Hello,
I have one HTC One X, and i use Android Revolution HD 9.1.X and i try to upgrade to 9.7.2 today.
I boot in to recovery, start the upgrade, everything seems to be ok, i press reboot, but the phone stops and i can not access HBOOT menu. I try Press Volume Down and Power to start the device into Bootloader mode, but nothing happen. Only the nice HTC quietly brilliant
Can I fix this? yes i can

I flashed my standard Desire and one of the first instructions was to enter Hboot by holding down "volume down and the power button". I would then attach the phone to my PC and install the custom drivers.
However, I am now attempting to do the same on my brothers HTC Desire HD, but nothing seems to happen when holding down volume down and power. It just boots normally. We are attempting to install the Unrevoked stuff. His DHD is a 3 Mobile one (and shows a 3 mobile splash screen at the start).
Any idea how one gets into hboot on an HTC Desire HD?
Try selecting reboot and hold vol down. Phone will vibrate like mad but should get you to fastboot.

If that doesnt work remove and insert battery, push once on powerbutton immediately after hold power and vol down.

You need to disable HTC Fast Boot.
Settings > Applications > Untick "Fast Boot".

Hey people,
Just rooted my HTC Desire yesterday and today my phone will no longer enter into the boot menu when I hold the volume down and press power.
Got a stable version of Insert Coins' Gingerbread/sense rom on there at the moment and it boots up fine into that and works perfectly, but yeah like I said I've lost access to the boot menu and am unable to roll back or anything like that.
Pull the battery out and try again

Go to menu/settings/power and select fast start-up or something like that. The new sense gb roms have a new feature that keeps the phone in hibernation.

I have see that HTC has made it real easy for us to mess up and brick our phone. My question is when you get a bootloop or get stuck in a HTC logo, how do you get out of it now becuz we wouldn't be able to take out the battery ..... How do we get out of it?

Hold down power, the 3keys will flash for some time. As soon as the screen goes of, hold down vol - for some time until you get to hboot. Its tough at first, but you'll get it.

hi! big problem here,i tried installing new kernel on my hox did everything written in the thread but yet phone is stuck on htc logo...can't boot to bootloader, when i try power volume down it just restarts and is back on htc logo...adb isn't working too...says device not found...anyone have ideas?thanks
About what thread you are talking?
And, what kernle you've flashed?
If you can't boot in bootloader, i think you've flashed a kernel of other phone, like OneX+...
I think you aren't holding volumedown and power long enough. Hold them for an eternity then it should boot to bootloader.
thanks u are right!!i was holding them for like 30 seconds and it booted into bootloader!problem solved!thanks a lot guys
