WTB: Galaxy Nexus Standard Battery Cover - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Verizon's shipping me a Galaxy Nexus to replace my HTC Rezound but they ran out of battery covers. I'm looking to buy the standard battery cover used/new (as long as it has no scratches, good condition)
I'm also looking for an external wall charger that can charge a standard battery or external battery. If anyone has any recommendations that'd be great
Shipped to 93410
Let me know!

NFC Antenna is inside the OEM Battery

So after ordering two 1900mah spare batteries from ebay I found out that the antenna for the NFC chip is located in the battery. The replacement batteries I ordered do not have the antenna, neither do any of the other batteries I've seen. So I went to the source Samsung.com and they aren't available for the GSM version only the Verizon version batteries were being sold. So where do I find a GSM extended battery? Or any battery with the NFC antenna inside? As for the batteries I ordered? I guess they'd be fine in a jam but to lose features like beam & NFC is unacceptable for the long haul. All feedback is much appreciated.

A seller named shimshop on eBay is selling 2000mah extended batteries that are genuine Samsung, with NFC. There are many threads mentioning this. I bought one as well.

here's the link,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/12083246205...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_4968wt_905
ships from South Korea so it might take 1-2 weeks for arrival
Something to consider is switching over to external USB batteries. Not only are internal batteries phone-specific (and obviously have NFC issues with the Galaxy Nexus), but there is an increasing trend towards using polymer batteries that are able to fit in unusual shapes but are not user-replaceable (easily). I've got a pair of APC UPB10s. They work with all four phones my wife and I carry, as well as my Bluetooth headset, a host of other devices, and I've got an adapter that lets me use it on my infant daughter's bouncer and swing. I can also carry it in my pocket without a cover (or fear my keys will short it out), I charge it via a mini-USB port (micro would be better, but I don't need a battery charger), and it has a 10,000mAH capacity compared to a spare battery running on the order of 2000mAH. The only downside is that if I'm out of juice I become tethered to it until I can recharge, but a little pre-planning lets me charge in my pocket and it still beats needing to power off my phone just to swap a battery.
Just something to think about instead of dropping more money on batteries you'll end up throwing away when you upgrade your phone.
I actually have three oem samsung batteries, 2 standard and 1 extended, and 1 third party brand at 1450mAh, i've also ordered, but not yet received yet a powerocks 7800mAh external battery.
i wont even need to change out the extended battery, or even use the external, so I dont know why i have all these.

[Q] Secondary Battery Charger?

Anyone have any good recommendations on a secondary battery charger? I have the extended battery in my Nexus just about all the time, but I've been noticing its time to start carrying around a spare battery with me.
If possible I'd love it to be cheap, maybe sub $15, and any little add in features like built in phone charger or cradle would be excellent too. If possible, I don't want something so cheaply made that it may blow up my house
I saw the official Samsung charger, but $25 seems kind of steep for just a battery charger. I may just go for it in the end, but I'd assume you guys know a lot about whats out there.
Just charge both battery's in the phone while at home, one at a time and simply carry it around after? Saves you $

Theres a simple battery charger for like 4 dollars on obostore
Wow, thanks for the obostore recommendation.
FYI: That $4 charger is only for the i9250 (GSM) Galaxy Nexus.
Also, curse you all for not linking to it and making me take 20 seconds to find it .
Link for the lazy.
You can get a pair of extended batteries and a standalone charger on eBay for about $22.
There are some docks on ebay and amazon (if you are looking to spend a little extra $) that would charge up your phone and have a spot for an extra battery to charge up at the same time.
Edit: On a completely unrelated note this site is awesome and these things are so cheap!

Shimshops'Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus GT-I9250 Cover Extended Battery Charger

Does anyone use this charger?
Is it a dual charger (does it chrage the phone PLUS a spare battery in once) or does it only charge one spare battery?
TIA
It's the official Samsung battery charger. It only charges a battery, but it's designed so it can also function as a stand for the phone. It makes it really nifty for traveling.

Portable battery packs for Samsung Galaxy s2

I'm going away for a weekend in a couple of weeks and have quite a long journey - 5 hours or so each way - and was hoping someone could recommend a good mobile battery pack for this? Quick look on Amazon and came across these (no link because new member....);
EasyAcc 8400mAh Portable Emergency Universal USB external/extended battery pack
PowerGen Mobile Juice Pack Ultra / External Battery Pack 5200mAh High Capacity Power Bank Charger 1A output
New Trent iCruiser IMP1000 11000mAh External Battery Pack and Charger
Third one looks a bit big to carry around to be honest, like the other two being quite slim, but was hoping someone could recommend anything in particular
Mate ..why dont you try ..samsung 1350mh official bettery pack..its easy and can be used as a case too..search it on ebay..cheerz

Thanks for the recommendation mate, but looking for something a bit bigger in regards to battery life.
I use a cheap AA battery/Solar panel charger when I need to be away from mains power for a while. Maplin sell them for around £13
http://www.maplin.co.uk/solar-charger-388758 <-- this is the exact model I have. Been looking for a way to mount it on my bike now that I use the GPS a lot.
I personally use a Energizer XP8000, perfect for anything and not just the phone.
Thanks for the recommendations. Found someone at work that had the New Trent one I was looking at and didn't like the shape and size of it. Wasn't sure on the Solar one from Maplin and the Energizer one was a little pricey for me. So I've gone for the EasyAcc option i posted - nice, slim and easy to carry
I am using the New Trent iCruiser IMP1000 11000mAh External Battery Pack and Charger at the moment for holidays where i can charge my phone and the gF but looking at swapping this heavy and big beast for the 2800mah pen charging sticks from HK which are so much smaller and ligher plus good quality.
2200mAh Backup Battery Cover Charger Case For Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 Black
I'm using this one.. It's good, and it does its job like it should
choose the slim and thin
Hey,mate,I suggest to buy a charger with more cetificates to ensure safe and enough capacity, you should check the product parameter,I personally use kinkoo 8000mAh.silm and thin.enough for me,you could chek it in google.

You can check ANKER brand. or many users have also had good experience with hyperion.

Did you manage to decide on one - I've recently picked up an I9305 and want to get at least a couple of spare batteries and an external charger.
I had 2 genuine HTC batteries and 2 cheap Chinese ones for my heavily modded HTC HD2 with an external charger. It was great for staying in hostels as I'd just wait till the battery was running low, swap out the battery and put it on charge - it's a lot less likely for someone to steal a battery and charger than a phone sat on a bed charging with no one around!
I was contemplating picking up a similar set up but I'm a tad more worried about putting cheap batteries in the S3 - I'm in the UK and the Anker batteries are £10 where as in the US they're $10, but the cheapies are £3 - I'll avoid the "genuine Samsung" ones for £4-10.
The Anker batteries seem to get a reasonable write up but I'm more interested in any major complaints regarding the cheapies.
I like Anker too. Antec is good too though.
If you dont mind the additional bulk i could recomend a zerolemon extended battery...
