New galaxy nexus launch - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I was wondering if Samsung will release a newer version of galaxy nexus? I know they plan to release S4 in february of 2013,but i didn't find anything about the nexus. Cheers

There's dozens of speculation threads on this. Didn't need a new one. Although there obviously will be a follow up to this flagship phone, official word is nonexistent at this point.
I777 gets it done, gnex just for fun

It's all rumors at this point. The S4 has officially been denied by Samsung for that release date. See here. The next Nexus device is purely speculation. We just have to wait to see what's up.

Sorry if this thread is the 100th of the same kind, but i don't have much time to search it. @Darunion I don't want the new galaxy nexus because of the brand. I've been uisng Samsung galaxy 3 for 2 years, and i think now it's time to try something different.I wanted to buy a nexus ,but asked this question to see is it a good idea to wait for the new model to come out or buy this one. I asked a question ,and i think it deserves a polite answer. Cheers

You don't have to search, just go to the General section. Every other thread is someone making sweeping speculations about the next Nexus based on absolutely nothing.
What it really comes down to is absolutely nothing out there right now gives any firm evidence that anything is happening. We'll see soon enough, but right now we have absolutely no idea what the future holds for another Nexus device. Its quite pointless to speculate right now.

Still, people will speculate about it, no matter if there's a hint or not...

Obligatory "xoom got 4.0.4 before nexus" thread.

Blah blah blah, I don't care, please post here if you do because no one will read it because no one cares.
This thread is to gather you all in one place for summary execution.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Better yet. Hopefully an interested party starts another thread.
some members on this forum reported that yesterday/today they have recived an official OTA 4.0.4 for GSM Nexus S.....maybe that is a good sign for us (GNX users)
i bet this won't be the only thread about it
The neckbeards will be agitated tonight.
Honestly I don't care. 4.0.4 leaked way before anyways and if you own the Nexus and didn't flash, well shame on you.
Anyways why do people feel the need to start these kind of threads about the Nexus? Seems like people love trolling on the Nexus. Carry on with your day now.

I sorta care because I want the update but at the same time I dont care because I can do fine without it and my phone is working just fine on 4.0.2

A preemptive thread!
Some people don't understand the purpose of it tho, if they read the op they might.

Nexus isn't Nexus anymore.
i don't really care if the xoom gets 4.0.4 now and we are up for 4.0.5 in a week. however, what is going on with the ics source code? why isn't 4.0.4 up and available?

Personally, I could care less about when we get the update as long as it's bug free. What bothers me is Google isn't even saying whether they are working on it. I don't care if they don't give us a release date BUT when all these other phones and tablets are getting 4.0.3 and higher, the supposed base version of ICS, it's frustrating. At least give us whatever source code you're working on, Google. But, until then, my Nexus doesn't have any real issues (I think one reboot in the 3 weeks I've had it, and that's the only issue other than battery life I've had) so I can wait. The update will come soon enough, I guess.
agree, pissed off, however I do think we will see 4.0.5 before all the other devices out there..I really hope so

Samsung Galaxy Nexus officially launched in India @Rs 25,900 (464$)

The Galaxy Nexus is now available in Samsung stores in India for Rs 25,990. It comes with 4.1 onboard
This is for the 16GB GSM edition.
Samsung was supposed to launch this phone in India earlier this year but they delayed it several times before canceling it altogether. We assume that they wanted the consumers to buy their Galaxy S III smartphone instead.
Samsung Galaxy S III however is too pricey for a lot of people. Samsung does not have any new model in the 25-30K market. Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note are old models. This fits into this segment of the market perfectly.
If you are indeed looking for an Android smartphone for around Rs. 25000, this is the best device you can buy. It is a dual core phone officially supported by Google and we hear it is being shipped with Jelly Bean edition of Android!
Great!!
So we will get warranty which we bought from eBay

Umm, no. It is NOT officially launched. They are selling it in Samsung Stores unofficially without warranty (well, software-only warranty which means no warranty),

Are you for real? I called a couple of Samsung Stores and asked about the launch news today. One said next month and rest all said no idea.
Kindly confirm this please? I'm on the verge of buying one without the bill from a non-Samsung store.

