Also added few more unreleased wallpapers from the "T" including this new HD 3D Spectrum...
It and several others are contained within "xperiatWP_new.zip" file(link in post 1).

I just installed the stock animation from the T forums. Then looked for a place to post and found this. Nice work.
Your OP says sounds, does the T use sounds.
This is so much better than that stupid att boot anime

Yeah bro I was just happy to ditch that att animation myself, was glad this came available.
Actually the "sounds" refer to the ringtone and notification included in the .rar file. No sound for the bootanimation. I'm looking through the rest of the system for any other usable stuff but most is the same already contained in our ics. I'll keep looking, eb

I tried the Home.apk and HomeAdd.apk, didn't really notice any difference.

Also tried the SystemUI, and it works fine. Just like the GX systemui, you get the LTE symbol back and the stock notification toggles.
I also tried to see if I could bring in the small app stuff, but can't get it to work. After doing some reading, it looks like the framework needs to be modded to get these working. Unfortunately this is beyond my skill at this point.
Calendar is the same.
Tried the SemcPhone but it crashes on receiving a call. I think there is more involved than just replacing the apk, idk. But I do know the T's SemcPhone is a bit larger than the Ion's so I'm guessing there could be some changes/differences/improvements.
For anyone interested here is the thread with the deodexed T system dump;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1897151

Yeah, the "Home" apk is exactly the same if you look at size and date. There's just not enough difference yet in the rest to constitute the effort, for me that is. However I was looking through the frameworks and noticed what looked liked status bar toggles. Is that what you're talking about? Does the "T" have toggles? That would be the **** and well worth porting. eb

Yes, the T's SystemUI has built in toggles (not customizable) just like the GX's did. I just copied to system, set permissions and copied over my existing in system/app. I'm using it right now and works fine on the Ion. If anyone is going to try this back up your existing systemui up first.
I'm using the T's SystemUI from the deodexed dump on my deodexed 233fw.

Sweet, I'll try it. You should post it.

I should also note that I'm using Home and HomeAdd from the deodexed T dump also. As you said they're probably not any different than the Ion's, but in case anyone tries and runs into problems, keep that in mind.

I was just wondering about this yesterday. I was on Sony's sight from Finland looking at some of the videos of the T and TX. They look to have quite a few added features. The TX is water resistant like the Acro. Nice find.

I can't say I've noticed the difference in the Home.apk, but the SystemUI provides stock notification bar toggles (not customizable), and the LTE symbol being back is nice. The new SystemUI also feels smoother but I can't say for sure. I plan on trying out some of the other stock apps (Calendar, Conversation, Photo Editor, etc..) soon. I'll report back.

No difference in the photo editor and calendar.

I've changed back to my modded SystemUI, the stock GX notification bar toggle just weren't flexible enough for. So far it looks like everything is pretty much the same.
One promising app is that "location based wifi", that turns off wifi once you're out of range. Not sure how it works or if you need locations enable for it to work, but it could be pretty handy.

No difference that I noticed, but I was already on ICS .233, just wanted to see if anything changed or improved with the GX software. The only improvement I saw was the SystemUI and the notification bar toggles. If we didn't have mods, than I would keep using it. Two things I didn't like about the GX toggles; every time you turn on data you had to confirm and no customization, so no GPS or Brightness.
Oh I see. No change from ICS. Will you post a screenshot of the calendar. Im still on Ginger.
Sent from my LT28at
This is also a early dump of a yet to be released device. From what I can tell the Mint is the T and the GX is now the TX. So maybe once the dumps from these devices leak we may see some difference or new stuff. Good to know its so easy to port things on Sony devices though.

Just like it says on the original thread, change permissions (rw-r--r-- ) and move it to system/app then reboot.
The toggle on the mods section are better than the stock gx toggles imo. I switched back a while ago.

Can we even use a modded one on our ion's? Can you link the modded section? I don't want to use the wrong one.

Jelly Bean .qmg bootanimaitons! I got this.

