Hello There,
Anyone using google wallet on Samsung galaxy s2 T-mobile US version? A while ago, there was an XDA thread which concluded that it is not possible, but I kept my hopes thinking that this will some how be possible. Now that I am seeing other threads about the possibility of this for SG3, is there a way to make this work on SG2?
By the way, I am currently running V9 Jedi Mind Trick ROM.
No way impossible.
If someone were to figure it out it would most likely be very illegal imo.

Google Wallet will never work on T-Mobile Galaxy S2. Stop asking. There is a hardware layer required for the chip to work with Google Wallet. Some type of encryption that we can't really duplicate with just software.

How can there NOT be a leak out there for our AT&T SGS3's that is JB 4.1.1 ?????
Come on people, I know someone out there has to have something up there sleeve they're not sharing ..
PLEASE
Share with us :fingers-crossed:
It does seem odd considering there has been two leaks on sammobile for Bell but yet nothing for AT&T....
For once Canada gets something first/cheaper/better!
They probably fired the person who was "leaking" them for at&t....

Last I heard .. they have to get some sort of "permission" to release a leak !!!! Whatever the f*** that suppose to mean.
The Bell leaks work fine on AT&T phones.
I'm with you OP. Every time I check the forum I'm hoping to see a leaked thread for the att version. Hopefully soon

Yes, I think people are forgetting they are the same device. And they can always just flash their AT&T modem if they want
Just curious (and may be a stupid question, I'm new to this) , why wait for this when there are custom JB roms?

Because for some reason they think an att build would work better then a bell or Rogers one. When in reality its the same device minus the baseband and buildprop.

Are some of the at&t wifi hotspots only open to at&t users? If so I imagine that wouldn't work on a different carrier's leak (unless the certs or whatever were copied).
Whenever I ran a Canadian leak based ROM on my Skyrocket, things like Google search would default to Google.ca, which was annoying. I probably could've fixed that but never got around to it.

Yes you're correct, that issue is easily fixable. A free app from the Play Store called MoreLocale 2 would have fixed that issue in 5 seconds.
is there a link to that bell OTA? And how exactly do we install it?
What is the best way to manage and stop unwanted permission on note 2? Privacy /permission management app is notoriously phone dependent and I like to know which one works well for note 2.
I had one on my atrix call pridorid or something like that. It could block PR send fake info to apps that is asking for data that is none of it's business. Unfortunately that all is pre installed on a custom rom and cannot be easily added.

You're likely referring to PDroid 2.0. It's still around and I think I saw a thread somewhere on XDA that it was recently ported to the Verizon SG3. I am still running non-rooted stock on my GN2, but you could always apply the PDroid patches to a deodexed ROM in the development section here and see if it works.
Edited to note that they are actively working on porting PDroid to 4.2 ROMs ....
I know they've ported multiview to the s3 and i know samsung even released an update to some models of the s3 with multiview. Is there a reliable version available for the att galaxy s3? I've searched and i see a couple of roms with it available but i'm not too sure if they're something for a daily rom.
I'm hoping to find something that is completely stock with multiview.
Thanks
stock rom(non-root) US Models of S3 will not get multi-views feature.
they said because we're on duo core if i remember correctly
although if you root your phone, there are a few roms that have multi-views like synergy,
edit: there're also MOD to add multi-views for your phone too, if you don't like those multi-views roms

i've heard good things about the Synergy ROM. read up on that one. there are 2 things that are still pretty new to the S3 scene. one is 4.2 and the other is mulitview, so take that into consideration as you explore/test different ROMs. cheers

This is what the original poster was asking about. I want to know about the actual method of doing this on a rooted device with a stock ROM.
Synergy ADM galaxy mod are the two for at&t but are still in their infancy right now and not ready as a daily driver ROM IMO.
You can't just add multiview to a ROM though. You can add flashbar but that's about it. 4.1.2 has not come to the north american gsiii.
If you try synergy be sure to make a back up and read the thread well.

is there any doc available on Tmobile website, which show us how far we are getting the S3 updates? or what updates are lined-up?
Heard about the premium suite months ago, never heard anything officially from Tmobile that when we officially will get that update.
Now other devs are working to port the S4 apps.
is there any info that devs are working to port the premium suit to port from international s3 to t999?
thanks,