Yes, I am really real, trust me

source released

Samsung has posted the i317 source on their opensource website....
Just to prove how desperate for a real challenge I am, I think I might go ahead and sell my n7100 and do dev on the i317. I just hope doing a US-only variant will keep 15 year old kids (wait, he's 16 now) from stealing my work and taking donations for it.
That, by the way, was the major reason I've backed off from doing open development over the past couple months. The fact that XDA seems to be supporting that kind of behavior has only discouraged me further.

I've been there. Had a guy steal my entire rom, change the name, a few images and pawn it off as his own. Only found out because another member alerted me. However in my case, thread was locked and infraction given.
It sucks when people take advantage of us like that Gary. However I for one am glad you picked the 317 :good::highfive:
About time..lol...I knew it would be quick...
In desperate need of any ROM for i317. Soft bricked my phone via installing Chainfire3D.
This is uncomfortable:

Thanks
Gary
There you go, but can't help with black cat...
Thanks
Can someone explain what this exactly means. I've read that Samsung is just releasing minimal stuff and saying they are being supportive of development. I'm thinking about switching to the Note II on Friday from ATT SGS3, but I am scared of it having an exynos processor and not have much rom support.
DAGr8 to the Note 2? Could it be?

If the Note 2 is really that awesome as you call it, why jump ship? Heck why worry about the software update at all?
Just saying. It is a great device but i wont ditch it just because an update takes a while.
I have a HTC One, Nexus 4 and Note 2.
When i put 4.3 on my HTC One i made that my primary phone. When the Note 2 gets 4.3 ill make that my primary for a while.
Guess that sounded disgruntled. Sorry bout that, didn't mean to come off that way.
It's just that I've had android since cupcake and the longer I continue with android the more I realize one of my favorite parts is the expedited progression of it. Over the years I've become quite find of the updates. I guess you can say it's become something I look forward to. It's not that I loath this device by any means but my preference is leaning towards the update facet of it. The only logical conclusion to meet my happiness is climbing aboard the nexus train.
Why is the right door always locked?
That makes more sense.. I was like, whoa, this guy thinks the phone is awesome why is he jumping ship. LOL.
I think im in a unique position working in the wireless biz fixing / repairing them and buying and selling them. .
Im looking forward to my Note 2 getting 4.3. Im actually going to make it my daily phone for a week just to test it out again. My Nexus 4 was my daily phone as well till i put 4.3 on my HTC One.. Its a natural progression.
Now i see your whole statement in a different light, less angry and more hey time to try something different..
Nah.. not angry in the least. I think I'm just ready for a change of pace that's all.
Why is the right door always locked?

is it safe to use Note 7 Hongkong Version SM-N9300?

Today Samsung requested all the Samsung Note 7 Owners to Switch off their phone and stop using it.
I have a Note 7 Hongkong version SM-N9300, Which has a Green Battery and the Faulty Tests shows that my phone is NOT among the Affected ones.
My Question is "IS IT SAFE TO USE MY PHONE NOW?

As far as I know the actual recall is currently in the US only (Not Australia, according to Samsung. I asked them) however I'd guess it's going to be worldwide very soon. And this includes all the replacement ones that were deemed "safe".
So, your Note 7 will /probably/ be recalled soon enough. Nobody can tell if your phone is safe though. Impossible to know.

Samsung Hong Kong just announced earlier for all people with HK Note 7s to stop using and return the phone. To be honest, the potential battery problem ALWAYS included China and HK phones, Samsung's HK and China divisions were just shady as hell and kept selling on September 2 when Samsung headquarters first announced they made a huge mistake. Samsung HK has been getting killed online by people for weeks for seemingly apathy. I'm surprised they acted so soon this time to echo what the rest of the world is doing.
so long story short, no, your HK note is included in the call for return. All note 7s are. the phone is done.
Well my Note 7 is perfectly fine. The battery and everything is perfectly fine. NO HEAT ISSUE. i am trying to contact the person who sold it to me to check what the supplier stand on this.
Anyways thanks everyone.
I just wonder the problem is not the battery but rather the processor.
The one in China are not exynos which produce more heat
The Recall is GLOBAL, as in INTERNATIONAL. NO SAMSUNG NOTE 7 IS SAFE! RETURN IT!
Seems to me this forum is frequented by Samsung-haters and/or trolls.
