My Wife and I have had the Verizon Galaxy Nexus since Winter, I am a big Nexus, fan, having owned all three Nexus phones. But also had a few HTC phones too, over the years. Next to stock vanilla Android UI, I think Sense is the second best, but since JB, I am thinking stock Android is really the only UI to have now.
Anyways, getting sick of Verizon's prices, we want to move to the GSM Unlocked Nexus or "international" One X, my two Brothers have the Nexus from the Play Store running on Straight Talk for $45/month, and they LOVE it, zero issues whatsoever, and that would be well over 150% cheaper than what we pay on Verizon. Plus CDMA radios suck battery faster than GSM in my opinion. Standby time on GSM is better.
Long story short I found a mint condition "International" One X in white, on sale for $325. I picked the one up 10 days ago. Here is my opinion of it running Sense and CM10 based ROM's and comparing it to the Galaxy LTE Nexus.
First off, the white One X is an absolutely beautiful device, very cool looking phone, and high quality, the best looking Android phone ever sold, hands down no question. Makes the Nexus look cheap and poorly designed.
The Good;
- Screen is amazing, super clear and very sharp. Reading text and news websites is so clear and easy on the eyes. At first I thought it looked washed out and dull compared to Super AMOLED from Samsung, but after a few days, I started thinking the Samsung screen sucked now, it looked cartoony in colors, and whites blow on the Nexus, where as the One X, it looks so real and true in color, and super crisp sharp. The One X is the best screen on a smartphone today, better than the iPhone5 screen my Sister owns.
- Design of the phone, just a work of art.
- Size and weight, it is very thin, and lightweight.
- Battery life on Sense ROM's is amazing, 5 hours on screen time, easily 1 day + of heavy use, this Tegra 3 is a beast with a good Sense ROM and the right kernel. Crazy good battery life with the right setup of custom ROM and battery kernel.
- When CM10 ROM's are working well, they are beautiful on the One X, and run super smooth as "butter", and crazy fast, with zero lag whatsoever. CM10 makes the One X feel like a next generation Nexus-Four ( CM10 battery life is mentioned below, in the BAD file )
The Bad;
- No S-Off yet, and doubtful if ever. This is a major bad point to me. Installing ROM's and kernels is a pain in the **** on this phone, frustrating and stupid. Always have to have the phone plugged into the PC, and go into boot loader and flash the boot.img through Command prompt on your PC, then boot into Recovery and do the flashing, but only the ROM, then the kernel must also go through that long process too, after a full reboot. And updating ROM's still need to do it. Basically you can't just flash in recovery and be done, now way, it is a long drawn out process of bull****. And if you don;t have the correct boot.img flashed in Command Prompt, good luck.
- Sense sucks. I know Sense based ROM's have insane good battery life, but there is no JellyBean Sense yet officially, so they still 4.0.4 based, and Sense just looks outdated and like from Gingerbread still. I tried 4 different Sense ROM's all with custom options to make it look like AOSP, and LOL they don't look like AOSP, still has the Sense crap in menus and running behind the scenes. Ever since Google released Android 4.0 ICS, in my opinion, there is no more need need for Sense or Touchwizz, stock vanilla Android is just the best now.
- Custom AOSP ROM's = HOLY SH!T bad battery life. There are some cool CM10 ROM's for the "international" One X, but everyone one of them has bugs here and there, or stuff not working 100% yet. And battery life is a ****ing joke, easily 60% less, compared to Sense based ROM's. I tried 4 different CM10 ROM's with three of the top kernels, and battery just blew chunks. But CM10 does run lightning fast on the One X.
To wrap this up, My Wife and I still need to get one more "Unlocked" phone to use on Straight Talk, and I was all set originally on getting 2 International One X's, but now after 10 days with the HoX, I am for sure going back to a Nexus, and will buy a GSM Nexus off the Play Store. Stock vanilla Android running a Nexus device is the best.
I would definitely stick with the One X easily if they did two things; allowed S-Off for true Recovery flashing. And CM10 ROM's mature and get stable with good battery life. I do think those two might happen, at least CM10 should be much better after a few more weeks or a month, they just started the official Nightly's on the One X last week, so it needs more development time. And S-Off might happen once with One + phone is released with Jellybean, but that's a big maybe.
For now, I will stick with Nexus phone, like I have the last three years.

