Here is the fix for acquiring MSL on the FI25, FI27 ICS, FK23, FL04 & FL16/GBxx/GCxx JB builds.
Please flash the FI03 bin toolbox prior to attempting to get your MSL.
Flash the STOCK bin toolbox file provided below for your rom build to return the bin file back to stock (maybe not necessary but I like to leave things the way they were ).
Cheers - TD
How to get your MSL.
1. Flash the FI03 bin toolbox.
2. Download terminal emulator from the market.
3. Enter at terminal emulator command prompt: getprop ril.MSL
--This will generate a 6 digit code. Write it down and save it!
--(Please note, the command is case sensitive)
4. Flash the Stock bin toolbox file provided below for your rom build to return the bin file back to stock.
The MSL should be six digits, correct?
Yes.

Thanks for everyone catching this and for this being an easy fix. Didn't even think that this would happen and hopefully it's unintentional (meaning we'll see that fixed in a later version)
I didnt realize people had this issue
(next part is a haha, after that the helpful stuff)
Seriously? you dont have that ma memorized or written on a post it by your bed aling with your roommates wifi wep?
Well, I do but I cant remember the last time I needed to enter a dialer code....
Ive been yellin about this for months and damnit, now youre gonna listen! (someone?)
Apex, or Nova launcher
Longpress homescreen
shortcuts
activities
In this place of wonder lies every shortcut your phone knows... Even the ones that dont work..
in
com.android.sprintmenu
you can access all dialer menus shortcuts starting AFTER the lock...
in settings you can (..over 100 things) setup usb config... Apns...
In wimax hidden you can set your NAPID extensions...
Etc... Etc...
But be careful... The shortcuts for the wipes are in there as well... Ooooo
(even the "get msl" shortcut...)
FI27 still has this issue.

This fix works fine for FI27 stock deodexed. I'm going to d/l Dan's rom and try it there too. I'll upload the FI27 stock toolbox file for post 1 as well in case it is needed.

GPS locked immediately. Did not get a lock with EL29 before flashing. GPS daemon turns off like it should. Accurate to 9 feet with GPS test. Wallpaper was zoomed in when I set it with Apex launcher but looks correct when I set it with TW. Haven't installed quick pic yet. Lets you change lockscreen wallpaper with Gallery (old style 3d Gallery) Wallpaper won't scroll with Apex even though I have it enabled.
Edit: After a reboot, wallpaper zoomed in again with Apex. Going to setup Quick Pic and see what happens
Edit 2: Installed Quick pic and the wallpaper I had tried before was still zoomed in with Apex so I tried a different one. I renders correctly now and scrolls as well. Woohoo!

I've been working on a fi03 based rom decompiled my system ui, framework res and Android policy files, made my edits and recompiled. Everything appeared to go well, no errors and pushed using 7zip. When I flash it though it hangs on the 4g screen and doesn't progress. If I didn't get errors it should work correct?
I edited a few pngs, and xmls that are known to work with other roms.
I changed the lockscreen to an aosp lockscreen, added a 4 way power menu, and changed the background on the status bar. They all seem to work on other roms so if anyone has any ideas what may have gone wrong I'd appreciate some input.
Thanks

I think we may be assed out.
I had already injected all the multi window files into kobridges fl04 before I saw the tutorial. I followed it to add the option to secSettings. Flashed and got boot loops.
The weird thing, our existing multi window files have an additional 1000 lines of code than from the working flashable zip.
That much code for something that doesn't work?
