Just got the Galaxy S3 from AT&T and pretty happy with it. However, I need to encrypt the file system but don't want to deal with a tiny keyboard everytime I want to get past the lock screen. In a perfect world I could encrypt it with a password but retain the PIN unlock screen. I would settle for just PIN for encryption and lock screen. Unfortuntely I am stuck with a password to unlock it and this is just not going to cut it.
Any ideas on how to encrypt the filesytem and retain PIN unlock?

I've seen several different post about the patching or downloading already patched email.apk's that disable the exchange security policies. I didn't find on in this Sprint Note II part though. So I was wondering if anyone might be working on, already have one or can link me to one that they know works for this phone. The security policy that is on the phone now prevents me from using the removable storage and that's pretty annoying. Plus I don't think someone should be able to wipe my phone when they don't even pay for it. But that's a whole other subject. Thanks for any of your help and sorry if there was already a post for this in this section. I didn't see one but I could also be going blind.

This is an older post, but I just got my Note II and I am looking for the same answer.
Is there anyway to bypass the exchange security policies?
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if someone knew of any solutions to my problem. There's a bar of light going from the top right of my screen to the bottom left. Its only noticeable because its a slightly brighter shade than the rest of the screen.
There's also seems like some of the pixels are bleeding... To say the least.
Ie, when the browser bar loads its not a clean straight line, the pixels look like they bleed towards the bottom of the screen.
There has been no phone dropping and the phone hasn't had any problems if that helps narrow it down. Thanks in advance.

anyone?????????
Today I had to replace the glass on my ATT Galaxy S3. To my suprise I successfully did it. When I opened it up though I noticed that on the inside was my button strip. On the button strip it said "Galaxy i9300" I just thought it was odd that it said that. Does anyone know if they use parts from the International version on every phone?

Yes, most parts are interchangeable...not all