If CM10 on the One X was stable and had good battery life, like it does on my Nexus, then for sure I much prefer stock Jellybean on the One X, it is a nicer phone, and is very fast and smooth.
But CM10 on the One X, is a long ways from being solid with battery life, I am sure needs a good month of development time still, and we shall see from there...but the developers working on CM10 ROM's for the HoX are very smart and good guys, they will figure it out sooner than later I am sure, and it will be just as good as Sense based ROM's hopefully.
Now if the Nexus 5 rumors are true, which says it will be a HTC One X+ type of phone, I would welcome that BIG TIME, it is a very nice phone, just needs stock vanilla Android made specifically for it, and S-Off.
Nexus is about software not hardware at most what they try to innovate on is display which it the time was top of the line

Since you're using the HoX GSM (Int'l version) I thought I'd ask here - my brother has it and every so often the signal drops out - he's on stock firmware no root etc. Signals are fine for the same network, in the same place, on my GNex though. It's the second HoX my bro is using after we exchanged the first thinking it was faulty but the same signal inconsistency shows up on the new one as well. I've read that there might be some issues with the HoX signals (radios?), Have U noticed anything of the sort? He's thinking of switching to the SGS3 or GNex because of this prob. (Physically, gotta agree with you, It's a beautiful piece of hardware, wonderful to hold and use)
Thanks.
This was the heart of the matter for me with my s3 before I changed it for a nexus. The dev team working on the port of cm10 are excellent but due to samsungs source issues, they have not been able to get it bug free yet.
After sticking with it for a while I decided it would never be as good as Jb on the nexus. That's why I changed
Am I the only one that thinks the One X is more on the fugly side of the fence?
Fwiw a custom kernel such as Franco on the Gnex will let you tweak the colors and make the whites truly white again. While I agree the onex has an amazing screen, and my greyish-blue tinted screen used to bother me, after flashing Franco kernel, and using some settings found in various xda threads, my display finally looks much better. Whites look white, and it's not as cartoony as you put it.

Over the weekend I installed the latest CM10 for the One X, and man has it improved greatly. Very stable now, with much better battery life. The standby time on the One X is amazing on battery life. And on screen time, I can go 4 hours screen time, unplugged a full day before battery drains, where as my Verizon Nexus is lucky to get 2.5 hours screen time, and dead in 12 - 14 hours. I know the GSM Nexus is substantially better on battery, it seems the Verizon Nexus just plain sucks. And I never use 4G/LTE, and battery life still sucks. I have installed different ROM's, different kernels, no sync, no GPS, no 4G, and using it daily I just can't get long battery life.
How's WiFi and data connectivity on one x as stock? I hear people are having problems with that.

IMHO HTC One series are well made. Where as Samsung seems to like producing plastic fantastic phones, the HTC Ones are metal and have premium grade feel to it.
I agree Sense and Touchwiz... along with whatever mfg over-lays should go the way of the dinosaur. Let Android be Android.
Haven't had the chance to really check out any of the new One series phones, but I loved the build quality of my Evo. Felt solid and well constructed. It's the only thing about my Nexus that I might call a gripe. Just feels a little under built. With some extra care I don't think it will be a problem in the long term, but it does make me a bit nervous. We've all had that klutzy moment!

