Disregard post, I just went back to the older theme.
On the forum, under the username it says more info, the info that shows the country flag and carrier. I use to be able to see this automatically but with the recent forum changes "more info" has to be clicked. Is there anyway to make this show up automatically?

Hi guys,
I've searched the forum to find posts related to sync'ing problems with facebook live profiles, of which the actions to resolve these bugs have already been put in place already in Dutty's V3 ROM.
To be more specific... when I get the list of Live Profiles on the screen, the photos for the facebook users start appearing one by one as it refreshes. However if i scroll down the list of users, it appears to have only have refreshed the users that are in view (so when i scroll down, all these users have no picture)... I gave it time, but nothing, so I pressed Refresh in the bottom left and it refreshed those username and displayed their pictures... but having scrolled back to my original position, the pictures have gone again.
What it appears is that the refresh is only updating the facebook users that are visable on the screen but not the whole list.
Is anyone having this problem? Or might have an idea how to solve it?
Thanks,
WizzKidd
A few people on the forum have suggested to others to "change the Data Connection so to download data automaticaly under updates and status/menu"
and,
"press update in the data settings menu and when it starts updating press home to get away from the updates and status page. It should carry on updating (the same way it would if you had it set to auto update) but you won't get the crashing if you're not on that page."
I cant seem to find these options in the Data Connections (under the Comm Manager, unless im looking in the wrong place). Can someone help me out here?
Thanks,
WizzKidd

That was me that suggested that on the Dutty V3 thread. The data settings are under all people/updates and events/menu/data connection settings
I think the op was asking about the way the profile images refresh though. This is an issue, but I would imagine an intentional one, so as hundreds of images are not being loaded into memory every time contacts is open. The more contacts you have with photos, the more likely it would be to slow down your phone I guess.
EDIT: Oh! ha ha, you are the original poster. Doh!
Is it just me or does this not work very well....When you go to "all people" and go to the events screen, it shows old status updates. I know the people in the list have updated their status, but it always shows old info, even after hitting "update now".
But if I go to each individual contact and update his info, it will grab the new status and display it fine. It will even display it on the "all people" events screen.
Am I missing something here?
How do I hide my last activity on my profile page?
I enabled invisible mode but it still displays my last activity, although some users don't have this info displayed...
I can't see your last active date, so I guess it always shows it to you, but not everyone else.
Try viewing your profile whilst logged out (if that's possible).

I think that's for the "About me" part.
I didn't realize there would be any continuing demand for my converter, so I brought it back. Hopefully someone will find it useful. Also, I will do better about checking back on potential problems. Unfortunately I lost the source for this project (I think, I will keep looking), so any changes will require a new project. Luckily, it is not complicated and can be accomplished rather easily if need be, but I would prefer to avoid it.
These are the supported fields:
FirstName
LastName
Email
mobile number
home1 number
business1 number
home2 number
business2 number
faxHome number
faxBusiness number
company number (not sure i got this field right, but whatever)
There was previously an issue with names without a last name, but it should be working correctly now.
Procedure is the same as before:
This will NOT work with an Office CSV file (maybe in the future, we will see).
Ok so here is how it works.
Log in to your "My Verizon" account on http://verizonwireless.com/
Click "Select All"
In the "Select Action" dropdown, select "Export Contacts"
Click "Go"
Select "CSV (Backup Assistant)" in the drop-down
Click "Export"
Save the csv file it sends you.
Go to my website http://www.craigslistcounter.net/KinContacts.aspx and select your file in the upload section, then click upload. Save the Cellebrite XML file it sends you back.
Now, use johnkussack's most excellent KINO application to upload the Cellebrite XML to the root of your phone (instructions for setup there).
Restart your phone.
From the phone app, hit ##77647266488 and press call.
Enter 000000 in the code box.
Go to the "Contacts" menu at the bottom, and click "Import Contacts"
All of your contacts should import. 270 took me a few seconds. If it is taking too long you probably didn't restart after uploading the file to your phone (tsk tsk), so just shut it down and turn it back on.

Guh, just did a refresh of my server and I think I left the sleep functionality on. I will change it tonight, it will be running by about 4:30.
Thanks for letting me know.
I am having an odd problem where I cannot get things to default where I want.
For example, when I click on a link in an email, the phone will ask me to "complete action using" the internet browser or the popup, and will ask me if I want to use it "once" or "always". If I choose "always", I get the following message: "clear default settings by going to settings > applications manager > all". And then the next time I click on a link it again asks me which to use and we repeat the process. If I click on a link for a forum thread, I get the choice of Tapatalk or internet browser, and the same "always" or "once" selection, rinse repeat. It just doesn't seem to understand that I want it to always open links in certain apps even though I am telling it to. When I go into the settings > application manager as directed to manage defaults, apps show as "no defaults set". I also can't get it to default to youtube or any other app for that matter.
Am I missing a step, or doing something wrong? It's really annoying that this comes up for every single link I click on.
TIA.

Well, I have been having a similar problem. I got my Note II (N7100) in November and various things won't set default. One of them is the 'stay awake while charging' feature which is very irritating when used in a car cradle. I've done a factory reset and no improvement. Your specific issue I don't think I'm having, but there have been other areas too.