Firstly , these are for Jelly Bean . Any one who's kept up with my work here on xda knows that I'm a huge fan of boot animations. So when I heard that Jelly Bean couldn't have boot animations, I said.. wanna make a bet? As the old proverbial saying goes.. If you can't beat em.. join em. Samsung threw down their douche card and started using a corporate format to compile boot animations called QMG format. After researching it on the web for some time I found that the software to compress these bootanimations is highly expensive and guarded. So for now until I can find a copy of Qmage ( the program used to compile these boot animations) We are gonna have to stick with some "stock" bootanimations.. But... That doesn't mean that there aren't some MUCH better boot animations out there for some other phones . Like the droid series for example have a lot of really cool boot animations. I'm uploading a few .qmg boot animations here. Obviously I didn't make these, they come from corporate, but they are hella better than the stock E4GT "4g" boot animation and crappy bell tones. I've repacked them in a flashable zip that works on our JELLY BEAN leaks. If anyone has a stock .qmg boot animation from another phone (other than the e4gt) please either pm me or post a link to them here. I would like to get as big of a collection as possible.. I'm only gonna post a few that we havn't seen on this device yet.
Directions
If you're on a STOCK JB kernel... Mobile Odin Agat's FK23 repack and flash the boot animation
If youre on Agats Kernel just boot into recovery and flash .. NO NEED to wipe ANYTHING for a boot animation.
If the boot sound doesn't work or stays the same as the stock e4gt boot sound... pull the PowerOn.ogg from the zip.. and push it with a file explorer to /system/media/ui. Reset the permissions to everything else in that folder Reboot and Enjoy!!
1. Droid_Charge_Boot_Animation
2.Samsung_Vibrant_Boot_Animation.. (same as international S3)
3.Samsung_Galaxy_S_Georgio_Armani
I have a few more.. but they are basically the same or just plain lame. Lemme know how you like these
Sweet! As soon as I see the stock sprint animation and hear that horrific jingle I want to kill it with fire! Thank you for looking into this.

I'm sure that you can. . But I write the updater script and file path to work with this device. If you know where the bootsamsung.qmg is on your phone then unzip the file and push the files with a file explorer to the correct directory for you phone. Make sure u set the permissions correctly and it should work.

[MOD][TW][4.1.2] AOSP Lockscreen Toggle and TouchWiz Lockscreen Mods

Got The AOSP Locksreen to work on stock deodexed Touchwiz Rom.
I'm using NOTEorious Prime RC1.5 JB 4.1.2 AOSP/TW Mash-up N7105
Should work on other Roms as well
This is has Ink Mod Red/Black Built in to the Settings so no need to flash both.
Just Flash the Attached Zips [SECSettings AOSP Lockscreen Addon] and [AOSP Lockscreen] You may need to wipe Cache/Dalvik
As Always BACKUP before you flash anything.
Clock is White Right Now and I am Working on color mods for it.
Have a mod for blue Lockscreen Text
Manual Way:
It is getting hard for me to keep up with all the mod changes and everything going on in my life so I will post the changed files for this mod so that dev's can add them to any ROM.
AOSP Lock.rar has 4 files in side, just replace the files in your ROM with these.
android.policy.jar
\com\android\internal\policy\impl and open LockPatternKeyguardView.smali
SecSettings.apk
/smali/com/android/settings/ folder and open LockscreenSettings.smali
res/xml folder and open lockscreen_settings.xm
The 4th file is only needed if you have problems recompiling it has the changes need for wfd_picker_dialog.xml. It goes in res/layout.
TouchWiz LockScreen Mods
I will place My Touchwiz Lock-screen Mods in this post to keep the 2 separate. These do not interfere with the toggle mod so both can be flashed.
Didnt work for me on CleanRom

Also, does this add custom app access like modified AOSP lock screen?
Hitting thanks to OP for his effort, whether I end up using this or not.

That's what it looks like on mine with the all blue text. Will probably make an all black for that wallpaper.
Lockscreen icons are in framework-res. So you can change them to anything you want Slide up for Google Now [Hard to see on White Wallpaper]
I am working on lockscreen mods for this. A lot of the structure is in the original system so it makes it a little easier but I still have to find the hidden ones.
Lockscreen Targets can be modified but not easily. Would have to redirect the targets manually.
It seems this doesn't work Saurom install unfortunately ):
Flashed SECSettings AOSP Lockscreen Addon.zip with AOSP Lockscreen.zip in TWRP. I tried it with and without wiping the cache. All I got were bootloops.
Luckily I had a backup so this was no real problem for me.
Still looking forward to this mod when its working!