Got a SH26W One X. Wifi is somehow better than the 2 previous HOX batches I got. But it's still that I sometimes get no connection for no reason.
But HOX had some serius production faults, e.g. bad Wifi antenna connection, screen ripple, screen flex and so on... Gotta say that my GNEX's production quality is much better than my HOX's... But HOX has lotta more power, 4 sure

As someone previously said, the Nexus line is not for top of the line hardware. Newer phones such as the HTC One X and Galaxy SIII are going to obviously win out in hardware and probably build quality, but when the next version of Android comes out I can tell you who will have it first, and that is all that matters to me. Especially since the hardware on both of those phones will be outdated in a couple months.

My wife's og Droid took a poop so I bought an Incredible which I'll have in a day or 2. I love my X but am thinking about swapping her to have something new (to me) to play with until I upgrade this summer. Plus the X is crippled with its locked bootloader. Has anyone here had both and prefer one over the other? Decisions decisions....

Droid x is nice if you like big screens and motoblur. But if you want to root and flash new roms the incredible is the way to go. Its also more pocketable.
Droid x by a mile. The Droid x is a better built phone, it has (in my opinion) a more capable processor, has a bigger screen (that's kind of a personal preference), HDMI out, many times better battery life, offical gingerbread, and the Motoblur is a) not as bad as everyone says (sense is so much worse and uses resources) and b) can be practically disabled through a custom rom.
However, I think that you shouldn't get either device if you can avoid it, go for a newer device, both are almost a year old now.

I'm on Apex so I pretty much have zero blur. The purchase of the Inc is to immediately replace her d1 with a better (and working) phone. Whichever I do (either keep my X or give it to her and take the Inc), it will shortly be replaced by the next unlocked bootloader - 4g - front facing camera - dual core Android phone.
Thanks for the opinions ppl!

Well I'm going to say the Inc, custom kernels can all but eliminate the battery life problem, and I find the Droid X's screen just too big. AMOLED or SLCD will kick the crap out of the X's screen in quality any day too. ROM selection on the Inc blows the X out of the water and chokes it to death, and the Inc ROM dev community will, at this rate, go much longer than the X's. Sense is much better than any kind of Blur, and if you don't want either, the Inc has the option of good, clean CM7, as well as OMGB/OMFGB for a more stock experience than even CM7. When I bought the Inc, I bought it from a hardware and software perspective; Sense beats Blur, better screen/screen size on the Inc, didn't even think about custom ROMs at that point. I'd still heartily recommend the Droid Incredible to anyone, even at this point in its lifespan.
do you have gingerbread on the x yet?
My first android phone was an X. I rooted it and installed custom roms and loved it. Then one day I bought an incredible on a whim, and I liked it SO much better. IMO, HTC makes way better phones than motorola. The inc has an unlocked bootloader, which is great for trying out different radios and kernels. I think the incredible's size is very nice, and the screen IS a lot prettier (SCLD or AMOLED are nicer). Lastly, there is a lot more ROM development and options. Not to mention the incredible has cyanogenmod, which is more or less considered the best AOSP ROM out there.
The only kicker is going to be the battery life. Even if you install a good ROM you probably won't be able to make it through the whole day if you use it a decent amount. The extended batteries are getting cheaper on Amazon though, since the phone is nearing it's end of life.
Hope that helped! I would totally go for the swap. You can always swap back if you hate it! (And have a nice wife. )

Lets get cracking on this one.
The processor, the TI OMAP vs the Qualcomm Snapdragon, both clocked at 1 GHz give little to no real difference in performance minus a couple 100 points in benchmarks.
The Incredible still has TV out, HDMI is nice and all, but I wouldn't consider it a deal breaker.
Gingerbread is more then accessible through Cyanogenmod, and if not the OTA should be out soon enough if you dig Sense. Plus the tons of other ROMs we have avalible at our disposal. Plus all of the custom kernals that allow overclocking, underclocking, overvolting, undervolting, SBC, HAVS/Smartass, ect.
I love the screen size on the X, but the actual screen sharpness and brightness is pretty lacking vs our AMOLED or SLCD screens side by side. This is MY take on it, and like others have posted, function over form. Also, just wait for something new to come out, or at least get an X2.
DINC FTW.
Slap some Virtuous on that puppy with the HeyItsLou Kernal and you're set. BEEYAH!
So I got the inc and I'm very disappointed. I'm trying to root using unrevoked and after the first reboot when it tries to "run root" the phone reboots itself before it's finished, causing an error. Now the phone keeps rebooting shortly after the boot animation. I can unlock the screen and before it's finished loading it'll reboot.
Some details:
Stock Android 2.2
Unrevoked 3.2
Correct hboot drivers
Usb debugging is on
Charge only - remember this
Factory Reset does not fix the reboot issue for me.
I've done this for a buddy's inc last year with not a single problem as well as an evo so I'm familiar with unrevoked and htc devices.

