Sorry just re-read my post, didn't mention what setting you had to calibrate.
In the Display settings under G-Sensor calibration. Make sure you place it on a flat surface.
i have tried it now but what is it to do with the screen sensor?
i havr just checked if it helps and it didnt :-(

I have dimiui running on my arc s all is well apart from hardware leds any idea how I can her them to work?

I had a similar situation on another Miui rom. I discovered that if you deactivate the auto screen brightness the lights between the buttons come back to life again but other than doing that I've been unable to get them to work in any other function. I think its just the way that Miui roms are ported.
Hahaha how weird that works thanks

Change brightness slider. It is a known issue with the kernel.

i agree with the statement above. it's a way of our phone to save battery. try going on a darker room and you'll see that bottom buttons lit.
it doesnt seem to be working , i can adjust brightness on the slider no problem but when i select auto and cover the sensor the brightness does not alter
is there anythingi could have changed to make it do this

Wen I placed my fone on bright sunlight the brightness automatically increased and wen I covered the sensor it was back to normal

there is no option to check and uncheck in the settings regarding auto brightness, but i guess our phone has the sensor and its always on.i noticed it while playing fifa 14 and sometimes its trouble to see screen flicker, moving my hand i wanna switch it off temporarily
Ah yes I almost forgot there is no option to toggle autobrightness in the stock fw.
Also its activated only when the brightness is set over 25%.

Nope, i never set brightness to max but still it never worked.
Go to call keyboard and type *#*#7378423#*#*
And then in service testing, test your autobrigtnes.
