[Q] Seeking Asian language ROM ....

hello
just recently received an EVO 4G, tried few ROMs, but it seems like most ROMs don't have Asian languages included ?
is there any sense 3.5 ROM that include Asian languages ?

Search if you can find the first versions of FEARMEde or Mikmik's port. They used to have all languages. If you don't see them, try with any Locale changer app or grab apps from any Desire HD rom (just be careful with system-dependent apps)

Give miui a shot. On the website you can download in multiple languages. Chinese being the primary.

Just fyi... no 4g on MIUI or sense 3.5, Idk if that's important to you or not just thought I'd share

in my area, I don't even touch that 4G switch
back to topic, I tried both, still no luck ..... I'm hunting the language pack atm . seems like most new ROMs only contain the English , sigh ....

Do you mean Chinese, Japanese, Korean or something else?
I've plenty of roms support Chinese and English, or Chinese only. Tell me if that is what you need.

just installed FEARMEde ROM, and it does include the language I need
after almost 10 ROMs finally
and I don't think its good idea post Chinese on English speaking forum

Hi, brother beyond the strait, there're forums in the mainland with numerous developers, you can easily find one with google.
Diypda for one, is highly recommended.

Probably your best bet is to wait for a cm10 build with language translations. This is a us variant of the galaxy sii so night a huge demand for languages other than English and Spanish.

Besides the fact that demands and wants don't generally 'round up support to cater to your desires..
You can always learn and build it if that's really important to you.

I want to win the lottery, but that isn't happening so...

For stock, I have heard of apps that can switch the language even if not listed as available. You'll need to search around and see if one is available in Arabic. Otherwise you'll have to wait for an AOSP build that supports it.

Try Rosetta Stone demanding one.

ok.. I have seen this thread today and I'm ashamed. The spirit of XDA is to be helpful. I believe if you don't have anything helpful to say,than don't say anything.As for the people in the thread asking for Arabic...Please try and help yourselves also. I searched(arabic language suppoert for e4gt) and got back over 12,000 results. I believe XDA is here to help,but you must try to help yourself first. I'm not trying to flame anybody, but for this thread to be here for a year and no help is beyond me...Again to the thread op...Read...Read...Read..That is how you will learn and I bet if you find the solution yourself. You will be more likely to remember it as well as feel good that you were able to accomplish it.Ok.. enough out of me...lol. In the following link you will find a mod(not for our phone specifically) but it has post from members that had it work on the e4gt. So with that said...Remember to give thanks to the links op and those that helped on that mod..Hope this helps..If not,send me a message and I will try to help as much as time allows. Well a solution was posted before. While it is in the spirit of xda for people to help, like you said sometimes it means helping yourself. Such as this case. Most members of this section have no need for an arabic language. I have yet to see an arabic language on this phone. There may be something out there. But a majority of use dont need it so we wouldn't go looking for it. If the op needs it he needs to find a way to put it in. Thank you for the link you posted. I assume you needed it for yourself or someone else before. He typed in all caps in a way that seemed like he was entitled to having everyone searching for him. Thats not what xda is about. Again thank you for this link. And op if you want something and don't see it google it. I am sure there is a way to put whatever you want into any rom. If you had a specific question like "does any one know how to install an arabic language? I have the files needed because I have searched and found them. Just need to know where to put them." I am sure lots of people would be able to direct the op.

Sorry didnt see that post for the solution.. And I agree, the all CAPS was unneeded...Im hoping the post I dropped in their lap will end the need for this thread. I didnt need the mod for this myself, just seen it and read it,clicked links, and thought maybe the link I posted would be more help for them. Thanks

Just play more with your phone, you will understand later all thing, for now play more with your rom, you will experiment, then, try to build a kernel , and, programming language isn't like english, french or italian , you cannot study it.

to make a rom you dont need to make your own kernel. start simple.

Yeah , but he has talked of language of programming, btw, start playing with rom's , with time you will say "why not port/mod a rom?" And then , and only then you will try following tutorial, you will take confidence with logcat excetera, and next you may say "why not a port from armv7" or "why not build from source?" or also "Why don't start a big project?" At that time, you can say that you understand a bit of rom's, but all have to be gradual, step by step, experience is the best teacher

Hello! Later when I bought my phone I had a very good ROM but I did change it even if I want it again.
The mod was with HTC Sense 3.5, Android version 2.3.5 and on boot it had moving rhombs(purple)

Well, seems like u aren't getting any...
The rom u used before may have been updated and the animations u speak of may have been replaced.. try something new, than ranting about an answer... there so many sense/ non-sense roms... waiting for... go ahead and try them...

I am new at this forum, and a new user of captivate glide.
I am living in the Netherlands and have an AT&T glide wich i can use on T-Mobile in the Netherlands, so i think it is simlock free.
so here is my question, how can i update my glide because in kies i get the message there is no updat for PDA:KI3/PHONE:KL1/CSC:KI3(ATT)
i read several thing on this side for days now, but i am a simple no user and know nothing about rooting/flashing/efs/ etc.
so i think i bought my Phone simlock free and know nothing else, is there a step by step thread for me, because i can not find it.
would like help.
