Xperia T home launcher not smooth and few lag - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I used JB adreno drivers on my arc, and I used Xperia T home launcher. speed of animation is ok when I swipe an desktop page but when I pinched this into floating widget, It wasn't smooth and very lag. What should I do now ?

Is the stock home or Xperia s or gx home smooth?

yup, when compared with xperia s or gx launcher, the xperia t launcher is laggier especially in swiping between the app drawer. It is weird since that others are saying that the launcher is faster that xperia s launcher.

try the xperia gx or xperia s launcher on your phone. if they're smooth, the issue is probably with the xperia t launcher (as what kaz has mentioned). if the gx or s launchers are laggy as well, the problem lies probably within your phone. try to delete some apps or kill background apps more often or something.

Photo and video widget in go launcher ex?

Is it possible to add the photos and videos widget to another launcher like launcher pro or go launcher ex??

I think GO launcher ex has a widget like that free from the go store. But to use the sony one you have to have the stock home, its something in the framework or libs or something like that that makes it usable only with the sony home launcher

Apex Launcher

So, I believe this to be an Ion issue only, but I'm not totally sure. Upon changing my launcher to Apex, I can no longer access many of the widgets native to the Ion, such as the (extremely convenient) toggle buttons for WiFi/Bluetooth/NFC/Vibrate/etc, the default digital clock widget that is the first thing you see when you first start your shiny new Ion, and many others. Any help on getting these to work in Apex would be a godsend.
Note: I can still change to the Xperia Launcher and see all of the widgets perfectly fine, they're just not available to place from Apex.
Some widgets are native to the xperia launcher, try using power toggles from the market

It is the same with most of the launchers. Widgets from one launcher is not usable on the other. Nothing new.
These widgets are dependent on the launcher.
I miss the walkman widget when using another launcher, so sticking with xperia launcher.

The widgets are only compatibles with the "home xperia" original
Is it possible to unpack the apk and remove the dependencies for the home launcher?

Well, thanks for the help guys.

You could try using ported widgets that are not dependent but doubt there are very many and allot of them don't play very nice unless all Sony stuff is not in the build. I would not mess with it though as you could cause a big problem. Maybe in a few years we will get a unlocked boot haha
I miss the walkman widget.

I guess we do have an option! I have been using Xperia GX Home with Xperia Home Preferences in Xperia T ICS ROM and it does have that feature wherein u can hide the unwanted apps from the app drawer. Try it out.

The Sony launchers ALL (request)

Hi I was searching for Xperia gx and Xperia t launchers and thought maybe if we can share all the available Sony launchers here. And also the mods for Sony launchers as well.
Can anyone pls pls tell me which version of Sony launcher has changeable dock background? I remember using this feature in some Rom but now all Rom are based off on new Xperia z launcher. I have used the jb launcher from Xperia z and I find it a bit laggy after few days of use. The stock Xperia s launcher is good but I can't delete unused screens here.

Launcher + Widget issue. Please help!

I just got my ZL today and I spent all day customizing the way I want. Got root access , deleted all the useless stuff...and then installed apex launcher. Here is where I got into trouble. On the Xperia launcher I noticed 2 very interesting widgets (sony gallery preview widget and sony notes widget) . After Apex launcher was installed I noticed I didn't had access to that 2 widgets mentioned above.
Is there a solution/workaround?
No. These work with stock launcher only.