He...he didn't...wow, he did.
Put any Motorola device against an equivalent HTC device and watch the Motorola crash and burn. And now HTC will be unlocking all bootloaders. Game over. To the OP, you might have an SLCD device, which I heard causes problems with rooting. Do make a new thread, your problem will be solved in no time.

Problem not solved (unless you count returning for a refund solved). I finally got it rooted, cm7'd, and constantly rebooted. Another gb sense rom, constant rebooted. Ruu stock, constant rebooted. I wish the inc I received wasn't faulty. I was looking forward to playing with it until the latest and greatest came out this summer. It wasn't a problem on my end, it did that since I opened it from the package before attempting to even check it out in its stock form.

Heya guys,
I've got the ever present upgrade itch that everyone here must know about......
I'm really looking into a good phone camera that has decent battery life as well since I can't always bring me DSLR with me around all the time.
How development and everything for the One X? Battery life? I'm looking specifically at the international version.
Thanks
Development is great. Some solid roms for this device within the first month. Can't imagine what it will be like in half a year or when there's an s-off exploit found. Obviously the phone has some great attraction for some of the features it carries and the design.
On ARHD rom right now I get about 18-22 hours of battery life moderate usage, light usage a couple of days, and heavy usage about 10 hours. I'm very satisfied with this phone. Some other people can drop there comments and let you know; also, there's an official reviews thread you should probably check out.

Here's some info on battery life. It's better than the GN. But the GN has the option of extended and replacable batteries which the One X doesn't.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25725630&postcount=25
As for the camera, I don't think it's finished yet. There's been discussion about noise and compression. Some of the pics I've taken in iffy light haven't been that great. The h/w's there I think the s/w needs some tweaking. If you could live with the camera on the GN the One X will be a step up.

The 10 hours probably around 5-6 hours of continuous screen display running videos, games, and other tasks. No sense issues at all except for it uses a lot more battery than pure ics. The screen flickering is unconfirmed as to what is the underlying issue (software or hardware) related. HTC is looking into the screen flickering right now, and launcher reloading I've never had.
I'd say wait 1 month.
QC issues iron over time. S-OFF is not ready as yet. The lack of such 'freedom' will be shocking to a GN user.
Custom ROMs for this device are excellent both in quality and quantity. This is a very popular handset, thus community support is very high.
Battery life is really good. Depending on screen usage you can get 1.5 days usage easy. Heavy usage will obviously reduce that by a lot.

OK so I have a galaxy nexus and got it on launch back in november. I picked up a one x because I really liked the look of it, but so far I can't decide which phone to keep.
The One X is great because it’s lovely to hold, has a fantastic screen and a very decent camera. But the software lets it down – and that’s not some lazy complaint. I’ve owned the phone for two weeks. Whilst Sense 4.0 is a big improvement over previous versions, I still struggle to find any part of it where it’s better than stock ICS, except perhaps the lockscreen which allows multiple targets. But that functionality is common in custom ICS ROMs anyway.
Stock ICS is, I feel, about as good as Android could be at the moment. This makes having to put up with the unnecessary ‘embellishments’ and changes on the One X is frustrating. HTC’s launcher is also considerably laggier than the stock Android 4.0 launcher, and whilst installing Nova launcher helps, I’m not sure why HTC felt the need to use their own anyway.
I must say I totally agree with The Verge’s conclusion on the One X – with stock ICS, it could be the best Android phone ever. Until then… Im just not sure which phone to keep!