Bootanimations and Shutdownanimations [Updated - 1/4/2013]

BOOTANIMATIONS:
Stock JellyBean
Stock Sprint
Stock LG
Stock ICS
Nexus 7
Pac-Man
R2-D2
SHUTDOWNANIMATIONS:
Stock LG
Stock Sprint
DO NOT FLASH IN RECOVERY!
Make sure to have a file explorer installed to do these instructions, such as Root Explorer or (What I use) Root Browser Lite.
Steps :
1. Download the ZIP
2. rename it to "bootanimation.zip" or "shutdownanimation.zip"
3. push it into your /system/media
4. set permission -rw-r-r- a.k.a 644
5. reboot
6. PRESS THE THANKS BUTTON
7. ????
8. PROFIT!!!!!
Make sure you delete the old ones, "bootanimation.zip", "bootanimation_sprint.zip" and bootanimation_boost.zip or shutdownanimation.zip and shutdownanimation_sprint.zip"
Please let me know if these do not work or the link ever gets broken or anything like that.
I do not take credit for making any of these, I have found them throughout the internet and edited them to work with this phone, such as resizing the image. If any of them are yours then please let me know!
Mega, you seem to always be the first person to "thanks" my OP when I post anything. Haha.
Also, Almost done uploading. Decided to get an account at Android File Host, was just waiting to get approved for Dev. I am trying to take the stock Jelly Bean bootanimation and reverse it for a shutdown animation.
Thank you for your work.
Does everyone know, though, that the boot animation applications from the play store work as long as you adjust the proper settings inside the app?

No, has to be done by the directions.
Updated OP and added 4 more bootanimations.
Theoretically couldn't you do this for any file that's supposed to be a bootanimation?
For instance, I have a GS3 as well so I frequent those forums and have a couple bootanimations for that phone. I could just install them on the OG the same way you explained in your OP. Do you think there would be any problems that would cause a brick/bootloop issue because of the different dimensions of the screens?
Changing the Sound - Awkward Sounds
Heya,
This worked perfectly the above method by Epic. However now when I boot up I get the awesome nexus boot logo but still the same awkward sprint boot sound. With a look digging I discovered that the boot up or as in the phone "PoweOn_Sprint.ogg" and the bootoff "PowerOff_Sprint.ogg" all located in the same media folder "/system/media/audio/ui/" So now the question is lets start picking boot sounds (on/off) maybe the nexus 4 will be a good start.
Thank you in advance,
TheAceX
What I would do is just search up android boot animations and so far anyone I likes has work. As for the sounds, you can make the boot sound literally any song or clip you want, my power on is the ps1 boot sound which is awesome. You just have to convert the sound into .ogg with an audio converter program, rename it PowerOff_Sprint or PowerOn_Sprint respectively and make sure its capitalized exactly that way, then put it in the Ui directory.
I was gonna post a how to but no one showed interest lol

I was gonna post a how to but no one showed interest lol

Sounds good. Only thing is I did it on my brothers computer who went back up to school so I'll have to redo it or see if I can get him to email me. I'll let you know soon

Not a problem. Thanks man!
You could always try using something like THIS to convert any audio files.
I haven't tried this service so I can't vouch for it, but I've used ones like it before.
Then you install it just like the bootanimations (naming them appropriately and putting them in the proper folder).
adampatricknc said:
Theoretically couldn't you do this for any file that's supposed to be a bootanimation?
For instance, I have a GS3 as well so I frequent those forums and have a couple bootanimations for that phone. I could just install them on the OG the same way you explained in your OP. Do you think there would be any problems that would cause a brick/bootloop issue because of the different dimensions of the screens?

You shouldn't (it is really unlikely) have any issues.
They may look a little stretched or won't fill the screen.
If the animation is somehow broken, Android doesn't need it to boot.
I might already know the answer, but can I add this to the rom your testing? and tell which one you would like me to try.

