Wondering what settings your running on ktweaker for this kernel and its effect on stability, performance, and battery.
SCREENIES ENCOURAGED!
Is it just me or is the battery on this kernel not that great when on power save option?

SGS3 aokp jb, d2att 3.9.12 by task 650+ktoonsez kt747 kernel
Here are my ktweaker settings, I get plenty of batter on this for what I do in a day but y'all may vary..if you feel you need more I would set it up as follows
Min-96
Max-1350
I/o-sio
Gov-ktoonservative
This was recommended by ktoonsez himself as a good all around performance and battery set up
You also could probably under volt with these settings by about 10
Also make sure that your system performance settings match your ktweaker setting bcuz if not your phone will become hot and unstable! A lot of times will reeboot itself...
Hope this helps if it does please give me a thanks!

I have tried all too and I find there is virtually no difference when I'm using either AOKP, Black Ice or DroidTh3ory's roms (yes I know they are all essentially the same!). My favorites are IMO's and Franco's kernels due to their smoothness and color options.
Leankernel for sure.

Kenerl Options As Well?
For those suggesting what kernel they think is best, would it be good to include what options you have configured that lead you to the battery savings?
+1 for leankernel, but certainly not v2.5.0 from March. 4.2.0 instead.
Air kernel has literally doubled my battery life compared to all other kernels on jb. With it I get the battery life is was with ics. 1200 max 234 min smartass2 governor sio scheduler

I've been using the latest James Bond kernel for 4.1.1 and get around 3 hours of screen time and haven't really got to test the full standby time. I was at 22 hours of standby this morning with 77% battery left. I have my CPU set at 1.2ghz with the interactive governor and have been using the cfq scheduler (default setup). I think I'm going to give that air kernel a go and see if I can get better performance.

Bad install, make sure you get the right version. Flash your rom first, then the kernel. Wipe Cache, Dalvik and Fix permissions. KT747 is compatible with AOSP roms so make sure you download that one. After that you should be fine.
Cm10 is aosp(android open source project), so you want the kt747 kernel titled "aosp jellybean"
For problem free install:
1. Install ROM from clean wipe(wipe cache,davlik, format/system)
2flash kernel of choice
3wipe davlik,cache, and fix permissions.
If after all these it doesn't work check base of ROM if base is before 10/14 it isn't compatible with kt747 latest you will then need 10/9 kernel. As stated by ktoonsez some phone will not accept his kernel even if the ROM does, this is a known fact. Good luck with your flash.

Kt747 is good, although the black screen aosp bug is rather annoying. Lean kernel just didn't have the same wide variety I have come to know and love with kt747's governors and schedulers. Not to mention voltage control and all the extras.

Ah I see. I guess I need to do a little bit more research! The most I know about is really undervolting with setcpu. Thanks
Lean kernel is very good if you just want to have a lower min freq and save battery.
This thread came up at just the right time. Flashed CM10 stable last night and am running on Lean. Big difference before and after! :good:
I'm using liquid smooth room and lean kernel ..
No undervolt, no underclock ..Heavy usage - ive been watching movies and browsing my phone - facebook, flipboard, some browsing, searching craigslist etc I can easily get six hours of screen on time - usually i'm happy if I get 4:30hrs ..
How'd u do it? I used to use that ROM and the lean kernel that came with it but it kept maxing out to 1900mhz. Even if I tried to set the min.max with set on boot. My battery life wasn't that great. Could u let me know how you set it up?

I did a wipe before install - system restore..install the rom and then the kernel... I didn't do much, just charged up my phone and let the magic work.
No worries about setting min and max.. I did not change those .. ill be sticking with this combination for awhile..

I haven't seen any posts about the stock kernel on inc 2.
I just recently rooted and s-off'd, and installed PAC rom which has LOTS of options and customizations including overclock. But I didn't flash a new kernel yet and was wondering if anyone has recommended cpu settings for the stock kernel, making sure it's stable. I've only been testing for a day but I've found 1.2ghz to be stable and I'm going to continue to increase it until it becomes unstable.
Usually 1.4 is nice, with vr or sio or bfq and smartassv2 is good

How's battery life with this?
i have evervolv kernel ,working with 1.7GHZ
my inc 2 work with 1.7Ghz no panic,no rebooting
Stable OC
I've had good success with 1400MHz Max. with SmartassV2. and 768MHz Min. I've used these settings with several different ROMs and various Kernels. They always seem to provide stablity, decent performance and only a minor hit to battery life.
