So I have a 64gb card and I rather not format as FAT32 due to the 4gb max limitation (my movie rips tend to be a lot larger than 4gb). Is there anything for CWM that I would need an external memory card for? Installing custom ROMs perhaps?
No. You can use your intrrnal for that

Hello, I have a rooted stock s2 and was wondering if there is any way to make phone read a ntfs format storage instead of fat32. Thanks.

I don't know much about ntfs other than improves performance, but the memory card on the sgII is only used for media like music and other files and you can't move apps to it. Unless you want to format the internal memory which I wouldn't recommend doing.
Actually I was trying to put videos on it but the 4GB cap kinda screws for any type of hd movie files.

Ntfs is a proprietary Microsoft file type so I doubt it

Ive used up 8g of my 10g of device ram on apps and i know some are sd compatible because I had them on a past phone that already had app to sd built in ( r800x on v2.3.4). I cant seem to find the app to sd function on this note ii, and the one app I downloaded from the play store that was supposed to help me do that said my sd card is non existing ( I have an 8g patriot micro sd)

samsung has locked it down. the only way around it would be ExtSd2InternalSd basically swap sd card for internal but i would suggest a bigger card. i only have a 32gb class 10.i hear you can go with 64gb. go here to read more http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2036796
ps im on persus kernal.
I have run out of space on my xperia play due to my addiction to games. I am currently using a 32 gb sd card left with only 1.5 gb. I need more space and I don't want to delete any of my games . I love all 48 of them. Is it possible to use a 64 gb SD card?

The function SDXC of the sd card is not compatable with the xperia play. But you can use 64gb of space by formatting the card to fat32.
I have a sandisk class 6 64gb microsd card and have been running it for a year. Works awesome. And yes you will need to format it in fat32 for it to work in the Play

Yes before my xperia play didnt recognize the card.
Will using "mount" to bind directory on external sd to internal memory be any slower?
to put it simply, is there a noticeable speed difference between a class10 64gb sd card to the note2's internal memory sd card?

Yes.
I found directory binding to increase performance on my phone with class 10 64gb, phone seems faster
After a bit of research I've found this.
http://leemn.wordpress.com/2012/10/25/galaxy-note-2-swapping-external-sd-card-as-internal-memory/
The guide is a bit more extreme as he mount the entire home space on yhe external sd card rather than just using it for the big obb files.
The result by aututu is that the internal and external have similar read speed but in term of write speed internal is twice faster than external.
So if we trust this. Mounting data files (ie read only) seem nit to affect performance at all.

Hi all
I have a problem in the low internal memory quickly
How can I increase the size and what are the possible solutions?
What you can do is look up int2ext. It allows you to run a second partition on your micro sd card as if it were internal memory. I'm on mobile so I don't have a link to share, but just Google it

Have you looked at Link2SD? I prefer it to the other solutions as it allows an app-by-app selection of those you want to move to your SD-EXT partition. Also it works on ALL roms and is available from the Play Store.
