Hey guys,
I am new to this subforum but I am quite interested in buying the HTC Touch Pro 2 because I am a little unsatisfied with my Xperia X1 above all when it comes to telephone standards.
So I would like to know if the volume speaker is really loud enough (tiny speaker in the X1) so you can hear when it is in your pocket on the street?
How is the vibration alarm, can you feel it when you sit in a quiet area?
And how is the reception quality of the device, unfortunately the X1 is just lower standard?
I have to admit that it has a superb camera for outdoor pictures though.
Thank you in advance.
Just get it
I had the X1, and it was a piece of crap.
The software wasn't even polished; slow and laggy, and not user friendly.
The Touch Pro 2 is undoubtly the best WinMo phone I have used and it also
outmatches my N97.
The vibration is very strong and can be felt even when the surrounding is a bit noisy.
And you are right about the camera, it is superb when there is enough like, but when it is dark, it is less than mediocre.
The signal strength is pretty strong and the call quality is second to none.
You won't be disappointed, trust me, i have used all the phones you can name.
Hi everyone,
As some of you are aware, the vibration motor on the GN is so weak that it is literally impossible to feel it when it's in your pocket. I've searched everywhere for an App that increases the intensity but it has all been in vein. I've heard from multiple places that this is not possible, but it seems that some Android phones do have controls like this (DROID charge comes to mind).
Is it possible to somehow increase the voltage supplied to the vibration motor? Perhaps in a custom Rom? Or maybe even through a hardware voltmod?
Although I have no issue with the vibration motor in my GN(pretty strong to me), other phones I have used have had a weak vib. CM's roms have the ability to increase the vib motor.

So, when you receive a call while the phone is in your pocket, you can still feel it vibrate? I've found that it feels strong in my hands but that the fabric in my pocket absorbs it so I can't feel it against my leg. I can't even feel it in my pajama pants, which have very thin fabric.
When you say CM, you mean CyanogenMod? Based on my reading it does not look like it does what I am asking. If you have a phone with CM on it, can you show me a screenshot of those vibrate settings?
yes, I feel it in my pocket when i get calls. Yes, I meant CyanogenMod, It is possible the setting I was thinking of just dealt with the haptic feed back when touching keys. It has been awhile since I've used a CM rom. Sorry
hi all
is there any way how to get GN automaticaly vibrate when pocket, using proximity sensor, like it was on some Samsung or HTCs?
Thanks lads
Majjjjo
That was done by accelerometer, not proximity sensor. Proximity sensor shuts off when the screen sleeps. That said, it would be a nice mod.
I noticed a rattling noise when the vibration is set to strong setting. Medium and light setting seems to be fine but only happens on strong setting. Does anyones 5T does this too?
Nothing here... Only saturation whith earpiece when in call volume is at max setting
"Strong"
Damn, the motor in my 5T is weak af.
Its nothing compared to my 3T at least.. This thing feels like a baby bee is stuck in here.

You may have a defective device. My 5T's vibration is very strong. I had 2 different 3Ts and a 3 and not one had a decent vibration motor. My 5T's vibration is also a lot stronger than the Pixel 2 XL that I had.
I have a OnePlus 6 and between the cheap, hollow vibration motor and some touch latency, typing is a nightmare. I have tried to get used to it, but can't . When I use my HTC U12 or LG V35, the difference is night and day.
Anyone care to comment on how it is for this phone? I'm seriously considering picking one up, but I don't want to end up right back where I started. Thanks!
Having the same question lol
Touch latency is very good. Vibration motor is still weaker than both my original moto g and my One M8, but not that bad.
There's even a glove mode so you can use the phone with gloves.
Update: I found a setting in the display section for Vibration Intensity, upon sliding it to full the vibration is indeed very strong now! It's on par with the phones mentioned above.
my tab s(1) wifi version has vibration while afaik tab s2 wifi version doesnt (only lte model contains a vibrator)
may i ask tab s4 owners here, does wifi version have virbration? or for the lte model only
thanks
I have the SM-T830 model (WiFi ) and it appears that it does have the vibration feedback. It kind of weak even turned up to max, but it's there.

thanks for your reply
it's so weak that u cant even feel it vibrates or it doesnt there actually coz if i remember correctly there's an option to let u adjust the level in tab s2 wifi but in fact it doesnt have the motor
btw no notification led rite?
I also have a few S2's. So, I can add a few comments on things I've observed between the 2.
Vibration feature is there. If holding the S4, you can feel it vibrate with the setting maxed. It kind of feels like a smart phone size vibration motor in a 10" inch tablet.
No Notification LED.
Speakers are much more powerful than the S2.
I really miss the fingerprint sensor that the S2 had.
The 16x10 vs 4x3 takes some getting use to...
The official folio case (non keyboard) is OK on the S4, but I like the official S2 style case better. The S2 in case feels thinner and has the wrap around flap for added security.

great, thank you
T835 also has the vibration feature. In settings you can setup intensity for calls, for notifications and overall/other.
