I got GoSMS and I love it but I noticed that all the themes are "free to download" but they cost to apply....bummer.
Does anyone know of the motherload of FREE GoSMS themes?
Answered my own question:

Anybody have a source for more?

Wondering if anybody has or knows where to get free animated mms christmas templates?
Searched the internet but only paid templates came up. Free ones would be just great in this time of year
What a crap disappointment. Perhaps Next Year...
I've looked for other types of instant messaging on the market, but the only decent one is eBuddy, is there another developed but not in the market app for Android?
Anyone got any helpful information?
Does anyone know how, or if it's even possible, to change the sms bubble color? They picked some of the worst colors for stock. Also, I am rooted. And yes I tried the search function first, but it is down at the moment so please don't flame me.
Download alternative sms app from the market or else you will have to theme it by yourself.
My favorite sms app is Go dev sms app. Go check it out.
I've tried some other sms apps but I actually like the stock one. I guess I'll have to do some research, but is it very hard to theme it on your own?

Don't worry mate, you posted in the right section and this is a rarely covered topic (in fact its one I battled with back on the Epic 4G). To answer your question, yes and no. Having never delved into the TW Messaging app I have no idea if you'd simply have to create and replace an image file or if we're talking massive edits. My advice would be to get a program like WinZip or 7zip and open the messaging apk with it. Look around for the images related to the bubbles and see if replacing them works.
Sup.
So, today while searching for a replacement for my stock texting app, I stumbled on KiK. Being silly, I misread that you could text people that were non- kik members from the app itself, so I happily downloaded it and ...was sorely disappointed.
My question is if anyone, ANYONE, could help me find something or someone to develop a theme VERY CLOSE to KiK's. I love the screen and how simple it is. I am not in need of a free texting service as I can afford unlimited etc, so I just want something that looks or CAN look VERY similar to KiK to replace my stock...please, can ANYONE help me?
(yes I have tried handcent and chomp and I have GoSMS Pro, but they aren't exactly what I am looking for though if someone knows any themes for GO SMS pro that looked similar or such let me know!)
Thankyou!
Hi all,
I have tried to find out the answer to this in so many places but I have come up without any answers, so am hoping someone here can help.
When I receive a text message it shows up with the time I received the message, not the time it was sent. Even if I go to "View Message Details" it will show me the received time but not the sent time.
I asked a friend who has a HTC (I don't know anyone else with a Xperia S) phone and he says it shows him the time the message was sent, so I'm wondering if it's a bug with my phone or if it's an issue with the default messaging app from Sony.
Anyway, how do I get it to show me the date and time a text message was SENT to me, and NOT the time I received it?
Many thanks in advance,
Bungle2000
Sony Xperia S LT26i

You can't it only shows the sender of the message the time it was sent while the receiver gets to see the time it was received
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium

Thanks Hayden, does that mean it's just an issue with the default messaging app that Sony provide or is it an issue with the phone?
Would a different messaging app help clear this up or would I need a modded software?
Does anyone know?
Anyone know if this is an issue with the phone or with the default messaging app or Android OS??

it is the same problem that i had with xperia x10...if you use another sms/mms app from market (like handcent) you can see the sent time too
Anyone tried Sliding Messaging?
Thanks guys, I've read about the 2 big sms alternatives for Android - Handcent and Go SMS and there is a lot of people saying that they have become too big for their use.
I like the SMS app on the Xperia S, but I think it's a total UI design flaw to show only time received from incoming messages.
I've read some good things about Sliding Messaging and I've heard it's made by someone from XDA Developers, has anyone tried this?
Thanks,
