I've been working on a fi03 based rom decompiled my system ui, framework res and Android policy files, made my edits and recompiled. Everything appeared to go well, no errors and pushed using 7zip. When I flash it though it hangs on the 4g screen and doesn't progress. If I didn't get errors it should work correct?
I edited a few pngs, and xmls that are known to work with other roms.
I changed the lockscreen to an aosp lockscreen, added a 4 way power menu, and changed the background on the status bar. They all seem to work on other roms so if anyone has any ideas what may have gone wrong I'd appreciate some input.
Thanks

Can you pull a logcat of it booting?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
My suggestion is. Do one at a time. Like lock screen. If it boots its good. Then do your next mod. This way you can find out which mod isn't working correctly. Also you can hit me up on talk if ya like. [email protected]

Got it to boot, the mods apparently aren't the issue, it wasn't until I added my pngs back into the mix that it started having issues again. So I'll be reworking the theme and going from there. Thanks for all the input though guys and g_ding I may still hit you up, Tim says you're the guy to go to for testing lol.

Actually it can be done and had been done on other phones. The problem is the amount of work its going to take and honestly is not worth it with gb around the corner.
I remember everyone including me saying the puzzle lock screen couldn't be done and look what maddogin did.

It can be done. You just have to rerout the apk to edit twfranework and make the framework use the cyanogen files. I might be holding a little AA secret about a theme changer.

I thought about adding it myself to sfr 1.2 but the amount work ain't worth it and my themes are huge so I would have to make it all work in a metamorph fashion to cut down the size.
This may be a option for gb and sfr tho

Actually the link I found was dead but I found the old thread kbizzle had for his port of AOKP and it mentioned using root explorer to turn them off. I tried the method and now my buttons are off but the lights are still on. But I quit tinkering when I went to work.

Correction, leave the setting checked in device settings and if u go to system/usr/keylayout and delete those four lines in sec.touchkey.kl and save then reboot, it will completely disable the buttons and lights.

No need to have the mods remove it, and actual it is useful info. I would change the title to [Solved]Button Lights Off | AOKP
and then put in OP the way to solve those lights like i said.

And that is why the OP details are always important.. Would have save a few clicks of the mouse.
See it on a few devices so unless someone is willing to port it over and test.. but the short search of ports looks like a TW base would be the way you'd have to go. Breaks the actual puzzle and all you'd get is a touch location.. Desire Z folks, sidekickers, mezmorized peeps, Evos.. failed.
Seeing how it's on the Galaxy S, maybe someone here will try.
Sorry misread that I will check into it

Not trying to be disrespectful, but I'd never would have suggested an app if the OP would have stated you were on CM10. Hopefully you can uninstall it and get back to normal.
Ask for a port, revamp your OP. State your current setup, details, and what you're looking for. It never hurts to ask and it never hurts to provide as many details as you can.
