Anyone know what Nightly LTE works on? I reverted back to 9 25 to get bluetooth working but I cant seem to find one to get LTE back.
Thanks.
I was on the last unofficial nightly 8-15 and it was working. I believe it has been working on all of the official nightlies.
It works-ish.
Unless you have consistent LTE signal everywhere you go, it will sometimes get stuck when switching between 3g and LTE. Toggling airplane mode typically fixes it, though I have been stuck even after that before, and it required a reboot.
I noticed that it connected, blue bars, for a second or two then it disconnects, grey bars.
I'm going to try 10 2 and see if LTE works.
It worked when I was in Baltimore for a bit

Still no luck. Is there something that I'm missing?

How is this overlooked in every aosp rom?? This has been well documented, it is a bug. The hand off between lte and 3g is sporadic.

I did a factory reset and 4G seems ok now. It does drop now and then, once in ~20 hours, but like Felnarion said airplane mode fixed it.

The problem will come back. For me, it comes back, and I can't seem to get it to reconnect to 4g without a factory reset.

The phone itself doesn't connect to eHRPD at all, which is the technology used to transition between EvDo and LTE smoothly. I haven't seen the cm10 support it yet, which is why the handoffs are all messed up.

So i just flashed the latest ICS leak and so far i am loving it. my question is about the signal bar glitchy-ness. im not complaining. As much as asking if there is a solution yet. my 3g is about as reliable as mitt romneys voting record. Possibly could just be due to sprints ungodly slow data in my area. it wont allow me to update prl or anything? idk. any thoughts?

The signal bar is not yet stable. I'm surprised you're getting anything at all there. I wasn't able to update profile or prl either. I tried about 10 times...

This is the best comparison I've read all week.
So is it my actual signal that is spotty? it finally let me update profile and prl. but at work haven't tried a call yet. or is it just the signal bar visually freaking out. cause honestly. it seems data it actually working fairly well, although slowly. (sprint...)

It's the signal bar itself. It isn't displaying correct signal. You may have full signal but your bars will not show it
Edit: I was also able to update profile and prl
This is so cool though!

I read somewhere that the reason you may have "no" signal is because the fb17 signal indicator only has 4 bars as opposed to 6 bars on gb. So where before you would have one or two bars, now it only shows no bars. As far as i know even if it shows no bars, if the icon is there and not an "x" then you do have signal. I could be wrong though.

I had a weird thing happen with my signal today. It kept going out, and data just wouldn't work! Although the 3G icon was there nothing would download. Here is a pic of the connection status! Look at the mobile network type!

i had this happen to me for like two weeks on and off. After a while it would do this to me while the bars were blue! I tried toggling my data on and off, toggling airplane on and off, rebooting and even calling sprint to have them restart my data. This even followed me from rom to rom. The only way I got rid of it was to download the complete FH05 jellybean tar and odin back to stock jelly bean. I tried to odin to FD02 and except the ota but it followed me there too. Its wierd, and it started after I flashed a certain rom(wont name it cuz i cant be sure it had anything to do with it) and then the rom gave me some probs I wiped and restored my nandroid of cm10 I had before I flashed the mystery rom and thats when it started. And cm10 was working awesome for like three weeks before the mystery rom flash. I mean problems dont just pop up, theyre either there or theyre not.
Well I ended up calling Sprint today to find out what the problem was and they told me it was due to some tower being worked on! Maybe it has to do with the LTE?
I've had that happen to me a couple of times. Mainly its when I had it set to run on GSM/Edge/LTE/HSPA+ mode.
Its just due to the way your phone finds the best tower. It shouldn't hurt your phone, or affect your data in any way. Just switch your roaming profile to home only. It should fix it.
And to the Photoshop guy...
Are you that stupid? Seriously, use your mind. It doesn't look photoshopped. Even if it was, it would be a decent work.

I seem to have the weirdest problem with my phone. After upgrading to jellybean, I've come across times where as I'm on my phone, using Bluetooth, the phone would reset. However, when the phone boots back up, the call resumes and I can continue my conversation. The call didn't drop. Also, if I'm doing something on the phone (ie, send a text message) when I switch between Wi-Fi and network, the phone freezes and I have to do a battery pull to fix it.
I took it to Sprint and the tech couldn't find anything wrong. Any help world be greatly appreciated.
I'm running an unrooted, stock version.

Only thing I could think of would be a factory data reset (which will erase everything).

Have you tried rooting it today and running FreeGS3 rom? see if that will fix it....
I had this issue when running the 10/31 kt kernel for aosp with cm10. Funny side story, I was on a conference call using a Bluetooth headset and I was muted via the dialer. I walked into a bathroom stall, started to go number 1 loudly and carelessly when my phone appeared to reboot. It didn't and it came back, on the call, unmuted. Needless to say I had to do some pinching in a hurry.
I switched kernels and the problem went away. What was unique about that kernel was that it used the latest wifi driver. I haven't tried a kernel with that driver since. Maybe you could try to downgrade your official rom and see if that helps but if try a factory reset first before doing that.

Thanks y'all. I'll try a factory reset first and see if that helps. It's good to know that I wasn't the only one having this problem.
Why does the GPS area in the screenshot show over 90 minutes of usage when I have GPS turned off? Any ideas?

Facebook has been long known to be a poorly coded app (even the newest version) I've stuck to using the browser only because it's so buggy. I'd chalk it up to that...
Turn location off inside settings of app.

The lastest build of their app is by far the worst I have used personally. Someone posted an older build which does not have as many features, but it is way less buggy.
LMK if you want a link.

im seeing the same problem on my phone now, simply annoying. its my #1 battery drain even without using the phone or app.
app can be completely off, not on process list, gps turned off, location turned off in app, still goes up! might start using the mobile site instead of app.... until this can be fixed

That's exactly what was happening with my phone. I've been using the app that dschreiber69 provided earlier in this thread, but because Facebook eats so much battery on this phone I haven't been using it much anymore. Furthermore, I haven't been using Facebook much on either my phone or a computer. I'm getting sick of it, same crap every day. Nothing new. Blah.
Hi all,
I have updated to the stock Google 4.2.2 when it became available, and since then I have been having problems placing calls / sending text messages. When I try to dial, the dialer just hangs there for about 30 seconds and than disconnects. I also have to resend messages multiple times. Sometimes connection disappears completely. At other times I have LTE and can stream music, but calls will not come through. Rebooting it fixed the issue for a short period of time.
Currently, I am running LiquidSmooth after a clean reinstall. Everything works, however the calling / texting problem persists as described above.

I noticed that according the XDA wiki the baseband is (I515.09 V.FK01 / I515.FK02). I however have I515.10. Could this be the issue?
Thanks
