Keep the kernel that came with CyanogenMod 6.0.1 or use a different one, that is the question.

If none of the other kernels work, I suppose that answers my question. I was under the impression that you could use any kernel with any rom.

Nooooo. Most kernels will list ROMs they were tested on to determine compatibility and stability...
For instance, KingxKlick's kernels are specifically meant for 2.2 Sense ROMs, no others i.e. CM6...
I mean you can always try kernels I guess. I mean that's what nandroid is for, right
There is no other kernel that works with CM6.

Difference Jellytime to CM10?

Hi,
as new users like I'm are not allowed to post into the dev area... Can someone tell me the difference between Jellytime and the official CM10?
JT is based on CM10, but what else has been changed?
Jelly time is custom rom made by devs of xda

Yes, I know - but what is the difference?
I have flashed both (first JellyTime, now CM10 Nightly) and cannot find a real difference.

[Q] Am I a aokp rom or a cm9 or cm10 rom

I get so confused by aokp or cm10
Is there a easy way to find out what your rom is considered like my rom has AOkP mixed in im on jellybam
But is it a aokp rom? Why won't inverted apps work on it (I know there on it already) but if I want to use a AOKP theme shouldn't it work? or a cm10 theme? whats the base like where can I go to find out what hell my rom really is and understand it
Settings -> About Phone should give you a sense of what you're running. If you can't find any clear signs there, take screenshots of what's there and post it here and we'll see if we can make sense of it.

Jellybam is a mixture of cm10, AOKP, and Paranoidandroid but it doesn't have all the features of each only some each different rom. So thats why you might not be able to do certain things. And i think it's mostly based off on CM10 with SOME features of AOKP and Paranoidandroid.

Paranoid Android 2.99?

I can't seem to get this to work. I am running PA 3.10 but its too 'experimental' yet to use on a daily basis. Any special tricks I need to get this version to work? Or a list of what kernels are known to work? I suspect that it is a kernel issue.

try Evervolv 4.2.2
EXTREMELY STABLE :silly::silly:
Maybe I am missing something but isn't evervolv missing most if not all of the features and options of PA?
If you could point me to the stable version of AOSPA 4.22 that would be great. I only can find the one thread that has the buggy version.

So... you never answered--does Evervolv have the hybrid mode and cusotmization options of PA or is just a straight vanilla rom, because thats what it sounds like when I read the description.
And does anyone know how to get 2.99 working?
Evervolv is a vanilla rom.

2.99 is working
just flash the hellboy kernel( not the 4.2 one)
or u can also try super sick kernel
So which hellboy kernel do I use? There are tons of them and not really labeled or explained coherently.
Do I just get the latest one?

Use Evervolv
I think you will be better off using Evervolv. I tried the april 27 version and it was very good. There is also a newer version now available.

copied from the thread
TL;DR: before flashing aside from known issues in the second post.
This isn't an AOSP kernel.
Please choose the right version between N7100 (International 3G) and N7105 (International LTE).
The kernels are labelled for their respective target device. You have no excuse in messing this up.
