Did it download the update and ask if you want to install?
If so check /cache/fota and /data/fota and seeif theres a .zip in there. Make a copy please if there is one.

In cache/fota, there is an update.zip. I can make a copy of it. Just give me 2 minutes.

I'm uploading it to 4shared, apparently going to take around 13 minutes. It won't show any personal information I assume, correct?

Are you on a h2 rom? 95 mb sounds like H2 update from 2 months ago (or last month I don't remember)
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2

Nope, none at all. Its just a patch ota like we've been using from sammobile.
Thanks btw!
I can let you guys know what it is and how to use once I can download it.

Lg1 was an update TMo was using on the later new production phones. Your getting updated to LH2. Original release phones came with T999UVALEM.

Anyway to answer OP question, you root with the same method....regardless of your update. I did however hear that you might need a newer version of su.
Not su 3.0.5 but some other version....don't know where to get it either but maybe someone can help you from here. In summary.....SAME METHOD DIFFERENT SUPERUSER FILE VERSION.

New Radio and Various OTA Updates 1/25

I'm rooted, on Tmo US, and on the Koodo ROM.
Do I have to be completely stock to receive the update either OTA or manually through Kies?
Best to be on stock. You will have problems updating using anything other than stock. I think you need stock recovery too.

You don't need stock recovery to update via Kies, but you will have to reinstall custom recovery and reroot afterward. No such issue if you just flash the radio, though.

That is actually the Puerto Rican latest release.
I had it yesterday...but deleted it.
I remember that it had these features:
It was NOT an i747M ROM
It was plain i747
I downloaded it in December.
It wasn't a stock ROM that I rooted...it came rooted and it was a flash able zip
Was completely stock with ATT Boot screen and ATT Apps
So there someone just give me a direct link

OTA update over rooted device?

I was reading that there's an OTA update launching (currently only in Germany), and I was wondering, so i would know in the future, if I could update my rooted S4. Would the software update interfere with root? Will it take it off or what?
I'm on stock rom btw

Most likely you would loose ROOT with an OTA update.
The only way you would not loose root with an OTA update
would be if the update did not contain a kernel.
Good luck!
You can't update if you're rooted. Just wait for the devs to incorporate the update into their roms.

Did some research.
You can update if you have root, but you will lose root, just like the second post said. I use a the stock rom, I don't use any custom roms so I can't depend on your second statement.
