Hi,
My HOX touchscreen was broken, the touch and everything was still working. I ordered a replacement lcd display Unit and replaced the complete display and touch. After replacement the screen is completely black but the phone still works. The touch buttons on the bottom still work and i can use the volume buttons. I replaced the lcd display unit very carefully and i am sure nothing is broken etc. So the touch is working but the screen is black. I tried 2 display units and both show me a black screen.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Did i forget to do something during the replacement?
Please, i need some help with this issue.
I`ve got the same problem. Have you found a solution?

Yes, it seems that the display units from HOX are not all the same. You have to check with display flex you have and compare it with the one you have new. I tried an other display unit and it worked for me.
Now i have the same problem for my friends HTC One X. Were looking now for the right display unit..

Ive swapped a few screens over on the one x and x+, I find the screens don't show anything until the phone is soft reset by holding down the power and volume up button for around 10 seconds (until the lights flash several times and then the phone vibrates before booting).
I have also found that the motherboards do accept displays manufactured by different companies (sharp, sony, AUO.. etc) the soft reset is a required step. If an identical lcd is used there is no need to reset.
Hope this helps!

Just a whim here, but maybe it could be that the digitizers buttons don't work. It might be broken out of factory, where did you get it? Maybe you can ask for a replacement as the digitizer is most probably broken.
it was just a cheap one from china, so im sure i can get a replacement if i ask.
I wasn't sure if the buttons are actually part of the touch screen itself or if the need to have contact to something else..
Thanks
Hi, I was just replacing the screen of my HTC one x, and after installing the new lcd flex cable, I turned it on to make sure it works. The HTC logo came up and shortly after the screen went dim. I think the backlight broke because I can see stuff on the screen under light. How can this be fixed? I checked the connection of the cable. Everything else works.
Thanks!
EDIT: I measured the 220 coil's resistance and it was at 1.6 ohms which is what I believe it should be?
Anyone??
I found out that when charged to 100%, the screen is slightly visible and after a while of usage it starts to become dimmer and dimmer and later it becomes useless
Update: I replaced the 220 coil! Got my hopes up and after fully assembling with new screen I booted. Normal flash of the HTC logo and then it went dim again!
Anyone know the problem here??

Hi There,
I bought a Spring LG G2 LS980 on ebay with an non-working backlight with cracked screen. At the moment, I thought that the screen was broken beyond the LCD and that replacing the Screen, LCD and Backlight it would work. So I bought a new screen and replaced it like any other G2, but now the phone turns on and sounds tell me the phone is working and responding to my touch, but I can't see anything! The status LED is my only indication if the phone is off, booting, on or charging. Is this a software issue or am I gonna have to replace more chips? Thanks,
Sincerely,
Sohaib
EDIT: So i did some testing around, and it seems like the flex assembly with the power buttons gets super hot when the phone is supposed to be on. When I press on the lower right contact between the screen and the assembly, the backlight flashes for a moment, so it looks like the connector is damaged. It is a hardware issue. Thanks,

hello ! i think im in same situation right now. can you help me about what parts you have replaced thank you!
Hi,
I have to following problem:
My HTC One M8 has colorful grainy static screen and sometimes the picture turns off, like a cable is loose. I read all the forums and search google all over for a solution, most of them claimed that after a panel replace it will be fine. I switched the whole front panel for a new one, but after assembly i have the same problem. The phone is working, because i can unlock the screen lock, turn off the phone, i get the notifications and everything, but the screen is just static noise. I'm assuming that maybe it is some graphic fault, but not related to the lcd panel or the cables (they are all brand new, and i double checked all of them). Is the logic board responsible for the image? What should i try to replace next the upper motherboard, or the middle logic board?

I've got the exact same thing here.... Searched a lot around without finding anything that has resolved my case. I ordered a replacement screen for a cracked screen on the first phone, but when I tested the LCD before I assembled everything together it was showing just noise like in your picture. I assumed the LCD was bad, so I ordered a new one. But the new one was acting exactly the same.
Yesterday, I was approached by another one who needed help with their M8, and that phone needed to have its volume buttons replaced. So, I reused the parts from the old M8, but when I booted the phone after repair, it showed this same noisy screen as the first M8 I tried to repair. Anyone here that knows these phones and what is going on here? I'm pretty sure I have 3 working LCD's here now, and suspect something strange going on with the mainboard or controller for screen.
Anyone?
Hello,
three months ago the display of my OP3 stopped working, could see the leds flashing when starting up but nothing to see on the screen. So i tried with a broken display from a friends OP3 which was broken but fully working (touchscreen + display). Because everything was working fine with this display i bought an replacement screen from ebay.
First thing when i replaced the display was that with the new display the touchscreen gestures were gone. So i was not able to wake up the phone by douple tap or could start the torch/flashlight with gestures.
So i started searching on google and found out that this should be a problem of LCD as the original display is amoled and most (or all) of the replacement displays are "only" LCD. If that would have been the only problem i think i could arrange with it although i liked to use the gestures.
But sometimes i have the problem that after waking up the phone the touchscreen is not working. Then i have to urn off the screen again and wait some time. Sometimes 30 seconds, sometimes 1 or 2 minutes. This can be really annoying. Apart from that it seems that the touchscreen is working not as good as original one.
So i have a few question which should help me to decide, buying another replacement display, if that, hopefully found and amoled one. Or maybe there is another solution (like new flashing, but i don't believe in that solution really):
1. Is it really true that you can never use display gestures with an amoled display? Does this never works on LCD?
2. On aliexpress there are a few displays sold saying it is an amoled display but there is always said LCD in the title. Do you think that can be amoled or is that not true? If i would by another display it should bea an amoled.
3. Do you think it must be a hardware problem of the new display or it maybe help to put it apart again and there is just a simple connection error for example? Or do you thin it can be a software error?
Greetings and thank you for help

You can try two things. First flash an OOS ROM and see whether it resolves your issue (sometimes it does). Next, you can open up the phone and check the connections.
If both these fail, go for another screen which is comparatively costlier and from a reliable website rather than Aliexpress. The costlier ones usually do not have issues.
