hey question. miui has a rom for the dinc s but i read somewhere that the incredible s is the international version of the incredible 2 so would i be able to flash this?
Yes it's the international version but I believe it has a different radio in it so it may not work in the Inc2. Why do you want to flash this ROM instead of the Miui ROM that's out for the Inc2?

I check the development forum every time I am free, seriously. I don't flash as often, but when a new ROM gets updated, i download it and consider whether I want to reconfigure my phone or not. I like to change the layout of my home screen everytime I flash.
I've slowed down quite a bit, and very rarely mess with the sense roms (other than Nits new Sense 4 rom), but I do flash all the new updates to CM9, and had been with Aokp.
I will admit though, I do check daily for any and all new roms, and always look at the thread. I think once we get official Ics/Sense 3.6-4 there will be more roms to flash once again
I really like the sense 4 rom but its not quite a daily driver for me yet, but even when I do run other sense roms I always go back to cm.

I also find myself checking xda way too often.

I don't always flash an ass ton of roms, but when I do, I prefer aeroevan.
That is hilarious, I will have to to look at that again tomorrow while I am at work to distract me from hating my horrible job.

Haha. You know we extra friendly.
OP. If you are running cm7 then you flashed it on your phone via recovery. It is the same process just flash in recovery. If you are doing UKB it opens aroma installer. Just follow the steps.

But thing is that I would have to go to downgrade to 2.3.4 or 2.3.3. What would happen if I get out of cm7? How could I? So that u could do the process. I didn't flash it, I installed cm7 to my phone so I could reboot anytime. When I delete it would my.phone go back to the sstock dinc2 rom?

No, if you install a custom ROM it'll do what you want it too.
Sent from my KangBang'd out vivow
What do you mean? I have tried to install so many Roms but my done wouldn't boot up.correctly and would stay at the Htc start up for a long time about ten minutes so I just restored my backup.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda app-developers app
Are you s-off or just htc-dev unlock? That will make a big difference and maybe why your having problems.
I am only HTC dev unlocked and ne'er to do the s-off to get the leaked rom workin. But the cm7 gets it to 2.3.7 but I think I need to downgrade. To get the s-off. I have a Mac though but I can use my friend's pc

You don't need to downgrade unless you're hboot is the wrong version.

Well then yeah, you'd need to downgrade the hboot to s-off. It isn't anything about the android version. Restore to your stock backup if you made one and relock and downgrade/s-off.
Sent from my KangBang'd out vivow
I would need to do that? But I don't.have my stock back from the original sense software. What would I need to downgrade the hboot to?

Look for the thread in the development section about downgrading. Also, you'll have to flash a stock ruu

Would it be possible on a Mac?
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda app-developers app
I understand the limitations but I've seen phones such as the incredible one with the Evo and the G1 with its magic and hero counterparts.
Anyone care to give an explanaition?
Im asking this because since the vivo got their share of ics, why can't we at least port it and losing all the radios if that's what's causing the trouble And I doubt its the bootloader because we have S-Off.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda app-developers app
Take a look at this Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1745483). It's a port from vivo for their ics update and this Rom is a port from a different base but still ics (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953899)
Oh so I was wrong
I actually like the viper ROM
But my question came about because we have no sources while the vivo guys do

Is anyone else having problems with GPS on Ascension Oblivion?
If you read the threads, you'd know it's known by the developers and can't be fixed in the ROM. It's in the kernel
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Thank you for your response. I actually keep pretty up to date on all the inc 2 threads. Must have missed the part about GPS. Thank you for pointing it out.
Sent from my HTC Incredible 2 using xda premium
I am going to try and look at that soon. I may start building again tonight or tomorrow night. Hopefully I can see what Mac was talking about: GPS module looking at the wrong hboot...
Awesome...I've been using your kernel on viper for a while and its been working great. Thank you for all your work! It's definitely appreciated.

Gave it another shot but still no luck on my side. Using the 311 kernel, too.
Edit: You can ignore this. I must have dorked something up before. Reflashed everything and its working now.
