Android 4.1.2 OTA - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi everyone I've been patiently waiting for the 4.1.2 update on my nexus 7 and when I checked my phone an hour ago to read a text I got a notification to say that the update was ready for my yakju galaxy nexus in the UK.

do this please:
For the n00bs, please read entire post before attempting to update.
The links below are the original update URLs. That said, in case some of them have been pulled and the link is not working, oldblue910 has provided a mirror on his site: Random Phantasmagoria for the yakju/takju/mysid updates.
HOW TO HELP OTHERS
If you have received the OTA update notification, help everyone else out by posting the link. Here is how to do it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21025378&postcount=27
Or you can trying looking in the log files in /cache to see if you can see a file name ending in .zip.

I guess it will be months before yakjuxw gets the update via OTA.

We still need links for both the takju and yakju JZO54K from JRO03C OTA files. If anyone can provide the filenames, it'd be greatly appreciated!
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2

takju full ROM is already out:
https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/takju-jzo54k-factory-92830c0b.tgz
and Google just added the yakju version!
https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/yakju-jzo54k-factory-92ff9457.tgz
but still can't find the OTA file!

Yakju image just posted.
Cant post links, but is in the google factory image page.

Hoping the update reaches my unlocked GSM yakju Gnex soon. Want to go to sleep.

did you accept it yet? If you haven't accepted it yet, can we get a screenshot of the update screen?

not received it yet, i just tried the clear cache & stop google services framework trick, no luck... waiting impatiently.. :banghead:

How long does it take for them to roll out OTA.. can't believe it's taken nearly 3 days already, should i flash with yakju image on the image site? or wait... aarghhh

They haven't even announced that an OTA is rolling. The images and the OTAs dont have to go at the exact same time.

Sorry I'd already accepted the update before thinking about a screen shot or a link. But here is another one that shows some info.

That's very weird... why would you have the XXLF1 radio?
JK, so 4.1.2 has the XXLF1 radio, which is actually new, but just has the same name as the 4.1.1 radio. Weird.

wasn't the 4.0.4 radio XXLA2? starting with JB it became XXLF1

Yeah that's why i was confused. 4.0.4 was XXLA02, 4.1.1 was XXLF1, and 4.1.2 is XXLF1 also, but is actually built more recently and seems to be different from what I hear.

That's what it seems like. Well the build date is different, and the people ive talked to with it say its different. that's just anecdotal though. the differences cant be THAT big if its the same name.

I've just completed this. I too had that piece of garbage from Samsung. I've downloaded google official ITL41F files and flashed them through fastboot, manually by using these commands:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-maguro-primekj10.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-i9250xxkk1.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-yakju-itl41f.zip
The result ? The ROM is just about the same as before, nothing really changed. Anyway, I hope this helps.
LE: Oh, I forgot. The recovery is back to stock after this. Good to know.
I did the same thing as lambda30, worked fine.
Thank you so much. That was exactly what I was looking for. Flashed as yakju firmware after unlocking...then relocked all good. Now I'm on the Google wagon. Muuuch better.

It does make a difference as long as permissions were f**ked up and couldn't install Wallet. Other than that and the fact that there are a couple of dozen ring tones missing, probably no difference at all.

Sorry if I offended you in any way, I didn't meant for that. yakju and still no Wallet love ? Hmm. Did you get it like this, or installed from Google ICS official images ?
Oh you're fine we're on the same page now at least! I bought it from an importer in Chicago (where I live), and that's just how it was. No wallet stock, no wallet in the market. I was able to flash the wallet from the Themes and Apps forum, however.
The one thing I can say now that it totally different, is when the phone powers up it actually looks for an update, where before on the samsung variant it never did that in the beginning after it boots up. So that is prolly why the other build model hasn't gotten an update.
This thread will do it for you, quick and painless.

Aha. Dunno what's the problem (probably other build no. or such), but you could try the official Google ICS images if you want. It should work with those. Just do backup of current installation... I've found it the hard way on my Nexus S.

Same with me.
i'm on the "mysid" version(the one that is on the Verizon model) and i get the update message when i turn the phone on and i got the welcome to your galaxy nexus email from the android team a couple hours after i activated.
so i don't think that has anything to do with who updates the phone.

[Q] What was up with the IML62 build?

I've tried to find more info on the android 4.1 IML62 build. Was this scrapped?
There are screenshots from Verizon test phones from the beginning of december 2011 but nothing more. Was this update revised to "the" 4.0.2 update that came?
Yes I've searched the forum, but found no answer.

I came to XDA to post this question, if those phones came pre-loaded with JB 4.1.
They didn't come preloaded BUT Google said they will be prompted to upgrade to the Preview Jelly Bean update within minutes.
Okay, so it's almost pre loaded ;-)
Which is even better so we can just grab the zip and don't need to pack the ROM.

Never a good idea to accept an ota when rooted and rom'd. This is especially true if your ROM is JB and you accept an ICS ota. It is still fresh in the community's hands but rest assured anything of value from this small update will be integrated into community ROMS.

The official radio was posted on July 16 out of the FG01 by Sextape. Initially he didn't want to release the full FG01 so he just did the radio, but after a few days changed his mind and released the whole enchilada. So, if you head to that link you can grab just the radio if that is all you're interested in.
no one should be including radios in roms.
and there was a cwm flashable zip of the radios made teh day they leaked
Is there any advantage to flashing that radio? I'm on the jellin Rom, with fd02 radio.

God know how many times I pressed the check now button ... But still no update here. I'm from Georgia (country) and I'm running yakju/maguro:4.1.2/JZO54K
anybody tried this trick ?
Connect to WiFi. If you don’t automatically see the OTA update notification, go Apps > All > Google Services Framework. Clear the data cache then force stop the application. Go back to your homescreen and wait for at least 2 minutes.
Open up the dialer and type: *#*#2432546#*#*
It should say it’s checked in succesfully. Make sure you’re connected to WiFi or this won’t work. Leave the phone for around another 1-2 minutes. If you see data activity, that’s a good sign.
Go back to Settings > About > System Update and check if the 4.1.1 OTA update is downloading

that helped me to get 4.1.1 ota couple of month ago. It doesn't work form me this time, but you might want to try that