At this time there is no word for the 4.1.2 JB update from T-Mobile. As of now Verizon, Sprint and MetroPCS got 4.1.2 without Premium Suite built in, so I don't expect it for T-Mobile. Just my opinion T-Mobile may skip 4.1.2 and go straight to 4.2.X, again just my guess.
As much as I want to see this phone get 4.2.x, We most likely will never see it from T-Mobile.
|When Emotion Goes Up, Logic Goes Down|
|Even If You Fall Face First You're Still Moving Forward|
We will see the 4.2x update from tmobile but you're gonna have to wait a long time for it. As premium suit I think thats going to be related to the hardware. Maybe thats why none us s3 have it.. So far the only S3 that have premium suit are the quad-core version which means only the international version
If you root your phone and go to the original development section, there are a few 4.2.2 custom roms to choose from. I've been using rootbox 4.2.2 as my daily driver for quite a while. Why wait when it's only a few steps away?

I'm sorry but that reason is so overrated and overused. Its like saying if you want the latest updates buy a nexus. Some people don't like rooting their phones. Some people don't like aosp and like tw features. Before someone
Says it. Sure there are apps that can be substituted but its not the same. Yes ive ran rootbox and it is awesome but I then end up actually finding a bug that kills it for me. I've tried aokp but Kasper left. I've rooted every phone I've had and this is the first after rooting it and returning to stock that is rather keep stock everything. I'd rather wait for an update. But that's just me.

That's another one I've heard use. Because I can. I get updated info on updates, leaks, if I have issues I usually find answers here than any other place. I can help others out with issues I've ran into before. Phones and tech are my hobby sort of. I've been using xda since I've owed a my touch 3g. I used to be a flashaholic up until I got this phone. I've rooted every phone and flashed ROMs on all of them. My choice is not forced upon you as yours shouldn't be forced on someone else. I know you most likely suggested rooti ng but the op question a appeared to be asking about stock updates. I know words online can't be taken at face value compared to speaking face to face but I don't mean any disrespect. Just stating my opinion about your comment.

Seriously though, if you want 4.22 flash the latest cm nightly. I'm using it for work. No battery pulls/glitches.

Does it not piss anyone else off that the Samsung galaxy s3 for AT&T still hasn't gotten 4.1.2 or even any news on it. The galaxy s2 even got the update for AT&T, so how is it not yet out for the s3.
It's very annoying indeed. However, there's plenty of custom touchwiz roms with 4.1.2 features and they're debloated.

Yes it does.
Did you call, email, or contact them in any way to let them know of your displeasure?
They don't read these forums. If you're unhappy, you need to let THEM know. I did - and if enough paying customers threatened to go elsewhere, they'd pay more attention.

Yea I spoke to them, but they kept giving me the BS that they were waiting for bug fixes for the sgs4 to be fixed. Theyre 2 different devices, so why does that affect the s3's update?
One thing at a time,I guess. And if it bothers you that much, maybe look at the nexus line of phones
the only way i can sleep at night is hoping their just skipping str8 to 4.2.2

Because they probably only have one software team, and only work on one Samsung device (or just one device - period) at a time.
How to get the Samsung 4.1.2 update:
1. Root your phone with chainfire's CF autoroot method.
2. Install chainfire's app Mobile Odin from the play store.
3. Download the T Mobile T999 update from samsung-updates.com.
4. Flash everything from the update EXCEPT the modem.
Enjoy the 4.1.2 goodness...

Yeah, I've seen that one. My response was aimed toward the most "stock" experience. Not everyone wants deodexed/busybox/toggle mod/etc...
Personally I'm using the tmo rom, with the T-Mobile bloat uninstalled, Google keyboard, and aosp mail.
how to flash the system without the modem ? because the download rom is one part
I read some where yesterday the reason for the delay of the galaxy s3 and note update is because a new touchwiz is being developed and is supposed to bring us up to 4.2.2.. Time will tell there is alot of B.S. on the internet as we all know.

Samsung released 4.1.2 to the carriers awhile back and all the carriers but AT&T have completed testing and pushed it out. The delay is entirely on AT&T's side at this point.
