This summer right after the 'apple ban' was lifted, no Site Google was pointing towards could ship a GNex. I had to drive around to find a retailer that had one in stock. Eventually I purchased one for €380.-
The other day I noticed a large retailer is asking €519.- with a discount to €429.- right now! Is the GNex getting rare already or what?!

The phone isn't rare. You can get them all over.
Maybe in the USA, but in Europe you can't order online from Google.

You can easily order it from Amazon germany, it's 330€.

In the UK pretty much the only way you can get one is online. Shops stopped selling them about 7/8 months ago.
I bought mine in july for about 375€. At the moment there are some special offers for about 300€. I think this is quite fair for such a good phone.

I would try negri or expansys. You will have warranty through them. You will NOT have warranty with newegg or amazon. And I also suggest waiting till February and see if the 32GB comes out. 16gb version price will probably go down. You might find a good deal on a slightly used one from somebody unloading to get a 32GB nexus aaaaand, it gsm version might officially be released in the USA and then it will be safer to buy through newegg or amazon. Anyways, buying through newegg or amazon right will only only allow the exchange/return period as your warranty. Not good if you ask me.
My grandma beat me down and took my nexus. Sent from a jitterbug with beats by dre.
All GSM phones come unlocked.
Newegg, Negri, Expansys are all good choices. Can't really go wrong with either three.
I personally bought mines from Negri (look for coupons if any exist and you can get a good % off)
Keep in mind that the white GN and GSM 32GB GN is coming out at the end of February (or so) if you're interested in that.
Pretty much what rbiter said.
personally i recommend negri electronics. they're one of the best places to get it. also currently the cheapest. and they honor the years warranty from samsung at no extra cost. they also include a US adapter.
i bought mine from them.
also, keep in mind that the 32GB version is coming in a little over a month, so if you need more than 16, you might want to wait.

oh, and it works great with t-mobile in florida.

Adapter? I ordered mines and didn't come with an adapter. Worked in the wall just fine. I had a yakjuxw build. You might of gotten the UK version so it needed a US adapter, that's probably it.
But regardless, Negri has great customer support + fast shipping. Would buy again, take a look at them. Definitely the cheapest and google around for a coupon (as I mentioned before.. you might save some more!)
I purchased mine from Negri. Had a problem with the first unit, would not recognize my SIM card. Had to pay for a second unit to be shipped while I sent the first one back. Sent the original back in the same box the next day, never even opened the headset or charger. They told me would only take 10 to 12 days for them to issue the credit on the device. They received it on December 19th still no credit and they are not responding to my emails. Now I have to dispute through my c/c company. As far the second part of the question, my GNex works great on TMOUSA! I have not had any issues with the phone working on their system and the speeds are pretty good, not LTE good but still good. I'm getting over 7Mbps down and upper 1's up, I'm outside Philadelphia.

Have you tried contacting them via Twitter? they usually have great customer support. I'm not sure what's up but I'm sure they'll fix you right up.

yeah i got some time... i was thinking prices will go down closer to the end of the month because of the release of the 32 gb version so im hoping to get a 16gb a little cheaper... honestly, its kinda tough to find a good deal on this phone... if n e one has coupon codes let me know! lol thanks for ur help guys
I'm sure you'll have a lot of people recommend Negri here and I can vouch for them. They offer competitive pricing as well great discounts.
I purchased mine during the holidays with free shipping and received mine within a few days.

I haven't tried twitter but I will thanks for the suggestion. The reason I bought from them was positive reviews from other buyers. Kind of pissed at them though, 3 emails unanswered and I'm out $750 waiting for them to respond...

You could also give them a call,
Toll Free: (888) 358-6358 x 0
(888) 358-6358 x 4 (Accountant Office)
Most likely closed today but tomorrow should be fine. Also seems that their Twitter customer support is still active today, so that might be your best bet, seem to be very friendly and helpful.
im still debating waiting to see if prices will go down a little more....
just bought from expansys... $649.99 with promo code for 20 off
goooodbye t989 samsung galaxy s ii helllo nexus =)
Just like the title says, have you had to ship back your Nexus to Expansys who THEN ship to the UK to have your phone checked out by Samsung?
Does it really take 6-8 weeks?
My phone does not charge my battery anymore. I've been using one of those external chargers for the time being.
Should I just get this done some place near me?
Well, I'm in France so I can't say, but I bought mine via Pixmania, but the vendor was Expansys and the GN came right from the USA.
The thing is : the exterior shipment box wasn't damaged at all, but the Galaxy Nexus package itself was kinda bumped and got black stain all over it
I wouldn't mind, but now (about 3weeks after receiving it) to top it off I have a dead pixel. I'm considering sending it back to Expansys for repair (if I got another one or two dead pixels...), so if you ever send it to Expansys, well I'm all ears. Good luck.
Well just think.. shipping to Expansys, then Samsung Europe, then they have to fix it, then back from Samsung Europe to Expansys, then finally back to you. 6-8 weeks sounds possible.

Definitely DOES sound possible, also it's what Expansys has stated. Really looking for opinions from someone that has done it. Thanks for the input though.
Usually these time frames are established to under promise and over deliver. It's entirely possible that this could be done in as little as two weeks.
Sounds like a faulty battery. I'd try a replacement battery from amazon before shipping it out

If you're looking for a cheap GN then Amazon UK and Expansys have it for £399.99 at the moment:

Geez to bad I'm in the states
I should have posted and told you guys this would happen last week when I bought one from Amazon UK for £449. I have a proven track record of this sort of bad luck...
No regrets though. Loving it so far.
Beware, if you get a faulty unit they would not accept a return and will tell, you are on your own ,and deal with Samsung, at least that what Expanxys USA did to me

To be fair YOYO41, Amazon UK have a great return policy and at the time I didn't mind paying a few pounds more for it from them over somewhere else. We also have distance selling rules to protect us here in the UK.
I recently had a problem with an expensive watch I had bought from Amazon after 7 months. Waterproof seal had failed and it had started to mist up. Within hours of contacting them a brand new replacement was in the post. That sort of reassurance is worth paying a little bit more for.

I know you're angry (I see this post across threads) but have you called them? At the end of the day, it's a grey market import and you assume the risk of being stuck when purchasing.
hey guys.
i live in the uk and was wondering where i can get a white gnexus... was it ever released here? also why is it 150 more on amazon then the black version?!
thanks
adam.

Can you use search or google? It's not that difficult to find it,
http://www.clove.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-nexus-16gb-white
Every importer has it. It's a bit more expensive because they came much much later and there's not nearly as big of supply/market for them.
I know Negri Electronics has them for something in the $450 range. Not sure what their shipping policy to the UK is though.

Does anyone know of anywhere in London (England) that has the Nexus 7 2013 LTE version in stock for outright sale, not as part of a SIM deal? Or anywhere nearby?

I ordered mine online direct from Google and it arrived the next day.

Answering my own question in case it helps someone else.
The O2 shops have the LTE model for sale at £320, which is a fair bit more than Google want. But I queried why they are £20 more than Google's price and was offered a 10% discount, which a) brought it lower than Google's price, and b) I accepted immediately. So I'm now a happy bunny.
