My physical keyboard

So im sure its posted somewhere on the forms in the cyanogenmod 7 , when I press certain keys on my slide out keypad it takes me elsewhere examples b will pull up my browser,e does my email set up, and s takes me to my SMS lists probably goin to go back to 2.2. If I can't figure it out, at one point it was okay yesterday then it came back so im thinking its a background program and when I reboot it starts up

Maybe try a full wipe and clear dalvik then a fresh flash? I'm not sure as that's never happened to me

This happens to me every now and again. Exp - Ill press the "7" button and get "9" as an out put. I usually just reboot the phone and everything is fine.

ALL you have to do is press the search button, i dont know about the capacitive one but i usually do the hardware one (its closer and im not sure if the other one works) and start typing and everything will be fine!

This has been covered extensively, it's the Quick Launch function. If you don't use it, go into Settings/Applications/Quick Launch and turn off all the key mappings there.

[Q] My wife's noitification led

My wife has a Wildfire S and its stock, but the notification led keeps flashing when the screen is off. the only weird thing that i did to her phone was install handicent SMS and SMSAwake to wake the phone when she gets a message ala iPhone which she just moved from. Does anyone have any ideas as to where to start looking? TIA
What color is it flashing?

It's flashing green like there is a message/email whatever. When she checks it there is nothing there.
That's odd the only thing I can suggest is removing handset and the SMS awake thing then reboot to see if it stops.

Well, it appears that it was just SMSAwake. I removed it and the LED stopped flashing randomly

Volume Control Issue

not a major issue but an annoyance, my handset has started putting it's self from vibrate to silent all on its own, happens randomly even did it now whilst I was browsing the forum, I didn't press any buttons either.
This only seems to have happened after HTC released the first update to unbranded phones.
Has anyone else come across this?

To add to this it seems to happen when the the wifi connection or mobile connection is lost

I'm assuming no one else has had this issue? Can't see any mention of it, if I get time tomorrow I will contact HTC

Phone vibrates and won't boot

So I was listening to music on my phone with slim bean and it fell behind the bed and when I found it all it does is say Samsung and vibrate in a consistent pattern. Also if I remove the battery and put it back in it vibrates as soon as battery/charger is connected. Does this mean it somehow got in bootloader mode? If so is their a way to get it out without my PC? I tried getting into twrp but. No avail.

These is a similar thread floating around here where people have had this issue when using Pandora. See if you can search for it.

Thank you, I fell into a noob panic. Thanks for calming me down lol. Looks like I may have a power button issue on my hands

No problem. I knew there was something on it but didn't know the details. People have also had a similar problem with Pandora. Don't know if that's what you were listening to, but there seems there's a problem with Pandora and the latest roms.

I was listening to music from my SD card. I got it to boot
But I didn't have the similar in and when I rebooted it it did the same thing. Also got it to load the tarp splash and it rebooted then and I can see the screen flicker like it was booting and the power button was pressed. Looks like I'm going to have to send it off. Hope I can get it replaced for free if not I'm gonna look at a different phone.

Galaxy nexus issues turning on

so i had a gnex with a busted usb port. i was using my moms gnex battery in the meantime to send a few important tests before i went off the air, and then i got a HTC One (which is awesome btw) to replace it, but when i got the usb pcb to replace the busted one, i replaced it all and triple checked all connections before putting phone back together.
Basically the problem is this. power button wont do anything. the battery i have i know has a 50% charge on it. I tried the pull battery put in usb put in battery trick and that gets me to the charging logo for about 15 seconds and then the phone turns off.
Do i have a bricked phone?
any ideas?

nothing. dead as a doorknob. only thing that works is the battery short thing with the USB. but still only 15 second cycle then turn off.