Man, you don't have to ask! Doesn't matter. The R2-D2 one is pretty badass.

I actually just opened it and tested the r2-d2 one and the size is small. Any ideas how to resize?

Would LOVE if the R2D2 one could be full screen. It's one of my all time favorite Boot Animations

[Theme] Alternative Conversation Skins [V1.2]

Hey guys, I'm a relative from the AT&T LGOG community.
I made a small (amateurish) theme for the mms.apk for my phone and wanted to try and port it to the sprint variant.
I used the LGUSMms.apk from a deodexed ZV9 stock ROM (posted by b-reezy HERE).
I do not have the Sprint LGOG and therefor have not been able to test this.
Some great users have tested and reported it works. Thanks guys.
LINK to original AT&T thread.
I have spent the last 2 days re-theming the conversation skins for the stock LGUSMms.apk.
I was inspired by whiteguypl's theme HERE.
This has his dark holo theme included. (Has the same little issue where the text color of links that people send you is the same as the background color).
(If you have an issue with this whiteguypl, please let me know).
I have included screenshots for all the themes.
I know they are a little rough, I am still brand new to themeing.
This was some pretty tough work (mostly because I had to learn a lot and made a few mistakes in the process).
Usual Disclaimer:
I am not responsible for any harm done to your device from flashing this.
I have flashed it fine on my phone without issues but cannot promise the same for you.
This replaces the LGUSMms.apk from /system/app/, so I strongly recommend either a system backup in recovery or at least making a copy of your LGUSMms.apk before installation.
Install via recovery.

Thank you for your support and help guys.

Are you on a deodexed rom?
If not, maybe try renaming /system/app/LGUSMms.odex to LGUSMms.odex.bak (I'm assuming this is the name of it).
Then reboot.
I had a user say that that worked for another mod on a stock odexed rom.

I am on the deodexed rom you took this from and let me try renaming it..
Changed the name and the messaging icon disappeared.

Right, if you are deodexed there shouldn't be a .odex file, so there shouldn't have been anything to rename (if you renamed the .apk then the system won't see the app anymore, you'll want to change it back).
Did you try changing the conversation skin at all? Maybe one just didn't work (my guess it would be the blue striped background, the image names were different).
Can you try copying the THIS file (just the .apk in the .zip, maybe the .zip didn't flash right) to /system/app and making sure permissions are set to -rw-r--r--.
You'll have to reboot every time you change an app in there.
Thanks, and sorry it didn't work like it should have at first, I appreciate the help.

Great!
By copying the .apk or something else?
If so, maybe the .zip was messed up.
I'm thinking maybe the script is not mounting the partition correctly due to differences between the AT&T and Sprint versions.
--------edit------------
Looks like that may have been the issue, changed the script, updated to V1.2.
Thanks for bringing this to our community

Beautiful themes man. Great work.
Let's work on some LG Home themes.
If you have gtalk shoot me a PM. I'd be down to collaborate on some theming.
Thank you so much! I had been waiting for someone to make more mms themes since I got the phone.

Any plans to update with more? or plans to fix the ICS blue and black one that had text in colors you can read?
But works great, thanks! :good:

Thanks.
And I would love to, but class just started back up for me (today was the first day and I have an assignment and quiz already tomorrow) and until I know how my schedule is going to balance out, I'm not sure how much time I can devote to themeing/etc.

And I was hoping to do more, but don't know when (see above) and was also hoping to fix the text color issues. I have been looking around in the .xmls and think I may have found the link colors, but I have yet to find out where the colors are set for individual skins (ie. the green "nature" theme has blue text in it because the original paper skin had blue text in it, I haven't been able to find where that is set).
Just wanted to give you an update, changed ROM's and flashed V1.2 and it worked perfect.
Works great wish we had more color schemes or choices

If I could make a request for a blue and yellow theme, like from IGPX, I'd love that option. Lemme know if you need help, I can try to assist
Sent from LG Optimus Prime G
Can we please get this for ZVB jellybean?
The stock themes are aweful. I know all I really want is the blue/gray one.
Thanks!