I'm in the same position, I'm really not sure which one to keep either - I suspect I will still be saying the same in two months time though!
HTC should have gone out on a limb and developed a dual boot - let the users decide whether they want to run sense or stock.

Yeah I've had the phone nearly a month and still can't decide! Argh
Someone's developing a CM9 port over at Modaco and it's getting close to finished (just a few bugs left to squash). So if it's good enough, I might just install it and sell the Nexus.

thanks
any other comments? battery, camera, screen etc? usability?
I've only used an older version for a few minutes, but on the surface everything works fine. It's mostly just odd bugs they're sorting out now. I'd link the thread, but things are a bit iffy between XDA and the developer at Modaco.
Either way, back on my GNex now and it feels like an old friend. Love this phone.
I'm always a little iffy about all of the phones I buy but I'm sold on the Galaxy Nexus (Maguro). There really is no phone like it. I'm gonna go ahead and do a mini review since I know Gnex owners like seeing positive experiences.
Background: I basically came from an iPhone and a One X. I was an Android purist when I first started my smartphone venture with the myTouch 3G and the Evo 4G. Due to battery life problems and countless defects, I went to the iPhone for a year and found myself incredibly bored. Recently, I purchased the One X, but it was also plagued by manufacturer defects and Sense killed it for me. No use having great hardware on an platform that isn't optimized.
I decided to look into the Gnex because I saw a deal on the Play Store and I love the pure Android experience. I have to say, I've never had a smartphone experience like this. I received the phone quick as hell from Google (two day shipping). From first impressions the hardware looked incredibly well made: no hardware buttons, sleek and well thought out design, etc.
Turned on the phone and I was so happy to see just the Google trademark and the Nexus boot animation with no carrier branding or bloat. The phone has a bright, vivid screen that easily rivals the One X, snappy performance and feels great in the hand. So, as any logical Android power user would do, I unlocked the bootloader, rooted my phone and began flashing to see which setup fit me best.
I finally found my favorite. Right now, I'm on:CyanogenMod 2012-06-13-NIGHTLY-MAGURO with Trinity STABLE65.
Only thing I needed now was to experience daily use of my phone to determine whether or not it was a winner. As of today, I'm sold. I took my phone off the charger yesterday around 10:15 AM to head to the beach. Took pictures, texted, made a few phone calls. Left the beach at 5 PM, went to the mall and ran around the whole mall busting missions using my phone with horrible signal. Left home, got ready to go out, went to a party and spent the night texting, browsing the Internet, taking pictures, and making phone calls. I came home at 5 AM, fell asleep, woke up today at 11 AM, and the phone is still going! 1d 2h turned on with 30% left. I have finally found the phone for me. Not even my One X gave me such good results.
Not only that, pictures at night come out fantastic, to the point that I make my iPhone friends jealous. I removed bootanimation.zip so now I only see the Android logo when the phone boots. I copied modded Sans Serif fonts to my system/fonts folder and now I see Emoji system wide. I tweaked the screen colors, customized my phone to my desire, and I'm still not done making it exactly how I want it.And to top it off, everyone asks me about my phone. When they hold it they can't believe how light it feels in the hand. When they use it they say "I didn't know Android was this easy to use."
So yeah, thats my experience with the Gnex and I thought you all might like seeing it. I hope you guys have similar experiences. I'm loving my Gnex. Cheers!

I went from the Desire to the Desire HD, and the build quality of the DHD was appalling. I sold it rooted about a week later and spent another happy 22 months with my Desire before upgrading to the Nexus.
I'd like to give the SGS III a go, but I just can't be bothered with the home button and the dedicated soft keys, I'm sure you can deactivate them, but I am made up with Black Ice without a nav bar, LMT is the best thing ever invented.

