Help with ICS & JB remix 3.0 - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Well basically i followed the instructions when flashing this... (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884958), but when i booted my phone & a couple other times the background was black (no bootloops) all i could see/access was the home screen slide lock and the slide to camera
i don't know whats wrong, i checked in the 'FAQ' for any solutions but none, i wipe/data factory reseted and did it another two times and re-flashed the ROM but again same problem black background, not being able to access any apps but only access camera (by home screen slide) and holding down the power button for options (turn off phone etc.)
NOTE: before flashing this ROM, i first flashed .587 FW by Flashtool then flashed Advanced Stock Kernel .587 then doing a wipe/data factory reset said in the instructions & finally flashing the ROM + Wifi modules for the kernel through CWM.
Thanks, MrModMan

anyone?

change to advanced stock kernel and re-download the rom.Do a full wipe(data, cache, dalvik cache),format cache, data and system and flash the rom.I always use stock kernels for best battery performance and no issues at all.If by all means i made it too complicated fell free to ask me whatever you want!

[Q] Restoring a Defy to factory condition

Hi,
I recenty got my Defy and started playing around with the great rooting/optimization/overclocking guide here. I messed up flashing an older sbf now the only thing I can see is my home screen and I cant access my menu or contacts etc. Before flashing, I noted that my Android version was 2.2.1. As a final try, I flashed the T-Mobile Android 2.2.1 rom 3.4.2 but still cant access anything apart from the homescreen.
One thing I noticed was that everytime I flashed a sbf, my custom active wallpaper remained the same, when I expected the stock one which comes with TMO when you do a first run.
Can anyone please advise me on how to restore it to factory condition with blur etc.? Is it possible to wipe out everything and have it the way it was on the first run?
Thanks in advance.
I don't know if you can restore itto factory settings, but you can try to wipe all data before flash the that rom. Power + Vol Down, touch the bottom right corner (ou pres vol up + down, depending on the rom). Then Wipe all.

Defy stops @ "android" logo

Hello,
I have a great problem with my Motorola. I installed battery icon mod without reading for which phone it's made and used it. Now I can't use my phone, because it's stopping at this logo before system. I had Cyanogenmod 7 (last nightly before RC), but when I destroyed it by this application first thing I did was wipe. After it nothing has changed, so I tried again and I flashed it with normal 2.2 Nordic but - as I "predicted" - nothing has changed again, but this time system was stopping at Android logo, not Cyanogenmod logo. I tried to flash again - nothing. The device can be charged (there appears this battery).
What should I do?

Go into the stock recovery and wipe data. Then re-flash the sbf.
I did it already, but I forgot, that I can do wipe after flashing the device I thought about it and did it - everything is working. Sorry for useless thread.
Regards.
I wanted to ask at the same time. What if i can't enter stock recovery. My phone's rooted , slightly overclocked , and i can't download any apps , i can't do factory reset , and even when i'm trying to enter it , the android pic would appear with that "danger - triangle". What should be done?

The triangle IS the stock recovery! when you see the triangle with the little android dude, hit both up and down volume at the same time. This will bring up a menu that will allow you to do a factory wipe.
And another question. I've installed custom recovery , and it said that install was succsesful , but when I apply recovery boot , it just reboots my phone , or lefts screen blacked out, at which case i have to turn on my phone by removing and applying battery.

Not sure I understand the questions, but I'll take a stab at it anyway:
Since we have a locked bl, the custom recovery does not overwrite the stock recovery.
As far as I know, the only way to get in to custom recovery, is to push the vol down when the blue light goes on during the boot cycle.

If it was a first reboot after installing Custom Recovery than USB Debbug should be off...

Failed to Load! :(

I am currently running Domination CM10 build 6 and was previously using the kernel that came with the rom.
Just updated to latest bricked which first just wouldnt boot (flashed kernel via fastboot and zip via recovery as normal) either normally or load recovery so used viper flasher to do kernel and modules (replaced ones it came with to latest ones from the kernel zip)
Now phone boots fine but after a few seconds it comes up "Failed to Load! " in a box at bottom (similar to boxes when something is given root access, checked and phone still rooted and that side working fine) but the box never seems to fade away so stays stuck over top of everything.
I only have 2 widgets... clock & calendar both of which load up fine, boots into recovery now if I boot normal and then use rom "reboot into recovery" but whenever I try to use it the phone just reboots, if I hold volume down when powering on it just boots as normal and dont load hboot
Any ideas? Know its not major issues and can probably be fixed with a wipe but tbh was lazy and didnt backup before flashing kernel thinking I wouldnt need it so hoping someones had similar and knows a simpler fix which wont involve wiping

try to reflash stock kernel, maybe it will be ok again, in worst case you'll have to wipe

[Q] Looping Xperia logo

I was trying to install AuroraPlay 1.1, everything was going fine, i unlocked my bootloader, installed doomkernel, booted it up and it was fine until then. Then i followed the next installation steps (factory reset, format system, and flashed the rom, did it all on Clockwork mod) and now the Xperia logo keeps looping. I can't enter recovery, the phone doesn't vibrate like it did before on the doomkernel screen and no matter what i press it just goes to the logo again
I'm pretty new to all this so i suppose i just made a common stupid mistake. Flashtool seems to still recognize my phone when i connect it in flash mode, but not for long, it disconnects itself and reconnects again but not in flash mode. Can i save my phone?
After removing the battery many times, and trying again and again, it booted into AuroraPlay
Everything looked normal, so i turned it off and on again to see if it was fixed, but it's looping again, and i still can't acess recovery
I can't think of anything i did differently when it booted successfully
Start from begining again:
-flash stock firmware and see does it boot up
-reflash doom kernel again, if you can enter fastboot mode (hold search when pluging in usb)
-boot rom again, to see if stock rom can boot up with doomlord kernel
-if you can, reset to recovery(keep pressing back button), format data and system and install Aurora again
If you manage to boot to (any) rom, check your sd card for errors, if any...
Around half an hour after my last post, i left my xperia looping for like 10 minutes to see if anything changed, then took out the battery and booted it up again
this time i managed to go into recovery, but didnt want to flash everything again so i just applied the doomkernel v14 wifi fix that i couldnt apply before
it then booted into the rom normally and i've been using it since without a problem
kinda afraid to reboot though

I need HTC Desire 300 STOCK ROM

Hi, i have problem with my phone my phone i restarted my phone but i stock at HTC logo
I searching on google but saw this need to flash Stock Rom
So, i need Stock Rom, without any mods and i need Step by step how to flash it, if a video it would be good
Because i didn't flash before any device and i am like noob in this phone stuff
Try factory reset first (it will wipe all of your data but it may fix your phone)
-- flashing stock rom will wipe data anyway
To do factory reset:
1. Take battery out for few seconds
2. Hold volume down and power button
3. White screen (bootloader) should appear
4. Select factory reset
Feel free to ask if you have further problems or if factory reset doesn't work I can tell you how to flash stock rom
