[Q] Xperia Play Increase Internal Memory - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey xda I need some help! I know there is a thread talking about the internal storage for the Xperia PLAY and how to increase it, I just can't find it. Can someone please post the link to that thread or tell me something about it?

In your situation the best thing to do is to download droidsail, search app2sd in the store and scroll down until you see a picture of a phone and an sd card, download and move apps

Is this the one you're looking for? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1541243

Yes that's it!!!! Thank you!!!!

I want to know???

Hey guys i just wanted to know if there is a way or if it is possible to flash the android system on your sd card and boot up from there so your phone would have a lot more of free space when using sense 3.0.
Please let me know and thanks

You can with the Nook Color, but I don't *think* you can with our phones.

DEV Q - Could we port Conap's multiboot?

Hi devs,
today morning it was news on the xda portal, that it is possible to have 4 ROMs installed on the Droid Incredible, and to choose which one you want to boot up.
Here is the thread
I hope somebody will be interested, and we get at least a dualboot. Would be nice especially, that there is the Ubuntu project now.
The only problem is, that we don't have 8GB internal storage, but we have sdcard (where the Ubuntu runs from to)
I will delete this thread as soon as a dev makes an other one for making the development happen.

yes, it's possible, but it's a bit tricky.
but this way we could have a Sense, a CM and Ubuntu on our DHD at the same time Wouldn't it be nice?

you are right, it is the case with Incredible, but you can run Ubuntu natively on your DHD and it uses your sdcard, so it would be possible to install the ROMs there
I want win 7 also.. Lol

I'm with you.
But wait a second! You can run it in a virtual machine in Ubuntu.
You see?! I solved it for you. LOL
I was kidding about w7, but multi boot would be great! Dhd has more than enough internal memory

IF we did get this ported to the dhd, would it be good to go for an inspire user like me? or would it take some more dev time to also port it for the inspire. I'm still not technically aware of what dhd and inspire's differences are..
EDIT: also, are the inspire and dhd's internal memory the same?
That's great idea!!
The desire HD have enough internal memory to have cm7 and sense at the same time.
Cmon devs!

[Q] Swapping SD Cards

Hey guys! I have searched the forum a lot but couldn't find a solution to this issue. I am trying to swap my external sd card into internal while running the PAC-Man ROM. Is there anyone who has been able to do that? I would really appreciate the help.

Thanks for the quick reply. But on page 6 of that thread, a user named nonmindo says "Not working with pacman ROM (cm10/aosp/paranoid android combo rom)"
Did you try it with PAC-Man ROM and it worked for you? If that's the case, please let me know and I will try it myself. Thanks again!

Thanks for the reply Vikesh! I guess what I am understanding from your reply is that swapping sd cards won't be possible with PAC-Man ROM, or at least as of yet? If that's the case, at least I tried lol. Anyways, thanks again for your help.

What you need is the search feature to find the information you want. You are not special.........No one has the time or patience to explain everything to everyone that asks the same thing all over again! Thread reported

Quick suggestion, if you don't like this auto generated Q&A thread, you can change your current thread to a DevDB project instead. Use the numbers & letters at the end of your thread link in the thread converter. I did it for my Kernel thread, and the unwanted Q&A thread vanished
I think its triggered when somebody under ten posts tries to ask a question in a development thread. Unless you want to keep this thread, in that case ignore what I'm saying.

For Pac man rom i don't see recent call at all. I think it bug. Do u know which rom no problem ?
if you're talking about call log, it's accessed by pressing the clock icon at the bottom if the phone app
Question on the PacMan 4.4.4. for LG E980
Okay, I installed this ROM on my girls phone and I have a couple of questions concerning the running of it.
1.) In storage - it's reading her onboard SD card as having 2.41gb available and 23.3gb total - I'm pretty sure that's backwards because there's hardly anything installed, so 2.41gb would be what is installed and there should be roughly 20gb available whereas the ROM is reading as 2.41gb available.
2.) How come there's no package installer? When I download APK files and try to install, it only gives me the option of opening them with RAR for Android (which I installed).
3.) No problems yet with battery life, however, I just loaded this up at 4am on 11/1/14 and it hasn't had time to settle in, but for those who are running this ROM - what have you tweaked to get the best battery life possible?
I got through 10 pages on the thread concerning this ROM and don't have a whole lot of time to get through anymore, so I'm hoping I didn't piss anyone off by posting this!
Thanks!

1) give me a screenshot of the storage
2) you shouldn't have to download anything to install an apk. Just click on it. If it doesn't either install, or tell you your security settings prohibit you from installing from unknown sources, its not an apk.
3) I sometimes enable multicore power saving in PAC performance...but that's about it. If battery life is of interest to you, check out my guide over in general

Ack! I forgot to mention. I found the package installer so sorry about that. I was running really low on time. Once this storage issue is sorted out, this ROM is an A+++ for us! She absolutely loves it.

Anyone else seeing this storage issue? Mine looks normal:
I'm gonna try reflashing the ROM and this moment and see if that'll work upon running a full wipe of the system, first. Also, any idea why this SD card won't work in this phone? We just got it last night, I formatted to FAT32 using mini partition tool and the ROM still isn't recognizing there's an SD card in the phone.

Not sure. It recognizes my SD card just fine. Have you tried formatting using windows?
Sorry man - storage issue is FIXED! I forgot to goto Advanced in CWM and format the internal storage. Oops. Hmm, okay. Am I correct on the FAT32 formatting for this? Or should it be Ext 2/3/4? I'm not sure which file system this phone uses and I can't find any relevant information on LG.com for it.