Its just the opposite....GSM has way better life then there cdma version. Lte kills the battery. I'm on T-Mobile and this is the best battery life I've ever seen stock and then when u throw a trinity kernel on it u can easily get a day and a half....and I've had a lot of phones this phone is awesome

Wtf is up with the misconception about gsm battery life. It's great, and anybody who says otherwise is missing something. The pics below are 30% brightness, data on and syncing entire time. And these results are not abnormal for RAScream + trinity users. Standard size battery.

I have the verizon cdma version, and while it may not get as good battery life as the gsm version, it's still pretty good. You just have to find a rom/kernel combo that you and your phone likes. On average I get about 2-3 hours of screen time, depending on what I'm doing, and lasts a full day.

Not all countries launched the phone on the same date. Besides, not everybody is willing to pay the price difference for a SGS3, the Gnex still can deal with any app with no problems, the dev support for a Nexus Device has no rival.
So yes, reviews at this point in time are still very welcome.
I bought the GNexus about 20 days ago, my first nexus and I don't think I can go back to a no nexus phone. The pure android experience and this community are awesome.
I have tried AOKP+ Franco, Rascream + Trinity and for me rascream + Franco has delivered the best performance.

Hi Folks. My first post on here but have been messing with Android since G1 and was with my trusted Galaxy Nexus until last week I bought the HTC One X.
I must admit that S-On is a pain and i have found it more difficult to flash ROMS to the device after Unlocking Boot-loader on HTCDEV and rooting the Device.
Does any one know of any way to remove S-Off at the minute or is this unlikely in the next couple of weeks?
I tried a few ROMS including CM9 and Paranoid Android without success but have to applaud the Slim ICS Rom for the pure delight in ease of Install and it runs beautifully as it did on my Galaxy Nexus. Is there something about Slim ICS that makes it more simply to port to than others on the market at the minute or is it just my device.
BTW I ensure I went down the Fastboot avenue with Cache and Dalvik clearing etc to try and prevent a Boot-loop scenario but only ICS worked for me.
Anyone out there wishing to try a fast light and very simple ROM to port to then I highly recommend this avenue to explore. :victory:
no, sorry there is no way to s-off a htc one x tegra 3 version.
Did you flash the boot.IMG of each ROM and then erase cache in fastboot? Might be the reason.for other roms not booting.

Thanks. Well 3-5 hours of screen on time is definitely an improvement for me,since my current Nexus can barely stand 1,5 hours of browsing. I just got an oportunity to buy a grey one although I wanted the white one. Hope that I won't be disapointed in the terms of looks.

This handset is way better for heavy use than my G nex was and I find it to be of a much higher quality than the Samsung unit. I found that after a fast boot cache clear then the One X runs other roms without issue. Currently trying out Cyanogen Mod 9 and it too runs smoothly on this handset. Must say that this is probably the best handset I have enjoyed since the Nexus One and I recommend t to all of you considering a move in handset.

As per the title, will I miss the Quad Core? Especially concerned about smoothness in the browser, for example scrolling when viewing flash elements is as if the flash element wasnt there on the One X.
Im considering the swap as I want a Nexus device for dev support and can have a bit of money left over for the next Nexus if I do this swap.
It will not be a regret! I was a fan of the build quality of the one x and its speed but the nexus with jb on it ownes the one x (in my opinion). Plus there is a port of HTC sense 4.0 if you are a fan of sense!

Thanks for the reply mate. How does the battery life compare (screen on times)? And does the Nexus feel "cheap" this is one criticism i see levelled at it a lot. I have the option of the S3 but that does look ugly and cheap (too much chrome and too much shine as well as too much plastic.)
I will miss the One X's looks but I love the look of the Nexus, particularly on the front.
Could you give me a test of browser/flash performance? How is it on the Youtube website scrolling when the video is playing? Are button presses on the flash object (like pressing play/mute/pause) instant? I'm a heavy flash user (cricket/football/Sky Sports streaming) so this is important to me.

