Hello everyone,
I was wondering if there was a way to change the color scheme of my phone and possibly change the batter icons etc..
Currently I'm running stock ROM, rooted.
Right now I don't want to try a completely new ROM and was curious if changing the scheme around is an option?
Thanks for your help
Uot kitchen is a great tool. Check it out its self explanatory.

uot kitchen is not for our phone..
1. it doesnt have options for our phone screen size.
2. when going through it .. it appears to be older and no options for ics.
also whe looking for a them make sure it is based on your phone/rom and version or most likely it will not work
i have one for att lh1 firmware search in this forum if that is what you are running.
i'd love circle battery mod for the jb release .

There doesn't seem to be a single developer who implements this. I hate circle battery mods, and I think percent in battery looks cheap. I LOVE the way the % looks on the S3 (number + percent sign). If someone could make a zipthemer of that kind of mod, but with ICS colors of course, for Jelly Bean, I would love you for it. I made a zipthemer from one ROM that had the mod built in, but now when I flash it on several ROMs, especially ones with mods, it completely effs up the clock!
CM10 has one very similar. You might be able to pull from there

If you use a cm10 rom with the touchwiz theme and select the percentage battery it will show the green battery icon and a percentage next to it.
Anyone knows any battery mods flashable that work with CNA?

I been looking for a nice theme for my S3. So far I have not found one that I like. I have look at the App & Theme Section. Anyone have a nice theme that you willing to share?
Thank you!
Need more info. What rom are you on? If you flash cm10 or aokp there's hundreds of themes for them in the market and the main android themes section.

Can I do it without rom? I only rooted. (New to Android.)
Maybe, you need to at least have a custom recovery installed, and find a theme that is for the stock rom

I have had rom toolbox pro for awhile and with my evo 3d it never worked to change status bar icons (battery etc). I was hoping today that it would work on the s3 but still no luck. Am I possibly doing something wrong or is that a known issue? And if it is a known issue what the heck does that feature of the app work on???

I've emailed the dev a few months ago on this and he said he'd look into it. I think he gave me the run-around.
Damn. That sucks. I was pretty pumped when I remembered I had bought the app and maybe I could finally use it. Thanks anyway dude.

Yeah I tried that. I guess it could work on stock roms but I'm using the Phantom rom where he customized the battery.

Problem is, a lot of ROM toolbox replaces images based on names. There's a lot of redundant images in the touch wiz framework (they add their own images and keep the aosp ones.). This means that ROM toolbox will replace the aosp, which arent the ones in use, so it makes ROM toolbox obsolete. Also, for the battery images, ROM toolbox has 100 different images for the battery packs, it's that it doesn't have 100 images for the charging also, so you'll see your battery icon change shape while you charge.

Hey thanks man. You gave me an idea and I was able to get it working. Seems like the battery icons towards the bottom actually work. Maybe more/less. Just try a bunch.

The reason I bought my Nexus 4 is to forget about flashing custom roms and stuff! I like to use stock and rooted, but I notice that all themes are only compatible with cm 10.1 or AOKP roms, so my question is if there is a way to theme the stock rom framework the way u can in cm10.1 or AOKP? Thanks
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Yes, it's possible. You can pull the appropriate files and decompile, theme, recompile, sign, then push it back to the phone (that will require a lot of patience and technical ability). You can also try using ZipThemer, but I haven't found any compatible ZipThemer themes in the N4 forums -- in fact, I'm not even sure tgat ZipThemer is compatible.
But the easiest way would undoubtedly be to flash a ROM with Theme Chooser capabilities and pick from the almost-thousand themes available.
Btw, is it okay if I ask why you don't plan to customise the s**t out of your N4? Personally, the only reason I bought the Nexus is because of the immense dev support, and also to teach myself a bit of programming and modding along the way.

You could flash a deodexed stock ROM, then you'll have a very theme-able "stock framework".
Yeah but the thing is that when I start flashing roms then it's like an illness that I can't stop, I lost so much time on my galaxy s3 flashing roms tweaking and modding, man it just gets crazy! Also the update to 4.2.2 it's coming soon so I wanna stay on stock rom to get it as soon as it comes out!

I'm wanting to flash rasbeanjelly due to its amazing theme but I'm happy on stock so check that ROM out its pretty stock but the theme is really nice

I changed my Rom to CM10, and the camera on it takes low quality pictures, and the video is even worse. How do I fix this? Could I get the stock camera back? I also preferred the stock messaging/phone app. How do I get them back? Is any of this possible, while keeping CM10? I'm still a newbie at this. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.
Stock apps for samsung do not work on cm or aosp roms. As far as the camera goes some roms have better ones than other you just have to find the right rom.

Thank you for answering my questions. What's a good rom you would recommend, and where could I find other roms?
Ptmr3s jedimindtrick. Or try embryo by mohan
Those are the most stable touchwiz ROMs out there imo
Thanks, I'll look those up. Do you know how to change the color, and look of the little icons (wifi, clock, battery, etc ) on the notification bar? Just in case I don't like the ones on the next rom I get.

Google "UOT Kitchen" and then you can modify practically anything on your ROM
