is a kernel. And as for performance once we officially get project butter everything should be fine then.

"The iPhone changed things by introducing a dedicated thread with high priority for handling UI rendering, redirecting all power (CPU and GPU) to handling UI element rendering in realtime based on touch input. The result? Smooth-as-butter UI elements, transitions and animations as soon as you touch the screen -- even on older hardware when paired with the latest iOS 5 software. The drawback: everything else, from app downloads to content rendering will pause so the UI can keep that high frame rate, high quality redraw pace."

The t989 is faster than the iPhone 4s. Geekbench 2 proves that. But in terms of smoothness the iPhone will ALWAYS win. It's just the way Android is designed. iOS sets resources aside for UI transitions and whatnot and that's why you NEVER see an iPhone stutter and spurt like Android does at times. Give Android another year or so and this issue will be a thing of the past. Unfortunately the only way to resolve this with Android is better hardware... but it's coming!

Even though ptmr3 said that adding the supercharge script was unnecessary I did it anyways just to ease my mind Lol I also added some of the battery saving mods from pmr...I keep my cpu set to ondemand/noop and slightly underclocked..and I am using the stock tw launcher ..
I think that some of the aosp ROMs out there may be slightly faster. but in my experiences they aren't as smooth as this one ..
Experiences may vary from phone to phone so there is no point in saying which ROM is better than the rest but I put my setup so someone can try it for themselves

well basically JB is the most stable ROM in my opinion that has the most support otherwise like ICS and GB don't have as much but i think that as soon as Ubuntu gets released the JB roms will be flowing like water but basically that also means that more roms will be smoother and remember that JB hasn't been officially released for our device so what there is currently is made by our awesome devs!
First off I would like to say no disrespect to others who have had scripts for overclocking the GPU for 3D and 2D graphics. After thoroughly dissecting the phone the 2D graphics never really get overclocked. If you check sys/devices/platform/kgsl0 or kgsl1 gpuclk files both will always say 200000000 the minimum. So the 2D part 228751000 from other scripts never really works. I found a way to keep it at max all the time 3D at 320000000 and 2D at 228751000 using int.d script . So for anybody who wants the GPU-OC script that really works try it out. Just flash and reboot that's it 2D will stay at 228751000 and 3D will stay at 320000000 at all times. Runs like a champ on my phone. You be the judge if you works for you or not.
What would be the way to remove this in the event it doesn't work or we don't like it. It's it compatible with all roms? What area the negatives of installing this?

I was just sitting here thinking that my battery had been draining much faster lately. Trying to connect the dots. Then I realized that I started noticing the decrease about the time I flashed this GPU over clock. So, hascanyone else noticed this? Also my phone gets hot as Sh*t while playing Dead Trigger... What are your thoughts? I have a 3800Mah battery. Running ASDEVS Galaxy S Bean v10.5 and hot cakez kernel. Slightly over clocked cpu but it always has been with no noticeable difference until recently..

Anything that overclocks... whether it be your processor or your gpu will get hotter because it takes more voltage which causes more heat. I just flashed this to check it out, but I would imagine the battery life is going to decrease since the clock speeds are going up. Speed comes at a price.
Just an update. I uninstalled the script and battery lasted about twice as long. Phone didn't burn my hand during Dead Trigger either.

So far I think staying stock is just as good as running a developed kernel for this particular ROM imho, especially when you want to get the most battery. I use SetCPu and will run min 486 and Max 1350/1404. SmartassV2 and Zen or cfq governors. I don't play many games on my phone, I have tablets for that and they are tweaked as high as I can go and be stable. It's all about what you use your phone for, most times when I benchmark it seems the higher frequency I push my score actually will get worse, might be I'm need to up my voltage, but I don't mess with voltages much. I will follow the developers guidelines for undervolting if I'm trying to squeeze that extra life, but I don't worry about it that much. Best way for me to extend my battery life is start turning things off when they're not needed. All the things I try with my devices I have learned by reading on the XDA forums, and by far the developers for our GS3's are the best and I'm very thankful for all they give up to give us these awesome roms, kernels, and not forgetting about the theme developers to make or phones run fast, operate smoothly, and look great. Without them might as well buy a fruit product, just kidding I would get a flip phone before I would do that. .... I am using Antutu Benchmark found at the play store for free
I am currently running the Infamous1.5 ROM based on android 4.1.2
with the Infamous kernel .7.4 by Jamison904
BTW... I have about 85 or so personal apps installed in this mod
I am also running the World Weather Clock Widget at the same time
and I am not running any kernel tweaking software...
here is my score...

a benchmark is basically a set of tests to see how fast your phone is running
here is the dictionary meaning...
bench·mark
/ˈbenCHˌmärk/
Noun
A standard or point of reference against which things may be compared or assessed.
Verb
Evaluate or check (something) by comparison with a standard: "we are benchmarking our performance against external criteria".
if you want to compare your device to others
go to playstore and download Antutu Benchmark and run it
I know my device would score low...I'm setup for stability and battery life.
Those with really high scores are tweaked for Max performance and probably carry an a/c charger in their pockets!

My buddies Nexus 4 scores around 20k with cm 10.1 and some random kernel. I can't wait to get rid of this thing and upgrade.
Also, I scores 3700 in Quadrant and around 9k in Antutu. Running stock CM 10.1.

That's great and all, but hardly surprising. It's about double in scores because it has double the cores. Personally for me this would have no positive effect on my phone usage, but I would have a worse camera and have to use an lcd screen.
Running 4.1.2, using the latest arc kernel!

Yea.. not for me. A much faster phone would be nice. The Nexus 4 is much faster and smoother on all fronts. I've had 3 t989s and the camera is absolutely nothing to write home about. Compared to an exynos powered GS2, the sensor on this camera sucks.. and don't say theyre the same because they are not. SAMOLED is awesome but outdoors it's a pile of sh*t.
Point is, to each their own.
