I am not sure if the DINC2 supports Keyboard or Mice... Has this ever worked before, and if so, did you go to a different ROM?
Anyone, feel free to correct me if I am wrong about the support thing.

[Q] Help! Rhodium100 charging but no connection to PC

Hello guys!
I am noob right now. I just bought an used rhodium100 and I am trying to install a new rom on it. It has a different language, one that I do not understand.
So I read and read, and I download HardSPL app, RUU, and I wanna get it going when I realize that my phone is not recognized by my computer, nor by a laptop of a friend (both using windows 7). So my question is:
Can it be something wrong software wise that does not allow to connect to the PC or is a hardware thing for sure?

Are you plugging it in while in bootloader mode, or while in WinMo? Bootloader mode = tri-color screen where you flash.
Honestly, I would flash via SD. Much easier, no need to worry about drivers or any of that nonsense.
Thanks dude for that quick response.
I tried in both ways. As I said, I tried not to be a complete total noob and I read and read.
I tried to flash it via SD card, but I guess the previous owner did not HardSPL it, so when I reboot it in bootloader, it just goes to the screen "Loading..." and it freezes. I've let it over night but it just drained the battery and no progress.
Any other idea?

You should be able to HSPL from the SD. You just can't revert HSPL from SD.
Also, you can tell at the tri-color screen if it's unlocked or not - if you see anything about OliNix, it's unlocked.
well, there was nothing about olinix. So it's not unlocked. Can you tell me how to HSPL it from the sd? Can I then install the ROM via sd card? I do not need to revert the spl.

It's on that thread. You basically flash HSPL with SD. I could be mistaken, and you can only relock with SD? I can't remember. If I recall correctly, you can only go one-way with flashing via SD....

You should be able to change the language, but I would sort out why you can't flash. That's pretty crippling and IMHO makes a useless device.

Come on dude! Please can you tell me how to change the language? any cab file... or how? at least until I can find out if the usb or whatever can be fixed...
Sorry for my dumb joke
I do not have any clue how to fix your problem, it might be a software related, a cable issue or even the MB/connector could fail.
You could translate the rom using a cab file, but this isn't easy and requires a lot of resources and knowledge.

Thanks!

XDAndroid is completely different. Please don't mix issues here - Android questions go in Android section, preferably in the build thread you're using. That probably does rule out a hardware issue with the USB port on the phone tho.
I would ensure that you guys have the right setup for flashing. Make sure you try different USB ports, different cables, etc. Triage.

I understand that. I just said that the connectors are OK. Working. If android can connect so should original ROM load, or at least that's what I think it should.
I just hate that neither in active synch nor in bootloader mode can't connect it. Is there any program that facilitates the connection?

Nothing shows up in Device Manager? Have you tried looking at hidden devices? I've never really had a problem with the computer detecting it.
nothing shows up. Just like it was never or is never connected.
I am running now xdandroid. at least I understand the language.
But I would like the windows mobile OS because I have some programs that only run on it.
Well... is there any way to fully delete the memory? the ROM memory? wipe it clean?
It may help I think... :-?

Hi all, I recently bought this tablet as well and I'm quite happy with it except for the fact that I don't have root permissions too.
I tried with SuperOneClick v.2.3.3.0 software but it didn't work as it makes few steps and then it hang as it waits for the device; and yes, USB debugging mode was enabled.
As the majority of the Android devices, if you turn on the device by holding the power button AND the volume key up or down - can't remember which one right now - you can access the recovery boot. Here the options are just 4 and you have 10 seconds to select one of them with the volume rocker.
I managed to start up the pad in Safe Mode (it is written on the bottom left of the screen) but I haven't tried to root it from there.
I'm unsure what the other options stand for and the only other I tried, showed a picture of android and an exclamation mark on a red triangle, I guess it's related to the root permission missing.
Any suggestion on how to root this device would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I don't have this cable but have you tried using a non-brand cable with this tablet?
It is my plan to buy a compatible USB OTG cable, I guess it should work fine although not from Asus...at least this is my understanding from a review that I found:
"...The MeMO ME301T has a micro USB port that you'll use for charging with the included 5v 2 amp charger and for USB peripherals with a USB host OTG cable (not included). We tested the USB port with USB flash drives, hard drives and USB game controllers like the XBOX PC controller and a Logitech controller. Portable hard drives didn't get consistently adequate power from the port, but hard drives with external power supplies worked, including NTFS drives. ..."
The source is here: mobiletechreview.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=44326 (can't yet post external links so just copy & paste it in the browser URL field)
Hope this can help, it would great if you can share your experience about this, shall you have the opportunity to test it. :fingers-crossed:
Rooting with Motochopper
I can confirm that Motochopper gives me root access with the filemanager.
I can also confirm that Motochopper roots the same tablet (still running 4.1.1 on mine). Many thanks.

Hi GHBLoos, thanks a lot for your suggestion and along with GenghisKhan67 for your confirmations!
I just tried and it worked perfectly!! :highfive: :highfive: I'm running v.4.1.1 as well.
Let's see if Asus next update to 4.2 will affect the root permission... fingers crossed it won't! :fingers-crossed:
Thanks again to both!
Trying this on my fully updated me301t as soon as I get home!
Edit, I'm running 4.1.1 and am now rooted using motochopper! After updating to 4.2.1 I lost root and even ota root keeper couldn't restore it. But motochopper rooted it again successfully.

How did you update to 4.2.1? Did you receive the update from Asus or did you use another mod?

I got it straight from Asus, I checked for updated before I rooted and there were none available. Then rooted and it told me I had updates available.
So I did the Voodoo ota root keeper install, installed the update, but couldn't recover root. So I just re-ran the root script and boom was rooted on 4.2.1

You should be able to run adb directly from the directory that contains motochopper.
Run
adb usb
Which will stay the daemon, then
adb devices
To see if it detected your tablet, I had to hit enter (or maybe a cntl-c) once during the 4.1.1 root to get it to continue on from starting the daemon to actually rooting. But that was in my mac.
If your tablet is identified in adb you should be good to go.
I know that doesn't really answer your question, but worth seeing if it detects it, because if it does you have the drivers needed.

USB host for desire hd?

Hello,
I just bought a On-The-Go USB memory stick and I'd like to see if I can use it on my Desire HD to transfer files, music, etc...
After doing some searching and a bit of reading, I found u need USB host mode drivers.
Currently I have CM11 BR4 rom, am S-Off, and my recovery is TWRP 2.7.10.
Anyone has any input on this?

Thx. Too bad the rom you mentioned has been discontinued.
And I am happy with the current rom I have to switch to another one at the moment just to get the USB host option.

Touchscreen ruined, can't access files

So, I have a rooted, unlocked Nexus 7 4G 2013 with TWRP flashed. I did however drop it on the floor earlier today, which made the screen crack and the touchscreen completely unresponsive.
This is all covered in my insurance, so it's not like I'm trying to fix it. I do however need some of the files in it, but since I had a password lock on the startpage, I have no way of getting through it with my touchscreen broken.
So I was wondering if it was possible to remove the lockscreen without doing a wipe that'll delete all my files, or if there's another way to mount the device as a USB drive so I can fetch my files.
Thanks a lot for taking time and reading this far, and thanks in advance for all suggestions.