Brilliant. Just trying to think of things I could throw at you lot here - I know what works smooth on the One X and what doesn't. For one thing CVG on desktop mode would have lag from when you put your finger on the screen to the actual scroll taking place.
PCgamer.com was also similarly troublesome on the One X.
What "Screen On" times can I expect with a Nexus? I get 3/4 hours on the One X
You'll get comparable screen on times. Most people get in the three to four hour range. Some less though, and I have seen upwards of five plus hours. A lot will depend on your setup and kernel of choice.
The One X is a nice phone, one that would be tempting to me, as I do like Htc's build quality.
The Nexus doesn't feel overly cheap to me or like to much plastic. I think that may be due to the Glass front and I run a cover so that kinds of changes the feel of the textured back to me.
I do really like the dev community and support that the Nexus receives. One of the reasons that it would be hard for me to leave the Nexus.
Good luck in your choice.

Trust me, i owned htc and samsung phones, and since my htc desire days i stopped using stock browsers and dolphin was the main one on all phones that followed. after getting the gnex i was still skeptical about stock browsers, but it's really the best browser i've tried so far, adding to it's speed all the cool stuff like guick controls and inverted screen rendering, u just can't go wrong with it. Furthermore the jelly bean experience is far away from anything available on any other android device out there. I posted a youtube link a while ago about a review for JB on gnex , a part of the review concentrates on browser performance, i'll post the link here as soon as i get to my pc (don't feel like searching over my phone)
Edit: as for screen on times, it depends if u're planing to get the gsm or cdma (verizon/sprint) version. I have a gsm one and on ics i used to get continuosly over 5hrs screen on. On jb it dropped to ~ 4-4.5 hrs , i think Google Now is eating the battery, (giving me navigation and calculating traffic to home) even though i don't need it, and actually i'm still enjoying all these JB features so i guess i'll turn some of those uneeded gnow cards OFF soon, pretty sure it'll improve my battery life more

Guys you're being ridiculously helpful and I'm seriously tempted to jack in the One X and get the Nexus tomorrow even!
That review you mentioned above would be great to see.
What JB ROM/Kernel combo would you recommend and could you point me in the direction of the thinnest case for the back of the phone?
I'd be on GSM in the UK BTW.
Does overclocking to the 4460's 1.5ghz massively impact battery life? And how effective is undervolting? I've read you can UV the CPU/GPU and Screen as well as another chip?
For the fella above that had the ONE X would you say the camera/screen is markedly better on the HTC or is it negligible? Screen more important than camera to me.
Also is this colour accuracy patch still in use with many Kernels? The ONE X screen is streets ahead in terms of colour IMO and this seems to certainly help? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1521195
Lastly just to reaffirm, scrolling performance with a flash video playing is instantaneous?
Don't even need 1.5ghz. Its smooth at 1036mhz.

How much difference is there between the screen and camera? Can you see pixels on the screen of the nexus being pentile or is it as pin sharp as the One X (which looks like a magazine print to be honest).
How would you rate performance of the Nexus in relation to the One X ?

I can't say on the Stock Browser with Ics, as I was using Chrome. But on JB with the stock browser, I just opened Youtube, and had no lag at all. Very smooth. I've been really impressed with the improvements to the Stock Browser in JB. I tried Chrome, and it was choppy. With the performance of the Stock Browser, I see no reason to use anything else now though.
What everyone else has said about not needing to overclock. Very true. I run at 1036 with no issues. I will push it up to 1500 if I want to run a bench test, but other than that, there really is no reason for me to OC.
The Gpu can be OC'd. I haven't noticed a lot of difference between 384 and 512. I don't play a lot of labor intense games though. Jelly Defense and Ski Safari are the only two games I have installed at the moment. Even the stock 307 setting works fine for these.
I have tried a few of the Kernels, but have been using Trinity exclusively now for the past few months both on Ics and now on Jb. It's all subjective to personal taste though. If you make the switch, there are many Kernels and roms to choose from, all with there pluses.
