why dont I have an update on my htc one x?

hey guys i have this piece of fluffy red socks and no lovely update ???
MOD EDIT: Don't use that kind of language!

Have you only just got your 1 x? The last update took 2 weeks to come to the UK after release in the rest of Europe. Just wait we will probably get a ruu on moday then you can flash away if your on a non carrier locked phone. What is your current version?

am checking update over wi-fi so operator / carrier is not play role here .

Your not carrier locked then so wait for the ruu on Monday and then flash it. It will wipe your phone but at least you don't have to wait. Just don't let it stress you and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

aaahh grrr caant wait why i must be laast ..

You have an european unbranded version and it must be an UK phone since you haven't received the update yet. Possible ETA is monday.

Seriously. There is like 3 ten pages long threads about which CID has yet recived JB and which ones have not. If you would've used like 20seconds for searching you would already know without asking.

No one knows for sure when it'll be released. There are people claiming mid November but those are just speculations atm. Ul just have to sit tight and be patient
Keep checking the threads every so often. That's the best way to know if its out

Well, General section? I have already seen such kind of things in other devices' dev section.

I agree...but anyway just use your pc to flash the kernel...and the only good thing is that I have to think twice before choosing which Rom to use...

S-off also brings ability to change cid and SIM unlock your phone, its not only about flashing kernel mate

Yeah, I hate my ORANGB10 CID. Anyway, my One X isn't branded like "I can use ORANGE SIM only", no. I am in T-Mobile and just CID is that Orange.

No. I bought my phone new on Allegro, it's polish alternative of Ebay, very popular. The description was saying that the phone is 100% unbranded, so I thought that CID is also "normal". So, I didn't know that I will have that crap CID.

Why all these ungrateful comments?! If you don't want s-off, then don't sign and just leave!! If you don't know or understand why we should get s-off, then leave also because you clearly got something wrong. I don't get it, wtf happend to xda?!! Here's a tip; Since android is out 4 years ago we face this fuc#ing problem with locked down devices! I'm really fed up with this sh#t!...

although there have been [unsuccessful] attempts at a soft[ware]-unlock, the only known way(s) to unlock or s-off [gsm] one v is through a hardware solution. lg(e) tool or riff box both offer methods.

HTC won't give us S-OFF ever so forget about it. They won't even change CID if you pay em, this been asked already why not search before posting?

SuperCID and S-off can be obtained through various jtag methods: known lg(e) tool, riff box & medusa for gsm variant.

Sense 5 update 4.2.2

so as the last thread was closed due to having to be cleaned one to many times, i thought i would reopen one as its really handy to read through to see if or any progress dewords the update to 4,2,2 for the,,,HTC ONE X,,, or if any one has received it,,which cid,,and so on

You saw an elevate vip member they all have the update right noe to test there are some hox testers too in germany russia and china ^^

only in a few countrys elevate members will get this update...my cousin said he saw also someone in hanover with a hox and sense 5 ....but there was a watermark so a beta version
