In the app drawer, select menu, show hidden apps, check the box and hit done. I found out about it myself, no need to open a thread about it

I couldn't find it either - it turns out that the "Show hidden applications" option is hidden.
Thanks for the help!
Hey, I couldn't see it either... This was driving me NUTZ... Was using the workaround of going to the Play store, viewing my installed apps, and starting the desired (hidden) app from there. Sheesh.... And YES, good thing you started a thread so it would be easily findable...
Solution-- on such menus, Samsung/Android need to have a scroll bar along edge to show how far menu goes... seriously. Simple solution.

I was having to use s voice! I'm no newb on this, but I didnt see the scrolling on the menu either until I did pages of googling. They are definitely lacking minute visual indicators in places.

Wow, thanks you guys. I was an idiot too, I had no idea you could scroll! When they updated to Jelly Bean, they added something to the menu and you have to scroll now, I didnt have to with Ice Cream Sandwich!!!!!!
Anyways, thanks a lot!

On the sense roms there is an option in the browser to disable viewing of mobile versions of websites.
However i am using a Froyo rom and even on Cyanogen there is no longer an option to do this. It forces the mobile version on you. I even tried Opera which has the option but it doesn't work in that for me.
And yes it is for porn.
Please help me view my porn. The sites i have tried all force you to a mobile version where you must pay. When they are free!
How about setting it not to accept cookies? Maybe a cookie is telling the sites you are on a mobile.
It's just a guess though as I wouldn't admit to using porn
Lmao... dirty beggers

I wonder if the phone is on vibrate while this porn is being viewed.
Hmm not a bad idea!
Type about:debug on address bar. Then go to settings > UAString > change to desktop and have fun!

I tried it. Type that stuff into the address bar, then press the menu button then settings. The settings list is expanded and includes a load of options. One of them is to change the mobile view setting. UAstring.

It works for both Froyo browser and stock browser. After entering about:debug, go to menu> settings as mentioned above.

Good find. Now I'm curious if any other bundled apps have this feature.

Didn't realize that...
But it is less clutter in my drawer
I also use LauncherPro so I can "hide" all those apps I don't want, and now my drawer has no junk in it.

This app has a service that starts up when you reboot. Yes, it doesn't remove the app, but it stops it from starting up the service and it is no longer accessible from the app drawer. In fact, when I did this trick, the icon didn't immediately go away from the LP app drawer, and I tried accessing it again. It was no longer usable.
Even if it's not freed up from the device, it's essentially dead.
Brand new getting my first 10 posts in so THANKS to OP for this tip.

Can you re-phrase you question? It kind of didnt make sense to me.. I can try to help if I can understand a little better.
I think I understand.
Basicallly, when u set a certain app as default all you have to do is go to system>apps and find that app that u chose and press on it and when your at its details and stuff scroll down a little bit and on the right u should see a button that says "clear defaults" just press it and you'll be good.

Thanks! You got it!!
Every kitkat rom I install on my S4, keeps showing my messages icon on the status bar. Even when I clear it, it comes back.
I don't know why, or how to solve this issue.
Anyone got any ideas on this?
Thanks

Try this, go into Settings and Application manager. Under "All" look for BadgeProvider, click on it then click Force stop and clear data/cache. Reboot phone afterward. Good luck.

I looked where you said to look, did not see 'BadgeProvider' anywhere.
For whatever reason, it's driving me crazy.

When I was using the Galaxy S 4 I was able to see my accounts in the pull down notification bar with account information. When I go into the settings options for the T-mobile My Account application on the G3, it will not allow me to put it in the notification bar pull down. It says "Display usage information in the notification bar" but you can't choose to have this option, the check mark is greyed out.

Ok got it to work! Freezing G3 tweakbox didn't make a difference. what fixed it was going to root explorer and giving the app all the permissions. Thanks for your help!
