[Q] Enable HTC account on Miui 2.9.29 (sense-based, CDMA)? - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I am currently running the new sense-based, CDMA Miui 2.9.29 and it definitely works as a dd. However, I'd really like to run HTC locations on it, but because there is no option to sign into my HTC account in the rom, the HTC apps I installed cannot connect to their server.
Am I missing something? Other sense roms have this enabled. Please help!

[Q] HTC Location application for G2

Ok, this might seem like a noob question...But I rooted the Desire Z and flashed Cyanogen 6.1 because I don't like HTC Sense much...But I really miss the HTC Locations application...Is there anyway I can find this application and if yes how exactly do I install it because I'm guessing it'll take more than just putting it in my sd card and installing it...
As far as I know all the HTC apps depend on the HTC Sense framework, which means they probably won't run on vanilla ROMs.
The guy above me is correct. HTC apps depend on the sense framework.

Hello,
thank you for your feedback.
I just tested it, and it is not working well.
I can't configure another account except exchange one.
there is no Android market app or Widget.
the wifi is not working well. I am near the wifi box, and it says to me that the signal is too low.
I continue to look for a good pure android rom )
thank you
Olivier
In order to get the google apps (market, ...) in cm7 you have to flash the gapps. You find those here: goo-inside.me/gapps/

[Q] [Request] Need a Stock ROM without Sense..

i need a Stock Nexus S rom for my Desire HD as i am dam bored of this Sense and those lock screens.. more over any one can suggest me to use some launchers... but as i am need a stock ROM..
Use Android Rev HD with no-sense or no-sense++ script (HTC base 2.3.3 without sense).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040
or CyanogenMod rc-1 (google base 2.3.4)

This is an alright solution though i do not recommend the no sense script, it only removes certain apps and pieces of sense, not altogether... Cyanogenmod is one of my favorites, but the best rom i've ever ran (No longer fully supported, dev kept inspire but bought evo3d) is Gingerbeast on the inspire 4g forums, by Dilligaf, i definitely recommend it.
I stand by Cyanogenmod. Its stock with a steroid injection.

Thank u guys i just got Cynogenmod 7 installed on my Desire HD it works really well..
But i have another Request for you guys ... i have to use my home internet connection .. tht is internet pass through on my Cynogemod 7 could u plz find me a soloution which suits the best to the phone.. as i do not have a WIFI at home.. i use the internet pass through which helps me to download apps faster as i have a slow 2G network...
A $10 usb wifi dongle can be plugged into your computer and used as a makeshift gateway to share your connection via wifi.
Unfortunately I don't use Windows, only Linux so can't tell you how to set it up.
The internet passthru never worked on Linux so this is what I did to get around it.

[Q] ROMS compatible with GSM

HTC Incredible 2 verizon.
Hello, greetings to all of the forum, need help finding compatible roms GSM mode, I'm in Spain. Thank you very much, I tried some but full of bugs.
Is there any sense with gingerbread 3.3.5 and 3.5?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Try SkyRaider Zeus 1.3 Inc2. It has a mix of Sense 2.1 and 3.0 features. I have been running it for a couple of weeks with no issues. You will have to go to their forum to download it. Google teambamf..

Rom with no Bugs
rmk sense r1 is a rooted original firmware ( No Bugs at all ) ,
also it is debloated from all unnecessary bloatware and verizon stuff also as i remember ,
there is a patch includes all removed software if you need it back to the rom .
Also it can be patched with sense 3 patch . this is your best choice if you don't want to follow developers fixing bugs and patches every day
gingerbread 3.3.5 and 3.5
i assume 3.5 you mean Sense 3.5
there is one Rom only Sense 3.5 with GSM support and it has Bugs ( empty strings ) , and the developer move to a new Base , means that Rom's bug will not be fixed
any updates on this?
I have not tested it personally, but GSM should work on CyanogenMod.
I have personally tested GSM in CM7 7.1.0.1 and it does work just fine

Yes, I assume you should be fine to flash CM7 in Europe and have everything work fine. I am in the US on T-Mobile and it works.

Also you may not be able to access ##Phone codes EPST and such.
So if you need to manually enter some data provisioning settings you might want to keep a stock based ROM somewhere on your SD card like one of the others mentioned.
There is nothing like stepping off the plane and having to call the carrier only to hear "OK, lets dial ##778# + send" and with no data, access you have to run to an inet cafe or find a WiFi signal to download a ROM with that capability.
andybones has a real clean ROM.

cdma aosp kernel with loop suppor

Hi all!
I have a cdma desire and im just wondering is there a kernel out there with loop support?
I would love to run ubuntu on my phone, but i need loop first to be able to run it in VNC.
Thank you guys for the support and please post links if available!
What rom are you using right now?

I have oxygen running. I can switch to anything you need me to though. Remember I have a cdma desire thanks!

It will allow you to run any app you can run on desktop Ubuntu, coming with a Chromium browser, Thunderbird email, Rhythmbox music player and Shotwell photo editor as standard. It will be compatible with any device running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) or above, but unfortunately, you won’t just be able to simply download and install it yourself, since Ubuntu is currently liaising with mobile vendors and carriers to install the software at manufacturing stage.
Then again, all the Ubuntu code will be open-source as it always has been, so custom ROM makers congregated over at XDA-developers and the like should be able to add the OS in custom ROM releases.
